I wasn't expecting my shout out to be on an episode that i was really look forward to. I listen to all your podcast so much that i had to support ya. They really got me into dnd and the vast creative well it can be. Thank you very much for helping me learn more about a game that makes me excited every chance i get to talk about it and play.
*Draco Gerus Bronzo* - Latin for "Dragon of the Bronze Voice" I remember speaking with Gary Gygax about the dragons about six months before he passed; I even asked about the "scientific names" he gave to every species in 1st Edition! He told me they came into being "with a lot of huffing and puffing" lol. Classic Gygax; God rest his soul.
An idea of unique Bronze Dragon Ability: Flash Flood (Conjure Water + Control Water) The Bronze Dragon magically drowns the battlefield up to the player's waist-height. Every 2 rounds the water level rises again to the neck finally above the head. I can't think of a numerical height for each level because different characters will be different heights. - When the water reaches the waist, the battlefield because difficult terrain as all non-aquatic creatures have to wade through the water. - At neck level, all non-aquatic/non-amphibious creatures have Disadvantage on attack rolls and the Dragon's Lightning Breath attack has an increased DC save of +2. - Above the head, non-aquatic creatures have to make CON saves against drowning, and all Lightning Breath attacks auto-hit. Maybe 6 rounds is too slow for this kind of ability, but I like the idea of the party racing against time and panicking as they realize what the Dragon is doing.
Given their desire for order even often above good, I think these dragons are the most likely to fall to Lawful Evil and even be swayed ro the side of Asmodeus.
And it also makes sense for blue dragons to be most likely of the chromatics to turn into lawful or neutral. Even when evil blue dragons scales are somewhat reflective.
Considering the announcement of Baldur's Gate 3 maybe you can do an episode on the city itself, or the dead 3, or Spelljammers since that might be what we see at the end of the trailer.
Agreed. There's mention of it in passing by tDC. Don't know if you've heard of Jorphdan, he's done a vid on it. ruclips.net/video/A_5clNv7k-I/видео.html Would love to see Will & Brian break down the BG stuff. Also, waiting to see if AJ Pickett does a vid. I watch like 5 different D&D content creators.
I would expect the bronze to be terrifying in his (non-)routine, taking full advantage of his amphibious nature. Like bringing the fight to the water, exploiting its lightning breath underwater to make it a sphere rather than a line and hit the whole party, and manoeuver underwater in such a way he could pick off casters first, etc.
LMFAO! Please put a random non-blinking “animal” in Super Quest Saga that ends up being a Bronze dragon. I can just see it now! “Uh, Percy. Have you noticed that bird hasn’t blinked once?” says Sebastian. “Well now that you mention it, ummm, it has been following us too...” Percy replies with a chuckle. “Well I do think that Animal may be spying on us. How would you like to proceed?!” Carter Huttonberg retorts in a jocular tone.
I have this idea for a family of Bronze Dragons where they've made a particular coast or sea their territyory, and anytime a ship returns from sea after a close encounter with danger, storm, pirates, sea monster, etc. They only returned safely because of those dragons. They shapechange into something else each time, so it's just accepted that that sea has "guardian sea spirits" of some sort.
I've seen the Repulsion effect as described as being both a cone of force and a cone of gas. I think I like the idea it's a cone of force, throwing it's enemies back. Repulsion. Ya know?
Another fun fact about Bronze Dragons are that they will not eat intelligent beings such as elves, humans, dwarves etc with one exception: Sahuagin! Why? Well, this is for two reasons. First it's because they're so evil and second is that they taste like sharks, so they make an exception in this case.
I'd be down for that kind of a monster manual. Just a heads up.... Did anyone else notice some of the monsters that are missing in the 5e MM? Centaurs, for instance.
Yo. Loving the channel so far. I will soon be playing a Bronze Dragonborn, Storm Sorcerer Tempest Cleric. Essentially a gargoyle sentinel made by an Ancient Bronze and an animator. He faithfully worships his maker, the Ancient. You guys should check out the character build. Starting at lvl12, going 6 each class. Elemental Adept feats, and end 13 Sorc/7 Cleric. Animated Shield makes it visually epic. I use a variety of Lightning spells up to 7th level, and a few thunder spells to help agaisnt immunity to lightning. With all the open options after selecting the element spells, go with support and social support spells, like illusions, enchantments, etc. Until next time, guys. Appreciate the topics, very much so Edit: Repulsion may be similar to thunder. Some energy fueled force
Ok but just imagine someone being sick of this freaky ass squirrel staring into their house and they try to pick it up so they can just put it down on someone else's lawn or something , but as you hold it it goes back to its original form. Sorry but that just had me laughing for like 10 min!
I'm old because I'm oxidized. Hahaha Like a flying squirrel style . *To the tune of chandelier*. I'm gonna fly through the ocean seas through the ocean seasssss You guys suck. Only under me will we become righteous . Uh oh lol Was this bike built in the 1940s? You must give it to me or I will not fight for you. Hahaha Ricky did you see that squirrel out there? It hasn't blinked in like 3 days. It's s just been chillin. LMAO Come to my sweet Beach layer I'll show you my hoard lolol
Ok I'm going to heckle the fuck out of every bronze dragon I meet to make fun of their stupidity in not knowing that if they wipe out all the sharks that means no more sharks to eat.
*Me, trying not to procrastinate
*Dungeoncast episode comes out
Me: A shit, here we go again.

Im just picturing a group of dragons starring in a medieval antique show arguing over relics.

Think about a shockwave moving through an underwater space. That’s the second breath I think
Looking to use an Ancient Bronze Dragon to be the party's ambassador in my upcoming seafaring quest line!
YES!!!!! FREAKING FINALLY, YOU TWO. 😂💜
you taking about a benevolent tyrant bronze dragon gives me an idea for a green dragon plot

i think the free polymorph is a fair trade off for weak lair actions

I can see a blue and bronze dragons mating as when their interests align they are very alike.
Bronze Dragons- the true heroes of D&D

they ARE in the monster manual, page 38 lol
Kobold Press have their own setting. Most of Tomb of Beasts was taken directly from that setting. The setting name is Midgard.
Nnnnoice! Good episode guys can’t wait for the rest. Especially the “Why won’t you talk to me?!” (Sleep Breathe) Dragon lol 😂🤣
That pirate voice during the short rest was pretty fucking good :-)
Thanks!
Gasp
Senpai noticed me
couldnt you flavor the repulsion as almost a sound wave of thunder, as they breath lightning pretty much a dragon shout.
Brian, that was a killer Pirate voice! I'm impressed! :-)
Thanks man
I know this is late, but I see the repulsion breath as a shock wave, like a Fus Ro Dah.

Bronze “ extra lawful” dragons
Ok I'm going to heckle the fuck out of every bronze dragon I meet to make fun of their stupidity in not knowing that if they wipe out all the sharks that means no more sharks to eat.
Fuck ya!
About that repulsion breath... FUS RO DAH!
Any chance of greens next?
they're just beach bronzed babes
Not too much about fitting them into a campaign though, other than the ultrarare example of one going evil dictator...
Episode 137... Any physics nerds out there?
You should always study the lore. Sometimes it is actually meta gaming for your character NOT to know these things.
I imagine bronze dragon, like war cheifs of history are want to do, will sue for peace...
