Can I ask where I'm supposed to begin? Lmao. All self taught for almost a decade and I don't want to waste this gift I've given myself. Music like this is why I still play
Couldn't agree more about The Contortionist. Those guys have so much talent. Best place to begin learning this song is to check out the tab book for Language! These guys like change tempos, keys and time signatures anywhere during their songs so it can get tricky to learn. A metronome is also very helpful in keeping time. I'm self taught as well so you can do it! Hope that answers your question
Thanks man! Yes it definitely is tricky to play. The Contortionist are known for some unique writing, such a great band. Thanks again for the compliment, cheers!
Thanks for the heads up. I saw his BIAS video but didnt think that tone was available. I spent way too long messing with delay settings trying to replicate it. Regardless I think the cover came together nicely. Thanks for the kind words
Oh my gosh, I do too. I don't know the answer to that. My music theory knowledge is very basic as well. All I know for sure is that those guys are incredibly talented!
Old comment but the answer is really no. They mostly use power chord shapes with funny positioning, or inverse power chords with an extra note on top for effect. Generally, these shapes are simple and similar to familiar shapes to most guitarists
Hey man you nailed that song ! One of my favorite songs by them and was going to ask you on the tuning specs for your amp I really Wana start learning to play this song but the tuning has been the most difficult part ):
Thank you so much Braxton! Language I is a classic. By tuning do you mean tone and effects? That intro is hard to replicate and I can't remember the delay settings off of the top of my head. If you search RUclips for the Language I playthrough using BIAS, Robby put a lead in the grid! Hope that helps
I can't remember off the top of my head. The band sells an official tab book. I know that they placed the settings there. The book supports the band as well. Otherwise, I'm sure there's a good tab on Ultimate Guitar.
Dude...... I wish I could play like you. So much skill. Excellent cover, man!
Thanks man! Your kind words mean a lot, I really appreciate it. Just keep practicing and playing!
You can bro just do it.
That's a beautiful Regius. Awesome playing too!

That top is ridiculous mann. So sickk
It definitely is. I'm still mesmerized by it everyday! Cheers Jim

You should play guitar at my place in the evenings and lull me to sleep lol. Nice guitar too!!!
Haha The Contortionist makes some amazing music. Thanks for the comment.
Had you used BIAS, Baca had placed the rhythm tone and intro tone with delay on the tonecloud. Nice work, regardless.
Thanks for the heads up. I saw his BIAS video but didnt think that tone was available. I spent way too long messing with delay settings trying to replicate it. Regardless I think the cover came together nicely. Thanks for the kind words
@@SeanTenney777 You definitely did a great job with a beautiful guitar. More props for trying to replicate it, yourself.
@@TyronTention Means a lot, thanks dude
Tight, great cover
Thank you! 🙏🏻
great work
Thanks!
Love the chords they use. Are they mostly jazzy chords, like 7ths? No music theory knowledge lol.

Damn that top O_O
Even crazier in person
What is the delay set to in the intro?

What camera did you use?
Pretty sure I shot this with an iPhone 11. I later moved to an actual camera, Fuji XT4. Cheers

Thanks man! The Contortionist are so good. Tuning is half a step down from standard
