I'm loving all of these videos man! Great playing, nice vocals, awesome production, and with great editing and camera work. I wanna see this channel blow up, keep 'em coming!
Hey, Jordan. I always come back to this video cause you did such a fantastic job with the mix. It's very well done. I've been trying to achieve a similar guitar tone for the past few weeks but I can't quite get that clarity and definition witch each chord without being harsh in the mix. Any tips on achieving a guitar tone like this?
AHmusic no worries my man! I can't remember exactly what I did for the tone but I remember dialing back the gain a lot for more clarity in the big chords. I also remember taking out a lot of the bass and some of the low mids as this is covered by the bass in the contortionist sound. I think I used a 5150 amp with a tube screamer with all the drive down and tone up a touch in the chain on the kemper. Sorry I can't remember much more about how I got it but hope this helped!
AHmusic I've got a couple more covers in the works at the minute as well as a naritive short film I've been working on for the past half a year. I've been recording my bands album too which will be out in the next few months so a lot of my time has been going into that, but there will be more covers in the next couple of weeks! Dig your videos by the way man :)
Jordan your cover look so god. But i have a question! I like your first effect guitare can you tell me ,how to do that? Bye and congratulation from France.
The first effect is just a delay. You can find it on any VST/Pedal basically. Just tune the delay to hit that sort of echo speed and you're set. (if that's what you're referring to)
I have to know man what amp/cab did you use for the intro cleans? I’m trying to achieve a similar sound in a song of mine and it’s got me straight stumped.
Can someone help me identify the instrument in the background that gives that eerie sound around 0:45 - 1:00. Is It a synth or just a piano with pitch correction ?
This is an incredible cover mate. Beautiful playing of pretty much everything. I will suggest though to not use autotune as heavily .. or at all. It really takes the feeling out of the vocals, in my opinion :] Cheers
You realize michael uses pitch correction in every song right? Just as every other artist. It doesnt hurt to use it in a cover. As good as your favorite singers are live, they all use pitch correction in the studio
Well fuckin done mate. I have a question, as you, i'm a multi-instrumentalist, but i have my "main" instrument, which is drum. You have a main instrument as well, or you just don't feel like you have one?
Thanks a lot! My main instrument is definitely guitar, its the one I've been playing the longest (13 years). I've been playing drums and bass for about 7 years and keyboard for about 5
+Lui The Ourea hey I hate how he didn't reply, what kind of amp or effects are you using maybe I can help. I have a fender mustang v2 and I managed to get a pretty close delay effect
I used an Ibanez RG721 and a Kemper for the guitar tone, an Ibanez GSR-something or other bass which ran through the Kemper too. A Rode NT-1 for the vocals and it was all mixed in Logic pro X. The synths were all made in NI massive also
this is beyond talent..
Fucking BEAUTIFUL cover man! i r8 it 8/8 m8.
Ulrik Linstad no. There is no 4/4 or any such thing in prog

Of all the covers I’ve seen of this song, you actually had the camera on the bass during the lick at 2:27 and that immediately earned a like from me
that guitar and bass tone together is THICC!!
Goddamn amazing! I saw this band open for TesseracT in London a few days ago and they were brill! Dude you should totally do a TesseracT cover!

I've been trying to achieve a similar guitar tone for the past few weeks but I can't quite get that clarity and definition witch each chord without being harsh in the mix. AHmusic thanks a lot man! Do you mean the clean or distorted guitar?
I meant distorted guitars, sorry I should have specified that!
AHmusic no worries my man! I can't remember exactly what I did for the tone but I remember dialing back the gain a lot for more clarity in the big chords. I also remember taking out a lot of the bass and some of the low mids as this is covered by the bass in the contortionist sound. You awesome, dude!! I will try that :) what you been up to, by the way? What plans do you have for your channel?
AHmusic I've got a couple more covers in the works at the minute as well as a naritive short film I've been working on for the past half a year. Incredible. You are using a 6 string. Can u please do a video of the guitar tabs?
Think you could do a tutorial on the intro? Awesome cover man

Wow.
Очень круто!
2:20 Bro, do you even cymbal? Beautiful Jordan, loved it! :)
Hey man, awesome job, you're a great musician :D
¿And what about the tabs, how did you get them? D:

you won the strandberg at tech fest :D
+Billy Kibble I did! :D
Im sorry this was so Good, i had to share!
great cover!!What's the guitar tuning?
+Angelo Macirella Judging by the way he plays it, it must be: Bb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb
same question

Wait, this was a cover?
I have to know man what amp/cab did you use for the intro cleans? I’m trying to achieve a similar sound in a song of mine and it’s got me straight stumped.
It was so long ago I cant remember to be honest man! There's a chance it might've been a Fender Twin
@@Jordan_Harris I appreciate the response man. I’m gonna have another go at it
Amazing cover dude!! What tuning did you use for your 6 string guitar?
At 4:37 his fingers are in a shape of what you would play a power chord so I'm guessing it would be A#G#C#F#A#D#
Holy shit.
Sick man. Stems?
FUCK ME! WELL DONE MATE!!!! Can you tell me what effect you use on the opening riff?
Nicely done son. I noticed you have BKP Juggernauts in your Ibanez. Never seen that combo before. How do you like it?
Manas Sharma Thanks man! They sound really good, loads of attack and clarity
Newcastle! :D
Great cover... absolutely amazed. How did you set that delay time for the intro guitar
Sick! Got any tabs for this? Guitar specifically :)
killer cover, respect for putting so much time and effort into it!!
also what model is that ibanez and what tuning is it in?
+boyajaka Thanks man! Its an RG721RW and its tuned to Ab Ab Db Gb Bb Eb (Drop Ab 7 string tuning but missing the low E string)
dude how did you manage to get those clean swells around 3:30 with the kemper? couldn't find a way myself yet.
Can someone help me identify the instrument in the background that gives that eerie sound around 0:45 - 1:00. Is It a synth or just a piano with pitch correction ?
Edgy Dave it’s a synth pad
Edgy Dave it’s a synth pad
Sir why don't you have more views.
what tuning are you in? or are you tuned differently for different part?
This is an incredible cover mate. Beautiful playing of pretty much everything.

Ehi thanks for answering.
Well, that's cool, keep on. You're talented, as every multi instrumentalist i know :)
Are those BKP Juggs in your Ibanez?
+luigi1mario I'm guessing yes due to the shirt you're wearing haha
+luigi1mario they are indeed
+Jordan Harris hey man. thanks for the reply :-) could i ask you for the settings of your delay and how you dialed it in?
+Lui The Ourea hey I hate how he didn't reply, what kind of amp or effects are you using maybe I can help. I have a fender mustang v2 and I managed to get a pretty close delay effect
marhsall jvm 410h. it has no delay. just wondering what ms the delay is set at
What Ibanez guitar is that?
Any tabs for bass?
what tuning is the guitar/ bass in ?
what is the tune?
Where did you get the bass tabs?
I didn't use any tabs for this song, I learnt it all by ear!
+Jordan Harris can you make tabs?
How did you do the delay?
dotted 8th note delays at around 140 bpm should do it
Hey man, There's a poster from SLIPKNOT....
+Naufal Laruku Lets not speak of that...
+Jordan Harris I like it, dude... by the way, nice cover!
