Dairy-free fun fact: golden mushroom soup makes a great swap for cream of mushroom soup in green bean casserole at Thanksgiving!
Campbell's actually recently released a gluten-free version of their cream of mushroom soup that uses cornstarch and rice flour instead of wheat flour. I'm not sure if it is available everywhere, though we have it at our local Market Basket.
@@yelljal2764 that's cool of them! Hopefully someday the dairy-free and gluten-free versions of things will be easier to find!
I've been making my own in a big batch once a year to freeze for holidays. But if that one works, I may retire the ritual. 😅 The base of mine is steamed cauliflower, and it somehow doesn't end up tasting like cauliflower. Likely because of the ridiculous amount of butter I cook the mushroom and onion in. Lol
Fun fact: that's nothing new to use another type of mushroom soup--been around since the 60s and people who say fun fact...well, let's just leave it at that

Tomato Bisque is definitely top notch. With grilled cheese it’s just the perfect cold weather meal (also the bisque topped with grilled cheese croutons makes it fancy)

Can't imagine eating those creams straight up without incorporating into a recipe so kudos for bearing through that. Chicken, veggie, and tomato are the go-to's for Campbells, some others here I never even knew were made. Good episode for increasing my Campbell's soup knowledge!!!

I might have missed it, but one of my favorites is Mexican style chicken tortilla soup, even if it is just nostalgia as I haven't had it in over 9 years😅
I cooked meatballs in french onion and cream of celery soup with sour cream and then served on egg noodles. Quite tasty. The cheddar cheese soup is fantastic in a mac & cheese.

If they like the Tomato bisque, they definitely need to try the Lobster Bisque. Its one of my top two, along with the Chunky Potato with Bacon Soup. I think it may be harder to find, as it is part of their reserve line.
