I like to use a Rubbermaid bin, college style. #stayclassy

Batching cocktaisl is so handy! I have done it a few times, so handy having 10 cocktails ready to pour in a moments notice :D

I mean honestly, these should be in the fridge ready to go at all times. Not just the holidays! LOL

A great recipe to batch. Will try Pecan bitters next time I make it.

It really adds a nice touch to an already great cocktail!

I made a cocktail for guests yesterday called The Flannel Shirt (ingredients include scotch, Averna, apple cider and allspice dram). Someone suggested taking the single serve recipe and subbing oz for cups to make it serve 8, since 1 oz is 1/8 of a cup. 🤯 It was so easy, I made two batches and served 16 drinks in a matter of minutes. I hate mathing as well, so this will be my go to method from now on! Still have to do a little match for dilution.

Love doing this for a party! Especially ones which you can still shake like an espresso martini to get the foamy head. (lets you show off, but it cuts out all the messing with measurements etc.)

Yes! That’s a fantastic idea!! I would just remind anyone else doing this, that if you’re batching a cocktail you’re going to later shake, don’t add water to the initial mix because the dilution will happen with the shake :)

Hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving! The second I take the turkey out of the oven to rest, it's go time. I start getting everything else ready... It's also the exact time everyone realizes that I am missing and everyone tries to find me. My wife starts asking people if they want a drink and then has me get it for them... This would be a lifesaver! Also, I have to make Manhattans for my father-in-law and they are never right for him. He was curious about Amaro's during our summer vacation, so I feel I should prebatch this black manhattan, so I can tell someone else to pour it and let me do my thing... Might also prebatch a similar looking bottle of something non-alcoholic, so I can pour my nephew one too and watch my sister flip out...

Jess this is an amazing cocktail to batch before any holiday dinner or party!! I adore (I'd love to use capitals!! lol!!) the Black Manhattan!! I am a huge Averna fan, and Manhattans are one of my top favourite cocktails!! The Averna in the Black Manhattan makes this beauty even more delicious in my opinion!! I love this specific variation that you have made!! I'm totally with you on the hassle of mathing! I have to see if I can track down the rye that you use in Vancouver or order it right from the distillery. It sounds spectacular! Is this the rye you normally go with? I will be in bliss with this gorgeous cocktail! That's an understatement!! 🙂

14 servings sounds like a lot but I bet it would go WAY quicker when ppl self serve as I bet ppl will have more than that 4 oz per serving LOL, or at least I know I would!

14 isn’t enough for this crowd 😂 in hosting 12, and at least 7 of us are cocktail lovers, so… probably going to batch one more just in case 🤣
