Monster-In-A-Box Halloween Prop

- This is my Monster-In-A-Box Halloween prop I built this year (2014). The box is pneumatic and controlled by the Boo Box Flex. We placed it in front of our house en route to our front door. It was triggered by a motion sensor. It was wildly popular and we got a bunch of great scares out of both kids and parents.

Love this monster box and would love to make one! Do you have a how to or list of materials used? This would be a first for me for this kind of prop. A lot of the other boxes I've seen fall flat... Love the way the everything is put together. Thanks you! :-)

can you tell me where you got your sound effects from. I have my box built, just can't seem to find any good monster, beast sounds that growl and sound like its trying to escape. Please help.
I got the monster sounds from iTunes. It was on a Halloween sound compilation by Halloween FX Productions called "666 Scary Halloween Sounds". I used a couple of the different monster sounds and edited the file for brevity and content. It seems the producer of the archive has removed some of the sounds now and it is only about 350 sounds. I think they removed the sounds I used. I purchased mine from iTunes and don't have copyright to them so I cannot legally share them. There are some other decent monster sounds left in this compilation, however.
I was able to purchase all 350 for $9.99 on iTunes just now. Can you remember which ones did you used?

Is it possible to share your sound effects used for this prop. I spoke to you last year regarding it you said you would send me the file VIA email but I am not sure I ever received it.

where did you get the audio for this prop?
Len Nova this is several audio clips I spliced together. They all came from a Halloween compilation called 666 Scary Halloween Sounds. It’s available on iTunes. They’ve since updated this compilation and removed many tracks including the ones I used. However, there are still some good Monster sounds on it. Everyone asks me for these tracks. I don’t share my files, however, because it’s not my original content and I don’t want to infringe on anyone’s copyright.

How much did this cost you
It’s been so long I can’t remember. Probably close to $1,000. A lot of that cost went into the prop controller. I’ve since learned about Arduino’s and if you used one of those in place of the prop controller you could shave off about $400-$500.
