Nice looking fly Paul. Only found your channel recently, but very impressed with your designs. Glad you’ve dropped the background music too!

Hey Paul, tied one while I’m on vacation, so I had the swimmingpool to test it and I must say it swims perfect! Gonna tie some
more cause I’m prettig sure pike will like it. Great tutorial so tx for that!

Good stuff Mike. Did you tie the two hook version or the weighted rear shank version?

Nice pattern & tutorial. Could you recommend a substitute for the Pike Skinz head. Predator dub or something stiffer!?

Old vid but the head of these I used to use Merino wool. Pred dub is a better replacement. Even better would be nayat as stiffer and more durable.

Hi paul, i like your Fly tying patterns very much. I am curious to your camera setup. Can you tell me some more how to stay zoomed in on the vice? What camera do you use? With kind regards, Edwin

I use an old Canon 650D with various lens for the close work. You don't need macro for filming. Important that you use an adjustable tripod and good lighting.

    Great job!

Gotta spend $120 bucks just to get the materials to make half a dozen flies might as well buy them or something similar.. although I am an avid tyer former commercial tyer its crazy how much materials cost to make predator style flies while a simple rabbit fur style fly or wooly bugger will outcatch the predator flies every time

Nice fly Paul!!! When you tie Perch pattern what colour of Pike Skinz do you use..? Thanks

Always Yellow Esox on top blended with a little black as you get nearer the head. Then a choice of belly like lime, white or one of the yellow/orange blends
