I've been using Bose Sleepbuds II for a couple years now. They work fantastic at blocking out my tinnitus plus outside noises. The battery does last through the night, especially in Phone Free mode. But after about a year of use, there is a notable degradation in battery life. My buds no longer last through the night when connected to the phone. That is necessary when you need to have an alarm set. While far from perfect, I've been very happy with them.
I'm shocked that you got a pair to work reliably for a full year! I have 3 pairs because after a couple of months (max) the sound dims in them, even turned up to max. They still replace mine every time I request it, so that's great but yeah, not great.
@@BunnyJedi I've had mine since about Jan 2021 and they are still working...BUT...my right earbud is super quiet compared to the left, and often disconnects itself. I've also noticed I don't always get a full 8 hours of sound...so when it disconnects, I wake up from the sudden loss of sound. And now they're discontinued (as are the Amazfit Zenbuds). My husband snores, so I really need something. :(
@@cathierainwateryou could give the Ozlo sleepbuds a try. I read about them, but haven’t bought them for myself. Apparently three ex Bose employees bought the sleepbuds product from Bose and fixed the existing battery issues and launched the product under their own company. In case you buy them, let me know how it goes. They are a bit too expensive for me. 😊
These Bose buds are great. I've had mine for 12 months now, chronic severe tinitus sufferer after shingles. They do block external sound and the case carries a charge for over nights or weekends away. Highly recommend to fellow tinitus people (your not alone) and if its noisy when going to bed, wife watches late night TV, they are great too.
Yeah I love my Bose sleep buds. It's funny I forget that I have tinitus and as soon as you read your comment it's like that's all I could hear. It's just always there so I'm used to it unless it's super quiet (like right now) but even still it's just like background noise lol
@@apathyking1517 its a personal choice @apathy King. I prefer to water one's as it sends me to sleep very easy. Slight engine noise with waves on the boat. I know tinitus is a shit, but your not alone.
@@apathyking1517 I have tinnitus, I use the camp fire or rain sounds for sleep .......I have a high pitched beep...works like a charm, other than that, brain has gone through the habituation process so I don't really notice it during the day, only when sleep. Brighter days are coming my guy, it'll get better
Man I really like how you put the name of the buds you're talking about at the bottom. Makes it super easy to jump around if you're not interested in all 3 products. Great vid!
I purchased the QuietOn earbuds for traveling with a brutal snorer. I tried every size of ear tip and none would stay in my ear. When I actually held them in place, they didn’t work to filter out any of the snoring anyway. Unfortunately, I ruined one of the ear tips trying to remove it, and they won’t allow a return, even a partial reimbursement. I would recommend a different product.
I have used the foam ear plugs for over 20 years. I worked in a very noisy areas at my job. My ears got accustomed to the feel of them. So I started wearing them at bed time, but like you i could hear myself breath and my heart beating and pillow noise. I then added a box fan for white noise and air circulation. That was the ticket. Ear plugs and a box fan or the window air conditioner.
Thanks for the videos. I got my Amazefit from their kick start and during the whole year of owning them I only used them maybe 10 times. My biggest problem was that they build pressure into my ear canal which is supper uncomfortable for me. they also cause sweet inside my ear. And then my left bud just died sometime ago and it can't be charged anymore. So I end up buying Bose 2 and I can say it was a big improvement. no more pressure build up and less sweeting and sound blocking is top notch. Software awesome and easy to use and the case is a joy to use. The only issue that I had is that in the morning I felt some pain in my ear but that rectified by switching to smaller tips.
When my Bose buds broke down I was in panic mode! I can’t live without them. I’m a light side sleeper in a snoring environment. These are the only ones that work for me, but Bose stopped making them apparently. But now I use soundcore A10 (from Anker) unfortunately they take up a little more space, but they do the trick. I replaced the eartips with those of the Bose and they fit better now. For way less than 200 euros a reasonable alternative. You should test them too!
@@chrisr.6638i keep reading they last 7 hrs, depends on the mode. Music mode is 5-6hrs and sleep mode claims 9?hrs, i read the firmware needs to be up to date to get the most and 50-60%volume. But they also don’t have white noise in their sleep mode sounds, just soothing sounds like rain and lullabies, that was a bit disappointing to know
I've been using Bose sleepbuds since they first came out in 2018. They work great. Unfortunately they only last a year, 2 years max before completely die. As of 2024 Bose stopped selling them, so I'm stuck trying to find a suitable replacement.
My Bose still work but one of them i have to put back in the case and pull out again every time i want to use them. My Amazfit zenbuds completely died. There's a company that I heard of that was some people who worked for Bose that started. Supposedly its just like the Bose but better AND you can play your own music. Here's a link to their site ozlosleep.com/ I've also been interested in trying the (Anker) Soundcore Sleep A10. They also do noise masking as well as play your own music. I haven't tried them but I have regular Anker earbuds and I like them
with your favorite Zen buds that you cannot connect to the app if you hold your finger down on the app icon and go to the the information on the memory try clearing your cache and see if that resolves the problem I've had problems with other devices and that helped Good luck
I’ve had multiple replacements on the first gen sleep buds and I’m about to get my second replacement on the 2s. When they work, I absolutely love them. They still have some kinks to work out with the batteries. One bud will randomly go very quiet or stop working after several months. Unsure if it’s something I’m doing or an engineering issue , but literally all I do is charge and wear. Here’s hoping the third gen of sleep buds will be even better and they can fix these issues. Until then, I’ll just have to keep getting replacements every 8-9 months. They do an absolutely phenomenal job of noise reduction when they are working as they should, though. Also, the built in alarms are great. If I know Bose, they will only improve.
thanks for letting me know your experience! I haven't had any die on me yet but I've heard similar stories from multiple people about having to replace earbuds. But Bose has been really good about replacing them according to everyone, unlike Amazfit
Same here, one of my buds stopped working after 15 months (of which around 10 months of continuous use). It suddenly always showed the error lights when putting on the charging case and would never connect w the app. Fortunately they were replaced. Hopefully this doesn't mean that sleepbuds 2 only lasts less than a year of continuous usage.
@@KingLeonidas_300 I have had mine for 2 years and only recently has the right bud started acting a bit oddly. It won't begin in phone free mode and has to be manually enabled... Sometimes it works, but more miss than hit. They also say fully charged, but sometimes stop after 4 hours and have to be re-enabled. So annoying. They are sadly discontinued ... it's a shame because they are SO good for sleeping. I can't sleep without any more so if they stop working I don't know what to do Q_Q Can't get them any more.
i have a roommate that snores alot at nights, i can't decide between bose and quieton honestly, my parents want to buy me a pair for my coming soon birthday. Im sleeping while listening to ASMR or some ambiances, meditations you name it for over 5 years now because out noisy roommates and sometimes snoring ones. my newest flatmate at my dorms snores quite alot at night and turning an ambiance on to a high volume doesnt help much (turning the volume up to the point where it becomes too loud for me). i hear alot of good things about Bose's sleepbuds and as im writing this comment i think i will go for them, been seeing alot of comments/posts saying that the quieton are not particularly good at noise canceling, question is are they better than taking normal earbuds and sleep while listening to some ambiance? All i want is a pair of earbuds that i can sleep with without snoring driving me crazy. ;-;
I personally prefer the Bose over the quieton. Fortunately my girlfriend doesn't snore though so I don't really know in real world applications how it is for that.
Connect the Amazfit to your old phone and get the number off may be a way to get around the customer service issue and form details. Ask a friend with another phone to assist you with downloading the App and get the number. I agree it would be inconvenient however it will get your favourite buds back and stop being a paperweight. A lot of companies who are totally online now have a similar issue. My phone provider can only be reached through their App. If you don't have any connection working remotely then there is no way to communicate. It sucks.
When you say noise masking, do you mean that hou have to hear other noises to help you sleep? How can that be if also rain noise is not letting me sleep normally? So you cannot stay in total silence with Bose or Amazfit? I cannot sleep with any kind of noise. Trying to escape from noise I would not spend money to hear another noise 🤔
the noises help mask more of the outside sounds. I just keep the rain sound on my bose because that's something I'm used to while sleeping but it masks the bedroom noises like snoring, clock, air conditioner etc. if you want no sound you need the quiet on as they're noise cancelling but they're uncomfortable.
I had to return my quieton 3, there is no active noise canceling and it didnt work for me. It was very uncomfortable and it hurt my ears so bad I could not even sleep. Not blocking anything.
Same here, still could hear so much it was like overpriced foam plugs. Totally not like the active noise cancelling earbuds of Bose, but they are too big. It's also used for music and make calls while outdoors. If they can use that technology in those Bose sleepbuds that would be just perfect for me 🙂👍🏻
@@NickBorsellino I did notice the ANC technology of the quieton 3 though, but wasn't that powerful to do the job for me. Did you really return them? I thought that they gave you the Quieton 3 for free? Hey that rimes 😄 or do you mean the previous quieton 2 version? Yes I saw your review on them too and they were horrible because they were too big and too uncomfertable to wear. Lol just gets through my mind right now about Russia, ukrain, USA, NAVO and I'm here nagging about the quietons 🙃😉
@@AngelinaKonetika yeah the original quietons i had returned. They gave me the quieton 3 and they are much more comfortable than the originals. I can actually wear them to sleep. I just find it super weird to have it that quiet and it makes it harder to sleep.
Ive had my sleep buds 2 for a year. Since then I’ve had to replace 3 of the buds because they stopped working. Customer service from Bose was good, but waiting for an exchange takes 2 weeks, as they don’t ship new ones until they inspect the old one.
I’ve also had multiple replacements. Ask for an “advance replacement”. They have to get a supervisor to sign off on it, but that way you can keep using your semi-working pair until you get the new ones. Source: personal experience
Thanks for the video mate, nice to have all this information in one place and it's really well put together. Also, wanted to say that you come across as a genuinely really nice dude and it was enjoyable to listen to your thoughts. Cheers!
@@NickBorsellino Oh? Amazfit is unavailable everywhere and seems to be discontinued as well. Found genuine new ones for around €35 on AliExpress while waiting on your next review! 💕
Oh snap! No! I have never heard of them but I have soundcore earbuds that I use and I really like them. Looks like the Soundcore ones let you listen via bluetooth to almost anything! That's awesome because none of the other companies have that option, it's only the sounds they provide. Verrrrrry interesting! Thanks for letting me know I might have to check these out!
I have one ear canal that is small and even regular ear buds that have the interchangeable tip option of small/med./large don't stay in. Curious about the Bose but it doesn't say they fit extra small ear canals. Have you heard of the Bonamour brand? They have extra small ear buds. I'm curious if you've ever tried them and what you thought?
never heard of the bonamour. a lot of people suggest the soundcore a10 so might want to look into that too. your small ear canal might be an issue with any brand though cause theres hard plastic in the center of the flexible part
Great idea to compare all these products. As a person who sleeps with foam ear plugs more than 10 years now, I appreciate a lot your effort and I have a question for you. How efficient were these against dog barking? Have you tried it?
I'm glad you found this helpful! I don't really know about barking. I know that they aren't really designed for loud noises, mostly for snowing. I can say that it does lower outside noises but not eliminate. Hope that helps some. Thanks!
The bose sleepbuds 2 helps me sleep through neighbors loud dogs barking. It should be said though that I also had sound reducing windows installed. Their combined effect still makes me hear the barking but faint enough that it doesn't wake me up. If only by itself, the dogs barking would be reduced but probably still loud enough to potentially wake me up (unless I set the volume on the buds high which on the other hand would make it difficult to relax and fall asleep). Also depends on how loud the dog's barking is.
@@KingLeonidas_300 Hello! Thanks for your reply. I bet you are Greek judging by your photo. So am I. Something should be done with permanent dog barking in this country, as Cyprus does. Because honestly exchanging expensive products won't make a difference.
Nick, this was super helpful and useful. You have a natural authentic vibe. Keep doing what you're doing. This is coming from a guy who rarely if ever leaves comments for what that's worth :)
well the only one that I recommend to anyone anymore is the BOSE. I didn't like the quieton and the zenbuds died and there was no customer support to have them fixed so they are just a paperweight now. I've never had a tragus so I don't know what will or won't work with that. If you're interested I would just recommend from buying from a place that you can return them if you don't like them
I have had Bose Sleepbuds 2 loved them but they stooped connecting to app all off a sudden I have tired everything to get them to connect no avail .I don't really want to buy another pair as i have herd they have discontinued them know . Any ideas on what to do ?
What works best to cancel "silent low frequency noises" in my bedroom. I have a very low annoying noise in the bedroom and it's very low, so I can't block is by using earplugs. Any recommendation for such type for noise?
nope. The technology to be able to do that is too big to fit into something you can sleep with. Notice that earbuds for music are much much larger than these
Thank you very much as I have been considering the Bose and the Quieton. When you said you didn't use them all night. Did they fall out, or they were uncomfortable?
Every once in a while one falls out. Usually I wake up in the middle of the night and just take them out, not for a comfort reason, but by that point, everyone in my house is asleep so I don't need to block out the noise anymore :)
I describe the Bose sleepbuds sound masking effect as it the sound you want to hear as you choose to hear it as opposed to the sounds going on around about you Ie snoring ,wind, cars/busses/trains,dogs barking etc
I’m Surprised you found the QuietOn 3 much quieter than earplugs. I had them and didn’t notice much difference so i returned them. Now i have the Bose Sleepbuds an w I’m pretty happy with them
Brilliant review on these earplugs 🎉 I’ve been using QuietOn for 6 months & still struggle to get a comfortable fit! But when I do they are excellent at cutting out the VERY LOUD SNORING beside me! Saying that, the tips are tricky to get on & off. One tip actually tore when I tried to remove it - as shown & not using my nails. Pretty distressing considering the price. Customer service was excellent & replaced the same size tips quickly. Overall, solid 8/10 & blocks noise.
I've been using the Bose sleep buds II for 2 1/2 years. they're excellent and have Alleviated much of the stress and aggravation of my next door neighbor slamming his car door and sighed garage door at nightAlleviated much of the stress and aggravation of my next door neighbor slamming his car door and side garage door at night and early morning. the problem with them is, now that the right bud doesn't work anymore I cannot connect just the left bud. you must have both working to connect, either one of them. the right ear bud was always uncomfortable and took a few months to get acclimated to. I have noticed that you only get 2 MAYBE 3 nights worth of charge from the case.
Ugh! I was all set to buy the QuietOn 3 for the hubster, but if you can hear your own breathing, etc., how are they any different than cheap foam ear plugs?
Well they actually cancel the noise unlike earplugs. The cheap earplugs barely did anything at all and we're quite dissapointing in this simple test. Lots of people like them, they just aren't for me! They are great about returns though so if he doesn't like them you just pay return shipping and get a full refund
could you also add the moldable wax earplugs to the list? these are the ones i use now and when they are new they block most sound. wondered if the quiet on was better than this. You might have to replace the wax ones more frequently because then they start to not work as well but they are only about four dollars for a two month supply. my biggest concern is low frequency noise like from upstairs neighbors thumping on the floor. Wondering what works best for this?
This. I have been using Mack wax plugs for years and they’re are great at helping me fall asleep. However where they lack are the low frequency stuff like thumping and footsteps. I love how they almost create a type of white noise In my ears. However, I’m SO sensitive to noise while sleeping I’m thinking of upgrading as I still wake up to some noises throughout the night.
Are they effective for blocking noise like knocks on walls and door slamming from a neighbours? as I live in big building with lots apartment...need to sleep as i been having issues with sleeping due to noisy neighbour above me.
they all will help a little but nothing will block it out 100% unfortunately. The Bose and the QuietOn 3 both did a decent job of blocking out the outside noises from my simple tests.
There isn't one specifically called "fan" but there are a few noises that sound similar to a fan running. My personal favorite is warm static which is basically just white noise. Kinda sounds like a fan mixed with TV static but not as harsh as TV static. It's very soothing.
i haven't but i've been asked to try it by a bunch of people. i've been happy with the bose sleep buds 2 so i never bought the a10s. but the bose are discontinued and i'm worried about them dying. i don't use them very often, mostly in the winter when my sleep schedule is weird cause of plowing so maybe i'll check them out this winter!
I’m surprised that your foam plugs didn’t do much. I have foam plugs and they block out pretty much everything. I live next to a busy street, even at night and with foam plugs in I literally can’t hear a thing. I’ve tried wax plugs and music plugs and they don’t come close to the foam plugs.
Everyone is different. I have misophonia and there have been no foam plugs or wax plugs I've found that work to block out the sound that trigger me into fight or flight mode. Sleepbuds 2 are the only thing that have worked
@@NickBorsellinoperson hello Nick. Thank you so much for your efforts here. This is a passion of mine. I can vouch for the 3M foam earplugs which claim to reduce noise by 38db (they were the rated foam earplug in 2022). I sleep with a loud snorer, and even these don't cut the noise enough. Every year I look for new foam earplugs with a better decibel rating, so I can upgrade. I'm so frustrated, sleeping in a separate room until I can find something to beat the snoring. Help! What choice is there now? I wish the noise cancelling and masking devices would give a decibel reduction rating the way foam earplugs do. How can they be compared? I noticed the Quieton spec showed a graph where it reduces noise more than a foam earplug. But reading thes comments here and yours, I'm not sure it's true. I buy 200 3Ms 35€
Sleepbuds for sure. I originally got Zenbuds but had pairing issues and finally when paired one bud would drain completely with the other 1/2 depleted. I requested a replacement which I received. Same issue but switched. I'm done with them. I requested to return and get a refund. Response from Zepp was "looks like we got a bad batch". Ya think?!?! I went to my local Best Buy, gladly paid twice as much as the Zenbuds but you get the quality. Paired easily, updated, and swapped a few sounds that better fit my needs (tinnitus and snoring dog... LOL). You pay for quality!
Yeah after my issues with the zenbuds i've been using the bose for a couple months and i'm very happy with them. they just take a little getting used to
Appreciate the review sir. Got Bose. Your point about QUIETON 3 about hearing your own body makes a lot of sense. If not your video, I would probably go for QUIETON
I wish someone would make the point of focusing on the touch controls and sleep. My Air Pod Pro IIs are the only ear bud I can sleep with because they don’t effect sleeping on side with a pillow hitting the buttons. My Beats Fit pros will hit the pillow and stop playback OR shut off the noise canceling. I view the above☝🏼as important as ANY ear bud feature. What’s the point of having ear buds to sleep in, if they controls hit the pillow while sleeping and stop playback OR turn off NC?
i also had trouble connecting the zenbuds to the app for days before i decided to create a new account instead of logging in with the existing one. that allowed to connect the earplugs without any issues. perhaps give that a try. hope that helps
I didn't! I couldn't figure out a way to contact Amazfit. Really sucks because I recommended them to a lot of people until they broke. I've been using the BOSE ever since. The BOSE seems to block out more outside noise than the Amazfit did and I've gotten used to the little discomfort I experienced
For sleeping with barking dogs I recommend a sound noise machine. It blocks noise perfectly but stinks in blocking noisy stomping on purpose neighbors. I hope this helps!!!
That is going to be hard to block out. I think you'll have better luck with the bose because they do offer the noise masking so you can increase the volume a little to block out the noises. Just don't make it too loud or you'll end up damaging your hearing
nice. I hope you like them if you get them! If not remember they do tatke returns within a certain timeframe! I had the original version and didn't like them and got a full refund except i had to pay return shipping

Hey GP, do you sleep on the back the whole night? Or is there some trick for sidesleepers? I thought about pillows with a hole in the middle for the ear.
I bought the bose ones a few days ago, at first I think they feel comfortable, but to be honest during the night I need to take them out because they are pushing in me ear canal and it hurst. As a sidesleeper I'm thinking of switching them with the amazfit, since they seem smaller. But after reading all your reviews I'm not so sure anymore:P Tips anyone?
yeah, the Amazfit are a little more comfortable but unfortunately they stopped working for me and then Amazfit was completely unreacheable for support, so I can no longer recommend them
@@studiorikversteeg hey if that works then great! My ears are in-between sizes so one is too small and the next is too big. I think I went with the smaller of the two as well

SO IF QUIETON has an app to play audio it would be your perfect sleeping bud? i dont understand for $100 why didnt they add that feature. even amazfit is only bit less than $50
well then they would have to add a speaker and bluetooth. I'm honestly surprised Bose hasn't added ANC to their sleep buds. It's only a mattter of time I'm sure they will figure it out
QuietOn 3 for me then. I LOVE noise canceling. I want it to be SO QUIET as possible haha , almost any sound wakes me up. It is SO anoying :) My best solution so far is: So when i wanna sleep i put earplug on that can block 36dB, and then my "over the ears" B&O headset with active noise canceling on aswell. Luckely i sleep on the back so having a "over the ears" headset on doesn really bother me. IT block SO much sound, i sleeped throu the 2021 new years firework without barely hearing anything at all while sleeping. Some big "BOOM's" i did registrate, but it was more like a whisper. But now and then i do turn to my side, so currently iam using a round pillow which alows my headset to still be on haha. But if those QuietOn 3 works that well, might be my new solution :)
wow that's pretty impressive! You will probably like the quietons but i have a feeling over ear headphones would be able to block more sounds just be the design. I've never tried a pair though. Imagine using the quietons WITH over ears... perfect silence!!!
@@NickBorsellino Hehe, that would be crazy. However i hope i dont have to have over ears on. There is quite abit of sweet each morning around the ears and inside. They close very well. im at a dilema between bose slepbuds and quieton, the issue is that i read that bose had battery issues and stopped making the sleepbuds, and both devices dont have music so im at a dilema, any advice?
that was the original bose sleepbuds. they supposedly corrected that with version 2. You're right though neither play music. I think comfortbuds might do that or kokoon but i haven't tried them
So do none of these even play Bluetooth audio from your phone? I personally enjoy listening to pod casts/creepy pastas / music when I sleep. But it kind of looks like that's not possible since you didn't address audio quality
nope none of these ones do. You could try the Kokoon nightbuds. They are a completely different design in order to incorporate the technology needed to play your own music and much larger. I have not tested them out myself yet. Here's a link to their website uk.kokoon.io/products/nightbuds?region=uk&country_code=gb
I have the Bose and find them comfortable but I wish they had more sound options. there are only like two I can stand. I dont understand why they cant just play audio from my phone, why does it have to be Bose select sounds? they just give you like 15 second loopeed sounds and for someone like me that just causes me to fixate on the looped noises and cant sleep instead am focused on that
HAHA! I know exactly what you mean about the loop! I sometimes find myself fixating on the loop which makes it harder to sleep. I use warm static which doesn't have a loop sound at all just a constant humming. There's really only a couple that I've been able to use too.
I think the Bose Sleepbuds 2 are awesome, we have issues with neighbours dogs barking at 4 in the morning, thankfully now it seems to block them out completely.

Love how you reply to all! I had Bose sleep buds and after just a few uses the case and buds were ‘dead’. What a waste of money. Threw them out. 🤷🏻♀️ Great review though
Thanks I try to get back to everyone! I forgot to check my comments for the last month though so I apologize for the delay! Sorry to hear your sleepbuds broke! Mine still work and they are my go to when i need them, although I don't use them every night
My experience with connecting the Amazfit Zenbuds is that is a tough to get them to connect to a phone. It only works for me by putting them in the case, disconnecting the bluetooth of the phone for a couple of seconds and reconnect. Then get the buds out of the case. The buds will connect after that. Maybe you cab try it. I hope for you that helps.
I ended up returning mine for this reason. It was so annoying to get them to reconnect to my phone. I feel like, for the price, I shouldn't have to jump through hoops to get them to reconnect.
Great video. Good explanation about the quiet ons. Sometimes too quiet isn't great. I have the boss and I like then but I've yet to use them through the night where one hasn't been out of my ear by morning.
yeah, i usually wake up in the middle of the night and take them out. I need them more for falling asleep than the middle of the night. I do occasionally have one fall out too
I've been using QuietOn 3 for the last 3 years and they are really good! Took me a while to get used to them but ideal for just quietness! I didn't really want noise masking although I do have the Anker 20 they are very soft silicone but a little bit bulkier than QuietOn3. It's a shame they have discounted QuietOn although I think you can still get them from Healf. On another note I have the SonyXM5 over head earphones and they are phenomenal!!!
I returned my original QuietOn 1's and the return process was easy, I just had to pay for shipping, which was fine by me. I'm just happy they took them back cause they were expensive
I had the Bose Sleepbuds 2 for a year. However, there are some drawbacks. The battery life of the case is very short; it only lasts 3-4 days even when fully charged, and I don't understand why they didn't put a larger battery in the case. Also, it can be difficult to align the Sleepbuds properly with the charging points in the case.
yeah i leave my bose case plugged in all the time because the battery is so bad. I have one earbud that every time i take it out i have to put it back in the case and take it out again cause it doesn't register. And bose discontinued these altogether. I am guessing they had more problems than it was worth
Have you heard of a product called SoundOff? I haven’t tried it because I am worried about the customer support. There’s no phone number to call or a chat option ..
I have the Bose sleepbuds 2 and I am a side sleeper on the left side. I’ve gone thru 4 pairs within a year because the left one always stops working after 2-3 months. It gets extremely quiet. Tired of it. Any tips?
Have you contacted Bose to have them replace them under warranty? I wonder if this is a common issue? I've never had any problems with them but I don't use them every night
This is a common issue for one bud to stop working or be very quiet after a time. It’s nothing to do with you sleeping in your side or the pillow, as I’m a back sleeper. It’s just an engineering issue they need to solve. Call them for a replacement.
Anyone looking to buy the Bose ones(and I think all of them), THEY DO NO PLAY PHONE AUDIO. Yes 330$ CAD earbuds that do no play phone audio other than the app sounds which loop in a pretty obvious way. I could not believe this and returned them. I really wanted something to listen to asmr or use my own sounds that was comfortable for bedtime.
yeah, nobody (including myself) said you can play music on them. In fact, this is direct from Bose's website on the FAQ page "Can I listen to my own music or audiobooks with Sleepbuds™ II? No. They will not stream your own music, audiobooks, or podcasts. Instead, they play specially curated relaxation content to help you fall asleep and masking sounds to keep noises from disturbing sleep. In order to achieve a form factor small enough to be comfortable for sleeping, and accommodate a battery that can support sound playback for an entire night, we made the conscious design decision not to stream audio to Sleepbuds™. Instead, the sound files are stored on each of the earbuds and played back locally, dramatically extending the audio playback time achievable in this tiny form factor." There are different brands that I've heard of that you can play your own music, but in order to do that the technology is larger so the earbuds are bigger making them less comfortable for sleeping. I have not tried any of them but one that was mentioned many times to me was Kokoon Nightbuds so you might want to give them a shot. They have a thing that goes behind your head though so not true independent wireless earbuds which is why I never gave them a shot to begin with
@@NickBorsellino While I agree that it is written in FAQs, it is very deceiving. When's the last time you had to read an Iphone description to check if it can make calls, or a Honda webpage to check if it can drive? Bose is an audio equipment manufacturer that is selling an expensive piece of equipment that cannot play your audio.
I don’t get how Bose creating more noise can help with the existing noises. I guess my issue is the constant low frequencies from the condo building, which is probably a good thing for people that like white noises.
I think I did cover that in this video, The Bose and Quieton were the best at blocking out snoring. The foam earplugs basically did nothing and the Amazfit weren't very good at blocking snoring. :)
they don't do an amazing job of blocking outside noise. I don't have immediate neighbors though, just my family. I can still hear them close doors and stuff. I'm not sure anything will shut that out short of full ear covering noise cancelling headphones
yes i am a side sleeper and they are all comfortable for me. The quieton are the least comfortable of them for me personally though. it's not so much the side sleeping part, it's the foam eartips expanding in my ear canal it just adds a strange pressure that i find uncomfortable
@@adrianaivancikova992 I've used Mack's. Their noise cancelling level might not be higher than foam ones from my experience. But their fit and comfort is to me worth it. Foam earplugs always made my ear canals ache.
Throwing in a thumbs up for the Quieton 3 - I have that and the Amazfit, and the QuietOn 3 is a clear winner. Noise is what keeps me awake, so turning on the sound of the Bose and Amazfit is a great way to stay awake. I found with the Amazfit turned off - prior to the QuietOn's, they acted as pretty good passive sound deadening because they make a pretty tight seal (vs. a foam earplug). There's really nothing else on the market that is an active sound cancellation sleep bud, and total silence is what I'm looking for.
Well if total silence is what you want then the QuietOns are definitely for you! You are correct in that no other company that I know of offers noise cancelling sleep earbuds. Regular noise cancelling earbuds for music are much too big and you could never sleep on your side with them. Thanks for the comment
@@LadyVenomWay I’ve been sleeping with Bose quiet comfort 35 headphones on and listening to special Snore Blocking track from RUclips. It’s saved my life and my boyfriends 😂😂💕
Thanks for sharing your experience!
hy. How do sleepbuds block out tinnitus when tinnitus doesnt come from outside? thnx
I have to trie it, my tinnitus sucks.. Witch sound you listen ? The only downside i see its the Bose App withe there own sound.

Man I really like how you put the name of the buds you're talking about at the bottom. Makes it super easy to jump around if you're not interested in all 3 products. Great vid!
thanks!
Oh no! That really sucks that they wouldn't offer a refund! Were you past the return period?
There's another video stating the QuietOns work as great as foam ear plugs
Does anyone recommend QuietOn?
@@comuniunecuosho-campulbudi7611
No. They do like 0 difference for me
I have used the foam ear plugs for over 20 years. I worked in a very noisy areas at my job. My ears got accustomed to the feel of them. So I started wearing them at bed time, but like you i could hear myself breath and my heart beating and pillow noise. I then added a box fan for white noise and air circulation. That was the ticket. Ear plugs and a box fan or the window air conditioner.
yeah i have an air filter fan running in my bedroom 24/7/365. i can't sleep when it's quiet
I ended up trying the same thing and that has helped the most. Thanks for your response.
What air filter fan do you have?@@NickBorsellino
@@michellemunguia7853 it's just a honeywell tower air cleaner. not sure where I got it but I've had it a long time
Wow, that's such a great idea!
Sorry to hear about your bad experience but I'm glad you found a solution that works for you!!!
What type of bose headphones?
Sleep buds prob
right off the bat your smile gave me a wave of good energy
😃 gee whiz thanks! 😊
Felt all your pain, even the earwax built up version. Ordered immediately.
You should test them too!
oh cool! I have soundcore earbuds i use for music and stuff i didn't know they made sleep buds!
Do they last 8 hours?
@@chrisr.6638i keep reading they last 7 hrs, depends on the mode. Music mode is 5-6hrs and sleep mode claims 9?hrs, i read the firmware needs to be up to date to get the most and 50-60%volume. But they also don’t have white noise in their sleep mode sounds, just soothing sounds like rain and lullabies, that was a bit disappointing to know
Hey, just FYI, precious bose employees bought the patents and rights and are releasing Ozlo sleepbuds
Here's a link to their site ozlosleep.com/
I've also been interested in trying the (Anker) Soundcore Sleep A10.
Absolute quiet is what I need, thank you for your help
i have a roommate that snores alot at nights, i can't decide between bose and quieton honestly, my parents want to buy me a pair for my coming soon birthday.
Im sleeping while listening to ASMR or some ambiances, meditations you name it for over 5 years now because out noisy roommates and sometimes snoring ones. my newest flatmate at my dorms snores quite alot at night and turning an ambiance on to a high volume doesnt help much (turning the volume up to the point where it becomes too loud for me).
i hear alot of good things about Bose's sleepbuds and as im writing this comment i think i will go for them, been seeing alot of comments/posts saying that the quieton are not particularly good at noise canceling, question is are they better than taking normal earbuds and sleep while listening to some ambiance?
All i want is a pair of earbuds that i can sleep with without snoring driving me crazy. ;-;
It sucks.
for ME absolute silence is a life long dream I've never got anywhere near.. if they do that then I'm getting them..
Great video! So do you mind if I ask what earbuds you are using to this day?
The Bose Sleepbuds 2, which I recently learned have been discontinued :(
Which one is the best to use in a noisy factory and still can hear peoples voices but to shut down the machine noises?
When you say noise masking, do you mean that hou have to hear other noises to help you sleep? How can that be if also rain noise is not letting me sleep normally? So you cannot stay in total silence with Bose or Amazfit? I cannot sleep with any kind of noise. Trying to escape from noise I would not spend money to hear another noise 🤔
then you want the quieton, they are noise cancelling. or you can buy the bose and just not turn the sounds on.
the noises help mask more of the outside sounds. I just keep the rain sound on my bose because that's something I'm used to while sleeping but it masks the bedroom noises like snoring, clock, air conditioner etc. if you want no sound you need the quiet on as they're noise cancelling but they're uncomfortable.
It could be that white noise could make you fall asleep. I fall asleep from it while any rain sound keeps me awake
If they can use that technology in those Bose sleepbuds that would be just perfect for me 🙂👍🏻
Yeah if you found the quieon 3 uncomfortable you should have tried the originals!!! I had to return them because they were sooooo bad!
@@NickBorsellino I did notice the ANC technology of the quieton 3 though, but wasn't that powerful to do the job for me. Did you really return them? I thought that they gave you the Quieton 3 for free? Hey that rimes 😄 or do you mean the previous quieton 2 version? @@AngelinaKonetika yeah the original quietons i had returned. They gave me the quieton 3 and they are much more comfortable than the originals. I can actually wear them to sleep. I just find it super weird to have it that quiet and it makes it harder to sleep.
Ive had my sleep buds 2 for a year. Since then I’ve had to replace 3 of the buds because they stopped working. Customer service from Bose was good, but waiting for an exchange takes 2 weeks, as they don’t ship new ones until they inspect the old one.
well that sucks that they keep breaking but great that Bose is at least replacing them! I haven't had any issues with mine
I’ve also had multiple replacements. Ask for an “advance replacement”. They have to get a supervisor to sign off on it, but that way you can keep using your semi-working pair until you get the new ones. Source: personal experience

What works best to cancel "silent low frequency noises" in my bedroom.
I have a very low annoying noise in the bedroom and it's very low, so I can't block is by using earplugs.
Any recommendation for such type for noise?
hmmm well I can say my dog snores and it's a pretty low frequency and the bose sleepbuds do an amazing job of blocking it out
Hello, Tell me please is any of this earphones can play music from phone? Not sleeping sounds but music.
I describe the Bose sleepbuds sound masking effect as it the sound you want to hear as you choose to hear it as opposed to the sounds going on around about you Ie snoring ,wind, cars/busses/trains,dogs barking etc
good way to describe it!

@@slick-riq sadly for me that still wasn’t better than earplugs…
Brilliant review on these earplugs 🎉 I’ve been using QuietOn for 6 months & still struggle to get a comfortable fit! But when I do they are excellent at cutting out the VERY LOUD SNORING beside me! Saying that, the tips are tricky to get on & off. One tip actually tore when I tried to remove it - as shown & not using my nails. Pretty distressing considering the price. Customer service was excellent & replaced the same size tips quickly.
Overall, solid 8/10 & blocks noise.
I bought the QuietOn 3.1 and they don't block much. as good as a supermarket foam ear plugs for 1$.

I have noticed that you only get 2 MAYBE 3 nights worth of charge from the case.
Ugh! I was all set to buy the QuietOn 3 for the hubster, but if you can hear your own breathing, etc., how are they any different than cheap foam ear plugs?

could you also add the moldable wax earplugs to the list? these are the ones i use now and when they are new they block most sound. wondered if the quiet on was better than this. You might have to replace the wax ones more frequently because then they start to not work as well but they are only about four dollars for a two month supply. my biggest concern is low frequency noise like from upstairs neighbors thumping on the floor. Wondering what works best for this?
very interesting! I'll have to look into them! I haven't heard of moldable wax earplugs!

On the Bose ones, where you were talking about the noises,… I was wondering if it has a fan noise?
There isn't one specifically called "fan" but there are a few noises that sound similar to a fan running. My personal favorite is warm static which is basically just white noise. Kinda sounds like a fan mixed with TV static but not as harsh as TV static. It's very soothing.
I looked through your videos but was surprised that I didn't find a review for soundcore A10 sleep buds. Have you try it?

are they any kind of special plugs? sounds intriguing!
Am I crazy to ask ….these are normal ear buds to right? Like u.can play music and stuff 2
Nevermind u cannot use them for ear buds omg
Nope no music. They would be twice as big and then you couldn't sleep on your side
Awesome! Thanks for the feedback! I hope you like them... I really enjoy my sleepbuds!
Have you tried the comfobuds mini? They are really small and have ANC
no i havent! 😳
I have the bose and to me it fits good. i can't tell it is even there
nice. that's the one that is my favorite and i still use
None of these have touch controls, that's why I didn't talk about them...
i also had trouble connecting the zenbuds to the app for days before i decided to create a new account instead of logging in with the existing one. that allowed to connect the earplugs without any issues. perhaps give that a try. hope that helps
THANKS! I will!!!
Do the amazebuds have a sound that’s noise cancelling (no sound)?
no they don't. without the noises they don't do a ton
Hey, Nick! Not sure if you’ll see this, but just curious: did you get the Amazfit situation handled?
I didn't! I couldn't figure out a way to contact Amazfit. Really sucks because I recommended them to a lot of people until they broke. I've been using the BOSE ever since. The BOSE seems to block out more outside noise than the Amazfit did and I've gotten used to the little discomfort I experienced
Great video. Can anyone recommend by their experience a side sleeping earbuds for barking dogs ? Any help or direction appreciated
Thanks bro, I been seriously looking into the quiet on
nice. I hope you like them if you get them! If not remember they do tatke returns within a certain timeframe! I had the original version and didn't like them and got a full refund except i had to pay return shipping
@@NickBorsellino I appreciated your honesty + that you weren’t giving a positive review because they were paying you to but that you purchased them yourself + gave an unbiased opinion. I would LOVE to have a pair of the quieton’s but they are so expensive + it will take a while to save that’s for sure. Have a lovely day.
Thank you for the detailed longer-use-review/comparison! I could imagine most people would not have noticed/mentioned the lights on the case e.g. so thank you!
it's the little things ;)
Oh, I would totally notice.
I’ve been using Sleep buds since it exist.. the 1st Version then the Sleep buds II.. they are amazing true i sleep like a baby HOWEVER after 1 year.. the battery is already failing.. one of the ear buds simply stops working in the middle of night.. i hope Bose will do either a refund or a discount ☹️
very interesting. i havent had any battery issues with mine yet
Hey GP, do you sleep on the back the whole night? Or is there some trick for sidesleepers? I thought about pillows with a hole in the middle for the ear.
Same with mine. 11 months in the left ear bud stopped working
I bought the bose ones a few days ago, at first I think they feel comfortable, but to be honest during the night I need to take them out because they are pushing in me ear canal and it hurst. As a sidesleeper I'm thinking of switching them with the amazfit, since they seem smaller. But after reading all your reviews I'm not so sure anymore:P Tips anyone?
yeah, the Amazfit are a little more comfortable but unfortunately they stopped working for me and then Amazfit was completely unreacheable for support, so I can no longer recommend them
I know use the smallest size, it’s not how they supposed to be placed but they don’t hurt anymore and actually stay in place well!
@@studiorikversteeg hey if that works then great! My ears are in-between sizes so one is too small and the next is too big. I think I went with the smaller of the two as well
O am sad that Bose speepbuds is discontinued. it is still being sold at bestbuy but bose is not making new ones
that's super lame! They are so good! Maybe they are making a version 3?
@@NickBorsellino apparently bose has said they're stepping out of the sleep tech market. I'm devastated because the SB2 are the only thing that have given me peace of sleep... :(
I found out today and my best buy don't even sell them anymore😭
SO IF QUIETON has an app to play audio it would be your perfect sleeping bud? i dont understand for $100 why didnt they add that feature. even amazfit is only bit less than $50
well then they would have to add a speaker and bluetooth. I'm honestly surprised Bose hasn't added ANC to their sleep buds. It's only a mattter of time I'm sure they will figure it out
QuietOn 3 for me then. I LOVE noise canceling. I want it to be SO QUIET as possible haha , almost any sound wakes me up. It is SO anoying :)
My best solution so far is: So when i wanna sleep i put earplug on that can block 36dB, and then my "over the ears" B&O headset with active noise canceling on aswell.
Soft real skin and light weight, i have hade a them on +10 hour many times without feeling discomfort. The earplug anoy's me more often at times :)
But I have to try that out surely ! Have enough to buy dobbel package next month. I want a extra pair incase i forget charging or something.
What’s the brand and model of the earplugs you use ? What about the headphones ?
I'm the same way, did you end up liking the quiet on 3 if you don't mind me asking?
Did you buy the Quieton after all or not? How are they for you, do you recommend?
Have you tried the new soundcore Sleep a20? Try to compare these you're comparing the quiet on the bose with the a20
im at a dilema between bose slepbuds and quieton, the issue is that i read that bose had battery issues and stopped making the sleepbuds, and both devices dont have music so im at a dilema, any advice?
that was the original bose sleepbuds. they supposedly corrected that with version 2. You're right though neither play music. I think comfortbuds might do that or kokoon but i haven't tried them
Would've been interesting to see the Kokoon Sleepbuds in this comparison
Yeah i reached out to kokoon twice and got no response. I might buy them in the future but i'm satisfied with my bose for now
So do none of these even play Bluetooth audio from your phone? I personally enjoy listening to pod casts/creepy pastas / music when I sleep. But it kind of looks like that's not possible since you didn't address audio quality
nope none of these ones do. You could try the Kokoon nightbuds. They are a completely different design in order to incorporate the technology needed to play your own music and much larger. I have not tested them out myself yet. Here's a link to their website
uk.kokoon.io/products/nightbuds?region=uk&country_code=gb
Try the warm static one. There’s no perceptible loop in that one and I find it very effective for falling and staying asleep.
I got the bose buds for $150 CAD on eBay a year ago. They're amazing
I think the Bose Sleepbuds 2 are awesome, we have issues with neighbours dogs barking at 4 in the morning, thankfully now it seems to block them out completely.
that's awesome to hear!!!
Hey Polyverse, After several; months of use, do the Bose 2 still block out the noise of the barking dogs? Please let me know. Thanks.
@@johnburns1776 Sure do!
@@zootube75 Thanks for the reply. I have a neighbor with 3 dogs, and one of them barks all the time. It is hard to sleep. Thanks for the info. I am definitely going to get the Bose 2. Thanks again.
@@johnburns1776 i hope they work as well for you as they do for me! Good luck!
I tried Bose sleep buds 2 but unfortunately I can’t fall asleep with them. Now I think to try zepp buds but after I saw video I don’t know what to do…
dang sorry to hear the bose don't work for you. I loved the zenbuds until they stopped working!
@@NickBorsellino I want to try zepp buds but I am not sure they help me with my noisy neighbours.
And I worry about problem with zepp buds.
Thx mate... really helpful!!!
I just ordered Quieton 3... hope it will do.the job
awesome! Happy sleeping!!!
And? How are the Quietons? if you don't mind me asking.
@@lenca6742 hmmmm... is just ok, do a little bit better job than normal foam.. side lying i could feel it is a bit annoying, is more noise cancelling then regular foams... if i sleep on my back is ok i barely feel them ...on side lying is not good
this was really helpful. glad i poked around your channel and stumbled on the overall review.
awesome! thanks for letting me know this was helpful!!!
Love how you reply to all!
I had Bose sleep buds and after just a few uses the case and buds were ‘dead’. What a waste of money. Threw them out. 🤷🏻♀️
Great review though
Thanks I try to get back to everyone! I forgot to check my comments for the last month though so I apologize for the delay! Sorry to hear your sleepbuds broke! Mine still work and they are my go to when i need them, although I don't use them every night
My experience with connecting the Amazfit Zenbuds is that is a tough to get them to connect to a phone. It only works for me by putting them in the case, disconnecting the bluetooth of the phone for a couple of seconds and reconnect. Then get the buds out of the case. The buds will connect after that. Maybe you cab try it. I hope for you that helps.
yeah i think i tried everything but i will try again! thank you!
I ended up returning mine for this reason. It was so annoying to get them to reconnect to my phone. I feel like, for the price, I shouldn't have to jump through hoops to get them to reconnect.
The QuiteOn 3 didn’t work at all for me. It’s uncomfortable and barely canceled any noise out.
I've heard people say that. It definitely cut noise out for me. Too much noise actually...
Thank you! I brought the QuietOn and I can still hear my partner snoring! I think I will send them back and get the Bose. Great review
I returned my original QuietOn 1's and the return process was easy, I just had to pay for shipping, which was fine by me. I'm just happy they took them back cause they were expensive
or another option is you can return your partner and get a new one. :D
@@Spankyy811 hahaha 🤣
@@NickBorsellino sometimes you dont get your money back when you send them back?
Helpful video. Thanks.
Have you heard of a product called SoundOff? I haven’t tried it because I am worried about the customer support. There’s no phone number to call or a chat option ..
Never heard of it!
Really great review, really honest points around usability as opposed to just features and design. Thanks
Thanks! Hopefully it helped point you in a direction 😊
Actually I’m looking for some reviews about quiet on 3 thanks for the comparison
You're welcome! I think I did a video on that all by itself too. I wasn't a fan of the noise cancelling but I know a lot of people really like it!
I have the Bose sleepbuds 2 and I am a side sleeper on the left side. I’ve gone thru 4 pairs within a year because the left one always stops working after 2-3 months. It gets extremely quiet. Tired of it. Any tips?
Maybe to use softer pillow...I love goose down pillows
@@deasoulwhsp I need to have memory foam. This shouldn’t happen IMO.
In fact, this is direct from Bose's website on the FAQ page
"Can I listen to my own music or audiobooks with Sleepbuds™ II?
Instead, the sound files are stored on each of the earbuds and played back locally, dramatically extending the audio playback time achievable in this tiny form factor."
There are different brands that I've heard of that you can play your own music, but in order to do that the technology is larger so the earbuds are bigger making them less comfortable for sleeping.
I guess my issue is the constant low frequencies from the condo building, which is probably a good thing for people that like white noises.
yeah i need white noise. I run an air cleaner year round mainly for the noise. I can't sleep when it is too quiet
The warm static one is very good for lower frequency noises.
@@NickBorsellino Filtered Brown Noise may work well for you too. Plenty on RUclips. Try this one.ruclips.net/video/aEJtvL9TZ4c/видео.html
Very good video.
I hope you can make a video specially for snore blocking test.
Because my roommate got crazy snoring sound… 🚀🚀🚀
I think I did cover that in this video, The Bose and Quieton were the best at blocking out snoring. The foam earplugs basically did nothing and the Amazfit weren't very good at blocking snoring. :)
Helpful video. I am about to try the Kokoon airbuds. If these don't work I'll look at the QuietOn3 as the sounds in the apps drive me nuts...
awesome. the kokoons are one i've been wanting to try and had a lot of people request
if without earbuds you hear neighbours 100 % - how much do "quiet on" earbuds block the neighbours noise ? thnx.
they don't do an amazing job of blocking outside noise. I don't have immediate neighbors though, just my family. I can still hear them close doors and stuff. I'm not sure anything will shut that out short of full ear covering noise cancelling headphones
thank you for a thorough comparison!
If you've tried sleeping on the side with them, did you find it comfortable? especially the QuietOn 3
yes i am a side sleeper and they are all comfortable for me. The quieton are the least comfortable of them for me personally though. it's not so much the side sleeping part, it's the foam eartips expanding in my ear canal it just adds a strange pressure that i find uncomfortable

Mouldable silicone putty earplugs for the win 😃! Just be careful when taking them out and breaking the seal.
what brand do you use? I just got some from amazon and they work no better than foam ones
@@adrianaivancikova992 I've used Mack's. Their noise cancelling level might not be higher than foam ones from my experience. But their fit and comfort is to me worth it. Foam earplugs always made my ear canals ache.
Which brand?
@@comuniunecuosho-campulbudi7611 Idk if brand really matters. Mack's are quite common I think :).
Great comparative review!
Do the quiet ons get rid of the snoring noises from a partner? Or can you still head noises ?
