It is a fast missile truck. The F35s go in ahead of it. Find the targets and share that data with the EX. Then the EX can launch its ordance at those targets from a safe distance.
The F35 is the forward observer and the EX is the artillery. 😂

Not really. It can use loyal wingman 60 miles in front, but that's not needed for most air superiority missions. It makes the enemy commit assets to counter it for sure. It's the 800 pound gorilla in the room that you are forced to deal with.

To highlight the difference between ABCD and E, we discuss the air superiority capabilities of legacy Eagles and E's ground attack role, though E’s mission also includes air superiority. With a powerful engine, high electrical output, a large advanced radar, and AMRAAM C7 or D missiles, the E is still highly competitive in air superiority, even against many 4.5-generation fighters. Those who make a point of distinguishing these roles often do so from a theoretical perspective. In practice, E is frequently deployed for air superiority missions.

The comparison isn't a good one. The EX is replacing the C, not the Strike Eagle. C model drivers are staying with the air superiority mission, not adding multi-mission/attack too. They aren't learning to drop bombs or even using the conformal fuel tanks. There aren't any orders for the EX to replace the E's to be sure. One day maybe, and perhaps a good idea. The EX is a very good answer to counter the current crop of Chinese and Russian "5th gen" fighters. I don't really consider them 5th gen, their systems integration is light years behind. The Eagle II systems are really extraordinary in picking out these aircraft and either jamming them or launching long range missiles at them. They can be coupled to loyal wingman to suck in counter air and ambush them..

There was a REASON why the F-15 Eagle was chosen to be Starscream, Thundercracker, and Skywarp in the 80's. Only thing better than it in air to air combat is the F-22. The F-35 is a joke and the Air Force made a HUGE mistake shutting down the assembly line for the F-22. As big of a mistake as the Navy retiring all of the battleships or the Air Force retiring the A-10. If the Air Force took the same approach as they've been doing with the B-52 we would be fine. If you're a fighter pilot you WANT to have 2 ENGINES when you are flying behind enemy lines so if one gets shot out you still have another to get you home. The F-35 only has ONE engine. Yes it may be a little more efficient but what made the A-10 irreplaceable was it's SURVIVEABILITY in the battlespace. It could take a direct hit and still get the pilot home in one piece. It is a flying tank. Of course nowadays MONEY rules the day and our military is more concerned about spending money on DEI and ASSUMING US fighter pilots will NEVER again have to worry about fighting close air to air combat dogfighting in the skies due to our reliance on high technology such as stealth where maneuverability and survivability do not matter. The F-22 and the F-15 airframes are and forever will be the BEST fighter designs EVER produced. An F-15 and F-22 NEVER been shot down in combat. They are the ONLY fighters ever built that can boast this. In air to air combat MANUEVERABILITY is EVERYTHING and how you survive as a fighter pilot to live another day. The bigger the surface area of the wing, vertical stabilizer, and flight control surfaces you have the more maneuverable you are which is the difference in winning a dogfight in air to air combat. If you look at how much surface area of the wings and vertical stabilizers there is on the F-15 and F-22 nothing else matches them.

I am not a pilot or an airplane engineer. I ask, why not try to bring back a new version of the F-14 ? We have nothing in the arsenal as a fighter with the swept wing technology allowing it to fly at such low speeds and high speeds. From the shows and documentaries that I enjoy watching, couldn't some stealth be applied to todays older plans, and isn't some of that in the paint applied to the plane, so why not the F-14. My feeling towards the F-35 is that the costs are a crime to the American people's wallet. Kelly Johnson would have been firing people in his days if such over runs would have occurred. I have known people who had the F-35 put on them to work on as the maintenance crews, and have retired because it just wasn't built to be maintenance friendly, compared to the F-16.
Again, I say this and ask these questions from the out side looking in, but find it to be a fascinating field, and Thank You to all the Pilots from all the branches for all the rides you gave me while working in Afghanistan for 2 years in our Surveillance Aerostat System I installed all over the country.
Thank you to all the troops who are a part of our armed forces.

What poor flight performance???? Stealth doesn't mean poor agility. Maybe you are thinking of the F 117. The F22 and F35 both have excellent agility.
Yes, stealth is compromised with external weapons, but they will still have a lower RCS than non-stealth planes. So they are still more survivable. Regardless, what is the difference between a stealth plane load with external mounts and a non stealth plane loaded with external mounts? You'd be able to see both on RADAR. That's the compromise of putting a lot of missiles in the air.

I think it's a much better idea just to buy more F-35A's because they are significantly cheaper and the F-15's can only perform their role in the modern threat environment if they are accompanied by jamming aircraft or behind F-35's. The next opponent is China and we might not want to expect everything to go as planned in that war. The US Homeland is no longer off-limits due to long-range missiles of various types that can be fired from submarines and cargo ships. In addition, we can't ignore the tens of millions of unvetted individuals that came over our border unimpeded over the last four years. Whistleblowers out of CBP and HS estimate that the actual numbers are in the range of 30 million, with hundreds of thousands of those being Chinese, Russian, Iranian, and even North Korean Special Forces. Our media basically never covered this problem except when they were helping to cover it up.
We have to expect that if war were to break out tomorrow, vast swathes of our infrastructure and critical manufacturing, as well as military bases themselves, would be attacked. We might not be able to muster tankers and jammers in proper formations because they might be destroyed. Thus, I believe that whichever platforms are most survivable should be the ones we invest in.

If India buys this plane for the 114 x MRFA tender, the F-15EX fortunes will sky rocket 🚀 with a host of options being added to its list.
It will be fitted with a slew of Indian made weapons.
These include 4 vatieties of Astra air-to-air missiles, 3 x Rudra anti-radiation missiles, an upcoming sub-sonic anti-ship missile (no not the Bhramos as Russia will not ok it), an EW jammer pod, a bunch of laser and glide bombs, at least one kamikazi drone, integrarion with the mini AWACS Netra 1, and much more.
Later it may be integrated with CATS loyal wingman under development.
Less likely -- It may get refitted with the Uttam AESA radar although not sure if it will be better than the US AESA radar. Hence unlikely.
One reason it has a hard time winning is that India already builds a custom upgraded version of the Su-30MKI which has most of the above integrated onto the plane. A mjority of the supply chain ⛓️ has also been indigenized.
The upgraded Su-30MKI also known as the Super Sukhoi, is way better than the new Su-57.

Dick was Immediately taken out and Grumman was Given the Green Light on Manufacturing - in fact they couldn’t sell their product fast enuf - so much so both Boeing n Northrop were both about to go belly up - Boeing asked Grumman to buy them out in fact but at the time Grumman bought Republic here on Long Island - Saved the A-10 for example and didn’t have the resources to buy out another company - With that Dick became VP in the Early 90’s - had a vendetta against Grumman - asked Grumman for an apology to which my father being a high level air frame engineer at the time sat in a committee of some 12 Grumman Staff and decided to tell Cheney - We are not giving You an apology - in fact Pound Sand - We make a Great Product that we are Proud of so what are we apologizing 4 - With that A cat cost 38 mill and you had a great piece of machinery and at the Time our Govt had a debt of roughly 1 Trillion Dollars - Today Boeing can’t get a contract thru - a plane to fly without falling apart and Dick shot his Hunting Partner in the Face while Nobody worth a salt in politics wants to go anywhere near his daughter but Lying Ko - Mal - La who added ov 4 Trillion to our Debt of 28 Trillion while raptors cost over a Hundred Mill as China hacked into the US Defense Department (An act of War) n Stole the Raptor n produced a Stealth Aircraft of their own - Yea you know what your talking About😋

Don't think they can afford it, although that is the best plane for them.
They are thinking more in terms of very short range coastal defence.
They are considering 3 fighter -- F-16, Gripen, Tejas MK1A. All three have advantages and disadvantages.

targeting information to the f15 it will shoot its load
well beyond the enemy's effective SAM coverage.

      @markever234 28 дней назад +2

If the X came after airplane type designator you would be correct..as in " FX-15 " or just "X-15"; however, the X (in this case EX) comes after the model designator.. the EX is the variant/version number. F (Airplane type - Fighter) 15 (model number) EX (aircraft version) Eagle II (Name)

The difference between life and death is to believe! The true power comes from God Himself. with God everything is possible. It is written: " From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
peak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. James: 4. The Angels Commander and Lord ask for Lawful deeds. In His Presence there's peace. I have decided to put The Lord God Almighty first in my heart, moment by moment, today, everyday. " He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.
For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us."
    I John 3: 14 - 24. Glory to Jesus Christ. Alleluia.

I think there is another technological key difference between the two - The Fly-by-Wire flight control system, which makes the EX version much more agile, while increasing its air to air combat capabilities!

The original F15a, through the C Model, were strictly fighters, pilot only. The Strike Eagle required a WAO, weapons system officer due to its strike capabilities. The new EX can fly with either the pilot or the pilot and a WSO.

I Call the F-15, E.S.A.D, Extremely Sexy and Deadly, the F-15 has set the bar for modern fighters as we know it. From day 1, it's power to weight ratio, vertical climb capabilities, can engage in aerial as well as ground targets, has the capabilities of carrying enough weapons to down multiple aircraft and multiple ground targets like SAM sites and radar compounds. Like the -14! It's big, it's fast and to its adversaries it's deadly AF, if you give a Russian pilot a 10lb chunk of coal, tell him an F-15 has identified and is now engaging him, that Russian will turn that 10lb chunk of coal into a 10 karat flawless white diamond faster than it takes the F-15s pilot to release an air to air missile
