They were fed from the boilers which is the building with the 4 square chimneys. The four round chimneys behind them are the bypass exhaust stacks for the gas turbines. The output for the gas turbines is towards the back of the site, that you can just see one of at around 20:46. The road you pointed out at 19:44 used to lead down to the Killingholme A site that I used to visit, but is now demolished. Now it just leads to the 400kV substation for the Uniper site and behind that, the new section is a further 400kV substation built after Killingholme A was demolished. What you do need to understand that whilst your drone is small and light it doesn't have to actually make direct contact with a 400kV system to cause a problem. If it did happen to fall whilst over a substation and passed close enough to a connection, it could stress the insulator and cause electrical faults. I appreciate that you didn't fly over the substation, but I have seen some drone pilots do it and it is an extremely dangerous and stupid thing to do.
By "extremely dangerous and stupid" do you mean 100% legal and absolutely not a problem? 400KV is either sufficiently spaced that scaffolding pole wouldn't cause a problem, or it is totally enclosed in inert gas (such as at the station to substation interconnects). "stress the insulator" No. I've dropped them 60ft or more and when they hit concrete they tend to go "penk" and bounce rather than shatter.
You was decent enough to go and let them know what you was going to do then they wasn't interested in you showing them the law then the muppet still blatantly calling you a lier the fool soon got taught 😂 Nice audit well done 👏
I’d be straight in to the police with a subject access request for the cops BWC footage and ask what their policy/intentions are regarding retaining the footage. The pc indirectly told you he was retaining your image/video ‘just in case’. Every force will have a policy for deleting footage that does not form part of a criminal enquiry. They don’t get to keep it ‘just in case’ Their data controller should have a policy that’s available for you to view. It’ll be called something like Data Retention SOP & Guidance
@derekmack I think they send it to an intelligence data base. Not sure of the proper name I remember hearing a cop from Brixton threaten power to the proletariat with the same. He told her he was following up to have it removed and laying a complaint for her behaviour. She tucked tail and left.
@@judithmatthews8460 that’s exactly why he should be making the request. If you end up on an intel database for doing a lawful activity you can request that data is deleted. Let’s say it’s LID (Leicester Intelligence Database) they have no lawful reason to hold onto his image. They could inadvertently enter details about his description, his bike, his clothing and his activities into LID and before you know it he’s a suspect in a theft because a crime occurred and the perpetrator had an orange bike … all because the pc held onto an image of someone carrying out a lawful activity. Whatever goes into a LID can be searched in genetically. He should ensure all that data is deleted
@@JustAlex848 once arrested it’s a different ball game. The prints, DNA sample etc will only happen after an arrest which would be when they’ve satisfied (reasonable suspicion) that a crime has occurred and you are the suspect for it.
Police body cam footage is kept automatically for 30 days and is then automatically deleted. It requires a SAR or a criminal charge to be made for it to be kept. Until then nothing happens with the footage. It's a different issue with video or other intelligence gathered outside of an interaction. In such cases it can be passed on to other departments who are handling the situation such as a protest by a certain group of people.
There is nothing stopping them from looking up the rules and regulations regarding photography and video recording. They repeatedly state how concerned they are but at the same time appear clueless when it comes to some of the most basic rights members of the public have. Heck, they don't even understand the limitations of their own on-site policy. That is something they have supposedly received training on and yet still fail to understand the basics of.
"There is nothing stopping them from looking up the rules and regulations regarding photography and video recording. " Yes there is. The fear of learning and educating themselves stops them. While they have the delusion of being right, they're happy. Why would they want to feel unhappy by learning they're wrong?
Why do these people lack critical thinking? Being offered access to the law and then refusing to view it does not make sense. Come on people, Stop, Think and Act! Always take up the offer of learning the law.

Six billion profit from one power station in one year? Since they're doing so well, i guess that's why our domestic energy bills are so low and being reduced all the time 😳
BP said they were making so much money when the oil price was hiked up, they didn't know what to do with it all. It's all by design to keep the pressure on.
Sounds kind of far fetched to me. Maybe that's more like, what they have SOLD in a year, but even then it's a bit much. 6 million homes each buying a thousand pounds worth of electricity, for example, and I can't imagine a single power station covering such a large area. Maybe it's profit their whole company had last year?

If you're talking about "nitty gritty" is has absolutely nothing to do with a racial slur. It only came into print in the 50's or 60's. The Oxford English book of twentieth century words suggests it's a rhyming form based on grit
It derives from the French in some way to black slaves. I didn't find it has been reported or taken as offensive as the cop was trying to make out. As usual, cop trying to put DJ on the back foot.@@alanmahoney167
I always assumed it means getting down to the dirt or earth, or substance etc. one snowflake gets offended by nothing and then 500 sheep blindly follow. 😂😂
Yh ..I had to pause and do mi googles. What is the origin of the phrase nitty gritty? Some word historians say that nitty-gritty refers to the debris - or remains -- left on the floor of slave ships. This reference may make the word offensive to some people. However, there is no written proof that nitty-gritty originated on the floors of slave ships.9 Jan 2016

So satisfying to see DJ educating 2 cops and security who really should know the law themselves. Notice how quiet they were listening to DJ. I think they must of felt embarrassed at their own stupidity, and leaving thousands of us to see how thick they are lol
Dj , this is a masterclass of auditing, the two staff members and police were slowly ground down by your clearly superior knowledge of trespass and drone laws, slow start brilliant end, class
Two staff members let themselves down once the police turned up. It went from a situation where they'll be letting their legal team to sort it out, to trying to get you done by the police while they were there. I mean, the police officers must see this kind of attitude from people trying to manipulate the situation like that all the time, and it must not look favourable for the company, or other staff members when they have to attend to the place next time for something serious. Still, nice police officers, working to patrol the area and just being a inquisitive about what's going on. Didn't push or try to take away your rights, and even informed you after the fact they recorded you with the car's video camera. I wonder how different things would have been if DJ hadn't have gone down to explain his actions prior and they'd started to question his actions :)
The police only mentioned the previously COVERT recording to try intimidate DJ ( as they thought) by saying we have your image and we will put it on record . Intimidation FAIL :)
To be honest I haven’t watched the video or read all of the comments. But one of the first peaked my interest, “the police react to a multi-million ££ business but don’t react to the citizens they are here to protect” . Having stopped calling the police to report crimes I have witnessed and had absolutely no response this resonated. Policing by consent, they are quickly losing this from the law abiding parts of society!
The Man Bun was hoping to get him prosecuted for recording though, I would not call that 'polite' I would call that passive agressive , not a guy to be trusted , clearly a BOOTLICKER
The only member of staff to come out of this interaction with any credence is the chap in security. The other two 'managers' were busy stomping their feet because they were not getting their own way. The 'Cop' backed off to be fair ... he quickly realized that DJ was capable.
The policeman could not even be bothered to get out of his car and address both parties in a respectable, polite manner that is expected of someone in his role. Shameful lack of professionalism.
I have to say I felt sorry for the security - answering questions they are not trained to deal with, yet another case of they should always pass it along to site management to deal with
Thank god i watched the full video, After the encounter inside the building half way through i started writing a comment on how these 2 men were fairly reasonable.. the minute the cop turns up wannabe Machine Gun Kelly started acting like a idiot, Great Video Dj.
You should have pulled up the Police for saying "You've been caught on camera." The use of the term caught carries a large implication that you were doing something you shouldn't be doing or wouldn't like people to be aware of you doing. Obviously this was far from the case.
You handled that professionally DJ. The police patrol would dearly have liked to pull you in on some minor charge but they would be better employed pulling in the real criminals instead of just winking at the law. It’s a natural human reaction to look for an easy conviction.
There was an incident outside my place a few years ago,a narrow road, 2 police cars turned up,first one shut his engine off, great,-- no noise,a second pulls up,left his noisy diesel engine running for the best part of an hour, all i could hear through the window was" clack, clack, clack" for nearly an hour. My second gripe is emergency vehicles on blues and two's late at night or early in the morning , we don't want to hear "ne ner, ne ner" at 2 am in the morning. It's anti social and unnecessary...
A great example of why capturing interactions on camera is often a very good idea indeed. I do worry though that the CAA are looking to close down sub 250g drone use with ever more draconian laws and I wonder if they watch these auditor videos and they could be influencing them on future restrictions. Amazing how if your house is burgled, or your car is stolen, or when there’s an assault you are lucky to see a police officer, as it’s ‘crimed’ to get it off the books, but fly a 250g drone elicits an immediate police response. Something is seriously messed up somewhere. Watch out for the ‘Legal Team’ DJ😂
one power station made what did the security guard say 6 billion profit in one year, and the people that use their electricity are stuggling to keep the lights on, heat their homes, i know people that have to miss meals to pay for the electric and heating, of course this is down to the goverment not restricting the prices these companies can charge, where they used to put a cap on the amount they could increase their prices too, but now ( around 12-18 months ago ) the goverment lifted all caps, so these companies are making record breaking profits, the goverment is quids in with the extra tax's they get from their increased profits, while the everyday person stuggles, myself between electric and gas per day I am spending over £20 per day, more so when the weather is colder etc.
Nice one DJ .. So just being seen with a camera these days is enough to warrant interrogation. Glad you got the nitty gritty of this one sorted. And apologies to anyone with nits I've offended 😂😂😂

The police are not helping DJ by telling the company that this is completely legal and telling the company that yes, this and that. I thought the police don't take sides and enforce the law as intended. Disgusting
"Nitty Gritty" has no racial connotations. It's clearly short for "Nit Picky" and "Getting Down to the Grit". It was too funny to hear the cop think it's racial.
Actually there are groups within the U.K. certainly in Scotland that have forced its usage to be questioned and police Scotland have given cautionary advice to their staff. In the USA it has already been claimed as racist due to zero evidence and people putting ‘nits’ and ‘grits’ the awful American dish together as something to do with detritus in slave ships. @@fearnpol4938 I never knew that. The cop however suggested it when it clearly had no racial context assigned to it, which shows he may have flaws in his situational comprehension psychologically.
You've figured out the best approach is to be upfront and civil and they can't figure you out! The security staff were reasonable in the circumstances and didn't do anything stupid, and similarly the police officer who turned up. So all in all, well done all concerned. No drama today.

The locals around killingholme in general are always pretty paranoid, I fly on the regular around there just for the weather shots and had a few people asking what i'm doing as though there's something suspicious about it. A local parish council had a discussion on drones a few years back and they immediately assumed the worst and needed explaining that there are laws existing in regards to their concerns and that drones are simply tools not an intent.
The industrial estate is a high crime area around there and I do know of one site on there that was broken into after having a drone flown around the specific area. Didn't get away with much as it was too heavy for them to move it fast.

"stress the insulator" No. I've dropped them 60ft or more and when they hit concrete they tend to go "penk" and bounce rather than shatter.
I spent 33 yrs as a fitter (MMD) in coal fired plants. The CEGB was a great employer.
You was decent enough to go and let them know what you was going to do then they wasn't interested in you showing them the law then the muppet still blatantly calling you a lier the fool soon got taught 😂
Nice audit well done 👏
DJ , the very best auditor bar none. Always polite but prepared to stand his ground. 👍🏻
In my area they must keep all footage for 7 years minimum.
Yes there is. The fear of learning and educating themselves stops them. While they have the delusion of being right, they're happy. Why would they want to feel unhappy by learning they're wrong?
All the times they are looking at their phones , and cant look up photography laws .Takes 2 mins .
Why do these people lack critical thinking? Being offered access to the law and then refusing to view it does not make sense. Come on people, Stop, Think and Act! Always take up the offer of learning the law.
Ego won't allow it
Turn the engine off when you engage with the public officer or foxtrot oscar .
And get your lazy @rse out of the car
that car is sucking some tax payers diesel
Its strange how people openly admit they don't know the law but tell people what they can't do . 🤡🤣
What a complete dope. Denying you told him the law and now he’s dropping you in the shit unnecessarily. You offered that pillock the opportunity to see the law and he said ‘NO” that’s his fault then.
Well done DJ educating them is so important, because they are demonstrating how much they need it!
Typical Prat who would try to drop ANYONE , in the Sh*t to save himself. Every one should beware
of this type of person. I hope he see's himself on this video he is a right creep.
Didn't like the fact DJ recorded the truth.
The police officer is a disgrace and should be dealt with accordingly. The company security are just plain thick.
Thick is a compliment
The police officer didn't escalate the situation or pretend he knew the law and was fair-handed. The security didn't know the law but didn't go mental, or even phone the police. They did good. You, not so much.
Six billion profit from one power station in one year? Since they're doing so well, i guess that's why our domestic energy bills are so low and being reduced all the time 😳
What was that I hear on the news about Fuel Poverty !!
All owned across the pond!
" Unexpected item in baggage area!" Written right across their faces! 😂😂DJ clearly stated he'd done what he wanted to do, done the filming he wanted to do and wanted to leave, but they still didn't understand!
28.47 the copper sneakily pointed his bodycam at you but made up for it by saying so at the end. He really didnt have a clue regarding the photography laws. Hope you and your family had a great Christmas and all the best for the new year 💚
I must start using the phrase “nitty gritty” more often
"The Nitty Gritty" was the place where African slave girls and women were taken to be raped by plantation owners and their workmen in 1800s America.
There would be more risk to them from geese flying into the pylons than your plastic drone, I do hope they have a special area on-site as a designated safe space for those scared of the world. 🙄
I absolutly admire your way of conduct !
Tremendous. DJ explains and they don't listen. Legal team needs to look at breaches of intelligence of staff talking crap. X
12:41 the Man Bun says he does not know the law , but when immediately offered to be SHOWN the law he refused .
(Ignorance is bliss I guess , and the Man Bun must be the happiest man on that site by that measure :)
Ego won't let him learn
"Hello, this is the Police. We will not attend your burglary, nor your assault. We will not even record your bike theft or shoplifting. We will not attend school trespass or drugs offences and turn a blind eye to most car crime. BUT IF YOU SAY NITTY GRITTY YOU WILL GO TO PRISON FOR 20 YEARS!!!!!!" What an absolute tool of a copper. Everything that is wrong with policing nowadays.
Probably set for promotion.
I love the bit were the bun doesnt know the law, but he doesnt want to know it either.
Thank you for all your hard work in producing these video's. For someone like me who is old and very restricted in where I can go, I find them fascinating
You're very welcome!
The aerial view and your explanations really help me understand how these large industrial plants function.
So tempted to get my own drone thanks to you.
i really dislike how the guy gave a false testimony to the police and said you had NOT done what you recorded yourself doing, and then got caught because you pointed out you had it recorded, and then he got upset about that and tried to act like you did something wrong by recording proof of his lying., and then after that he tried to get your details. absolutely not.
Agreed. Caught red handed 👊
Gotta say you are very good at this DJ AUDITS... much better than the competition.
“You can’t say that anymore” one of the many things wrong with modern society.
That police officer seemed a little "over zealous" over keen , what police station?
You got down to the nitty gritty. Good job. I was born 1954. I’ve always used the words nitty gritty. I will continue who will I be offending. The world has gone mad DJ
The officer ( in this instance ) was somewhat educated on the origins of the Nitty Gritty phrase , and made it clear that he would not be prosecuting its use.
@@A2Z1Two3 woopy doo. Educated or not what was the need to address DJ s. Words. I understood his context. Was the police officer offended. I for one am offended not to use innocent language used from birth because of someone’s biased mentality to accuse of being offensive 🤮
@@A2Z1Two3 Educated? He was completely wrong. Google it.
@@A2Z1Two3 Oh how very fkn nice of him ! Jesus Christ this country is a joke! And people like you are part of the problem!
@@BB-br4qh yes DJ. Even had to step in and educate trespass and photography rights. police were sound but would have been more professional to get out of the car. Remember police by consent and respect
30:00 I love that you just educated the Police Officer as well as the security.
That police officer was really looking for something. Haha. Held your own. Good on you
Another fantastic DJ Audit and a schooling for everyone, including the Police! Here's to a happy, healthy 2024 and more exciting videos to come!
Well done DJ, you tied them all in knots. Nitty Gritty 😂😂😂😂
"Do You Work Here Or Are You Visiting Or Something?". YES!
The two lads at the end are great, they know the police officer really well, the lad on the left is Nitty his mate is Gritty.
Impeccably handled by DJ - any suggestions of wrongdoing was disarmed with facts, logic and civility 👍🏻👍🏻
Great vid! Went from cordial to frosty! Police doing their usual! If they can get ya they will attitude!
I loved the chewing gum and cigarette analogy of their ' policy' rules. You fid good, DJ. Happy New Year 🎊
The cop must have been tipped off... Denial of the call.
The management were awful. And the security guard being micromanaged.
The staff got a little more brazen when the police showed up 😂😂😂
So satisfying to see DJ educating 2 cops and security who really should know the law themselves. Notice how quiet they were listening to DJ. I think they must of felt embarrassed at their own stupidity, and leaving thousands of us to see how thick they are lol
I love it mate so pleased you keep them on the right side of the law
The instant anyone picks up a phone and turns their attention away from our conversation to either call someone or to answer a call. I walk away.
Dj , this is a masterclass of auditing, the two staff members and police were slowly ground down by your clearly superior knowledge of trespass and drone laws, slow start brilliant end, class
'Nitty gritty' could be offensive? Beam me up now Scotty.😮😂
Hmm, what more can anyone expect from a cop? Sense? Unlikely.
We see everything haha he goes by the law nothing you can do . Well done DJ 👍🏻
LOVE THE WAY DJ HANDLED THE COP. GREAT WORK. I DON'T KNOW THE LAW! BUT YOU CAN'T VIDEO.😂😂😂.
The reason why he doesn't know the law is quite simple really - he doesn't want to know the law, that's what he clearly said!
It's strange that we only time we know about these places is when something goes wrong, thanks for doing these videos
I think the straff there still acted politely, definitely not hostile. Cop was a bit nosy but that's ok, he didnt overstep in my opinion. Great video!
A strange cop , he was just wasting time so he doesn't have to attend calls ,so he tells the radio he cant attend as he is busy ...wuth DJ
they waste so much time and resources
Well handled DJ 👍, but what a pair of wet blankets those workers were 🤨
I have to say I felt sorry for the security - answering questions they are not trained to deal with, yet another case of they should always pass it along to site management to deal with
Thank god i watched the full video, After the encounter inside the building half way through i started writing a comment on how these 2 men were fairly reasonable.. the minute the cop turns up wannabe Machine Gun Kelly started acting like a idiot, Great Video Dj.
I prefer these vids where you really try to explain things. Nicely done
Hey DJ, my girlfriend got me a DJ Audits keyring for christmas, I have no idea how she got it but I was so happy, love your channel and what you do
💚💚💚
no wonder DJ has a smile on his face !!!
Well done DJ, totally bossed the whole interaction with your knowledge, professionalism and remained calm and polite throughout. Excellent video 😊
What I DON'T understand s why the PC doesn't stop his car engine - for two reasons - 1. noise and 2. enviromental!
"Nitty gritty has racial connotations" - what a total tool that officer was.
Thought police nonsense
"'Nitty gritty' emerged as a corruption of 'nigritique'. The French colonists called the African slaves and creoles 'la population nigritique'. So to get down to the 'nitty gritty' as the English speakers pronounced it was to mix with the people downtown. The standard dictionaries are coy about this derivation."

I love these videos dj. I think when the police showed up the guy thought you were in trouble. 😂 should of gave a choice of a dummy for a Christmas

Now there’s an idea! 😀💡 A DJ audits dummy for the temper tantrum brigade. DJ, you might need a bulk wholesale quantity of dummies for this operation! 🤣🤣🤣 Or a DJ Audits branded stress relief toy 😮
OMG ..... Defo needs a 'D.J. Audits' branded dummy..... that is a wicked little touch....!!
Well done DJ, you handled the situation very well.
Here we see a good example of the police actively trying to help the company by finding good points to either arrest the person (DJ) and what else. The police are not helping DJ by telling the company that this is completely legal and telling the company that yes, this and that. I thought the police don't take sides and enforce the law as intended. Disgusting
Love what you do always a good watch. Keep it up cheers.
Ignoring the first recoded usage was in the 1930’s!!
“Nitty Gritty” is DEFINITELY racist as it comes from the detritus found at the bottom of slave ships.
@@fearnpol4938 look in dictionary
Nitty in these parts means a lowlife person, jobless, drug addicted, focused on how to get their next fix.
You articulate yourself very well, compared to other auditors that dont quite understand or can articulate themselves very well the police can prey on that but i think they almost think fuck getting into it with this guy he actually knows the law 😂

@@three-phase562 Most of the crime seems to the random people fly tipping their load down the road near the rail crossing or stealing gates from random places. year or so ago local authority installed traffic cameras near a school and all the conspiracy theorists came out of the woodwork.
