It kinda sucks that till this very day, iOS/iPhones don't have a data limit, and warning feature that has been available on android for ages. Not everyone has unlimited data plans, it would be nice if apple could add this feature. Especially if you live in a country where data caps are more common than unlimited data plans like AHEM CANADA'S EXPENSIVE CELL PHONE PLANS.
I found this while trying to figure out a way to find the culprit app for my sons iPhone. Having a summary for each month and app is such a basic and trivial feature and has been on Android since I can remember. Meanwhile, on iPhone the user has to calculate dates and average themselves, and remember to manually reset to even have a guesstimate of how much an app has used. Just wow.
I would love an app that shows an icon live in the top task bar to display 'current data usage', just like you can see your car fuel gauge go down, or your home electricity meter counting up the units! Data is so expensive in the UK, yet difficult to monitor...
in my iPhone 12 Pro Max can't see "Current Period" on Cellular tab. I have iOS 16.1 installed and 2 cellular plans installed in the same phone, any idea?
My iphone isn't showing me my curent data period, I have unlimited but I would still like to know, i'm thinking about getting a 200gb 5G $20 a month plan.
And the tip for IPhone users work only for AT&T and AT&T Prepaid customers, since they are the only ones that have a 30-day period for their plans. Only four months - April, June, September and November - have 30 days. February never does have 30 days (28 in common years and 29 in leap) and the rest have 31 days. So Verizon, Verizon Prepaid, T-Mobile and T-Mobile Prepaid users on IPhone will not have an accurate reading of how much data they’re using unless they remember to reset their stats every time their plan starts anew.
Are you a T-Mobile customer? T-Mobile shows actual monthly usage, so your settings page may look a little different. You’ll want to use the T-Mobile app to see your usage each month and for historic months.
@@StetsonDoggettI have T-Mobile too and my settings in cellular data also looked a bit different? I didn’t know settings could look different based on the carrier?
Apple loves to be ambiguous about things though. That’s what sets them apart from the rest. But I do have to agree with you. My old Galaxy s10lite was more user friendly than my iPhone 11
thank you for this, i freaked out because apple said ive used ONE TERABYTE of data for this period and i didnt want to cause my parents a giant bill even though idk how i would’ve even used that much… and then i scrolled down and it said the period hasnt reset since 2019😭

I agree completely!
Sorry to say, I iPhone is not targeting customers like you
It would cost them billions of dollars if the added that feature, hence they don't.
Its just iphones logic, to show useless information...@@marcmarc1967
@@marcmarc1967It would cost them literally nothing

Stetson you’re the best! Thanks for all the info! Your videos are so helpful.
So on iPhone, is it ideal to reset it every month to help you keep track on what you’ve used?
Thank you for this tutorial and the website. I found it useful and super helpful! You rock!
on iphone is it the same to go to cellular data since that’s data on ur phone or is it the same as wi-fi
thats actually kinda useful thanks
What is the current latest android version? Also is the Moto Edge Plus for 600 worth it?
Damn lol thank god for my att plan jesus. I didn’t know I was using 350 gbs a month on average 🤣
Wow
Dude how is that possible

How can i find wifi data usage on iphone?

Are you on T-Mobile? T-Mobile does something differently, so you'd need to check your usage history on the T-Mobile app or website.
@@StetsonDoggett yeap, you're right, I am on T-MoUS on the Trial Network Pass for 3 months, eSIM, testing network.
What does the current period roaming mean

Donno if iPhone 14 pro-Max has changed something in UI, but I could find the "Last Reset" section in the cellular section of settings.

thanks, very usefull video
Why do you make reference to things that don't exist?
Wait what the days mean?
All I wanted was to find out how much I have! Not how much I use. Why would I ever care about that.
1:28 --2:06 Has the answer.
I don't have to worry about that I have unlimited data on Cricket Wireless
I have a IPhone 13 pro but honestly android version are more efficient ❤❤

What if it says that my last reset was on 2016?!
Yes , I looked and mine was 2014!
wifi usage on iPhone?
81 gigs a month 😭
IPhone is easily the worst thing. Here's a number that no one in the world cares of your data usage.
Mines 1.4 tb idk if thats too much
Damn yeah
That's a lot of data!
Bro the whole school can use that data
Mine is 77.6gbs per month
That was annoying for iphone
