Here's my new favorite track, "Rain", from the brand new Novelists FR album titled C'est La Vie. I'm bummed to hear that Matteo is leaving Novelists. His voice is so unique and brought versatility to the band's music. His writing paired so well with Flo, Amael, and Nico. On the bright side, it's good to learn that his departure is on good terms and will lead to more music from Sal3m. Can't wait to hear what's in store for the future.
Edit - I'm happy to report that both the new Novelists FR track "Lost Cause" and Matt's work as Sal3m kick ass. Tobias rips on Lost Cause and Matt is better than ever. Plus Sal3m added Pierre Danel on guitar...Can't wait to hear what both bands have in store for 2021!

I love how u play the clean parts at the beginning not palm muted, sounds so much fuller and ambient than the actual track.

Pierre and Matteo worked extensively together on Sal3m. I don't see a reason not to bring him back! Tobi will be missed but here's to hoping Matteo comes back.

Buckeye burl is gorgeous, but there’s also a lot of really pretty Black Limba (probably better as a body, but still a pretty top) and some walnut is absolutely absurd.
Black Limba is beautiful. I had an Ormsby that had it as a body wood. Excellent option

@@SeanTenney777 True bands like Monuments have had a few frontmen an i feel they have only just found the right fit with Andy. So fingers crossed Novelists get someone with quality in all areas to fill the void
Animus is killer. Monuments knocked it out of the park bringing Andy in. I have no doubts they will find a worthy replacement. In the meantime, Matteo is still making music and its pretty damn good. Apparently the guys are going to help him produce it.
Yeah I agree it won’t be the same at all, I listened to his solo project when it came out and I was excited to hear the future work. It’s sad to hear that novelists won’t be the same but I am anxious to hear who they find for vocals. Here’s hoping for the best !
He released another single in March that's very good. I'm optimistic they will find someone great and Matteo gave us three fantastic albums to keep jammin to.

Are you using custom presets or were these factory options? I've been exploring my Axe FX III for some tones like this, they're phenomenal.
I used a 5150 tone match preset that I got from AxeChange. Tweaked it for a bit until it sounded close to Flo's tone when I double tracked it. It's also worth noting that I ran a Horizon Precision Drive in front of my Axe-Fx 2. Won't lie, I'm super jealous of your Axe3! That is one powerful machine!

Thank you Matt, I really appreciate it. First off, you are quite the musician! Just checked out your channel and I'm very impressed with your piano chops. Consider me jealous. I go direct into my Axe-Fx II which doubles as my audio interface. All you need nowadays for high quality recording is a solid USB interface, a guitar, monitors and a computer that can handle it. I highly recommend the Axe-Fx and you find good deals on older generations. If you want to go all digital, check out Neural DSP. As for a DAW, reaper is great b/c its free otherwise Logic is what I use. Hope that helps man!
