The magic number of craft singles for a proper grilled cheese sandwich from someone who can’t eat cheese anymore) is I’m gonna say all of them yeah I said it I stand by it I’m from New York so we go big when it comes to cream cheese n grilled cheese. cheese proportions should be ridiculous to anyone not from New York when it comes to bagels and cream cheese and grilled cheese 🧀
Yessss! I just started using mayo on my grilled cheese a couple years ago, my GOD! So clutch! 🤤 But um... Why did you make her the bigger bowl? 🤣 It's ok, people have a habit of trying to "fatten" up their spouse. I'm guilty of it, for me it's a badge of honor 🤣 like YEAH! Aly’s excitement at gummy candy is everything. The hot sauce packages looked so good. At least 4 slices of cheese, 2 of which are Americans are the minimum amount of slices. Food looked so nostalgic and good.

I like to get the inside half of the bread toasty too. It’s an extra step pre toasting one side before the construction but worth it.
Croutons are another great soup cruncher!
My mom's used butter and milk in Campbell's soup. This is an American and classic 👌! I even cut my grilled cheese into little squares and put them in the soup!
I used to eat that exact thing every Sunday after church/ Still my favorite lunch. I also add a big pat of butter to the top of the soup. Perfection!

I usually attempt this sandwich with 2 slices of "cheese". Half naked (shirts off with American flag bucket hat.) Throw the tub of tomato and milk to heat up. Then enjoy!!
milk in the soup is the best way to make canned tomato soup. that grilled cheese looked soooo good not too sure on the butter and mayo thing tho but it turned out very visually appealing. i use 4 pieces of cheese unless its deli sliced. also i'm a huge fan of sandwich cheese and then adding a slice or 2 of provolone so good!

As a 49'er (years old; not a 19th century prospector), I've had this combo literally 100's of times in my life. Never with milk in the soup, however. Also, I find 3 slices of cheese the perfect number. Also, I use yellow mustard on them. Adds a nice twang.
My girlfriend makes home-made tomato soup and gouda cheese on sourdough sandwiches on the reg. They're fantastic.

We sure did! As kids we watched our dad do that and he loved it
the thicker the better, used use what we called the bird bread( the fat piece usually in front of loaf that generally was feed to the birds.)

I feel like 1% milk is more ‘22 than ‘94. For ‘23 I’m surprised it didn’t say soy milk.
When I worked at Farmer Jack in 2002, I remember stocking skim, 1/2%, 1%, 2% and whole milk and everything being branded as LOW FAT LOW FAT LOW FAT
then later in life we realized it wasn’t the small fat difference, it was the dairy itself fucking everyone up 😂

Not to be a kill-joy, but I've always wondered if canned food is bad for you because of the week supply of sodium per serving, or for the razor thin metal shavings showing at 6:16 that will end up in your body for 50 years.
I see what you're pointing out, but I'm not 100% sure that metal shavings or maybe a shredded piece of the label. The main reason I question it is that the can opener Sean is using does not cut or pierce the metal, it works by separating the lip on the can, so theoretically there should never be any shavings.

Technically the sandwich is British and tomato soup or “gazpacho” comes from Spain. I remember 2 people arguing that the most American meal was Pizza😐
