Just as a fan, I feel terribly sad for the CYE cast, crew and all involved. Last night after I heard the news, I watched clips of a Paley Center talk the cast including Richard did some 10 years ago, and he and everyone were in such great spirits. The chemistry and closeness was so evident, and really beautiful to watch. Bob was there too. I recommend anyone reading this to look up clips on RUclips and savour in remembrance. Love from Dublin, Ireland x
I’ve watched that interview so many times. Love it. Not to mention another Curb interview on RUclips hosted by Brian Williams.
These guys have felt like family to me these past twenty years and not in a bad way I have to add. That's why hearing the news about Richard Lewis was so devastating. This last series is so great but then when has Curb ever failed to do that. Hands down, the greatest show ever. Thoughts out to all the cast and crew that have given so much to us all. R.I.P Richard Lewis

As an improvisor and tiny player in the industry, it's such a delight to hear not only stories about people I personally know, but learn about other greats I should look into. I'm so lucky to have come across this podcast.

Richard will be sorely missed. He was an enigma. I happen to be rewatching Curb before his podcast and am one episode ahead. Works out great and like to hear the behind the scenes of the episode I freshly watched.

It's crazy. I binged watched all of Curb last year and this episode feels so recent to me that I'm having trouble believing it was just the 5th episode.

i started curb this month for the first time ever . of course i find out richard lewis passed away last month and this is the last season. just my luck 🥺🤦🏻♀️ it’s an incredible show. i love larry david. i loved richard lewis, he was a favorite in my house growing up. we’re all getting old now. fuckin a.
I’m so sorry for your loss. I find it really hard to accept. I’m reading all the tributes to Richard and it seems like he was the kindest man.
I love this, love this. My only wish is that sometimes it feels like Ms. Essman has copious, prepared notes and she’s trying to get through everything and touch on all her points but in that process I feel as if they’re not stopping to explore all the wonderful tangents and gems that get brought up spontaneously and I wish they would just go with the moment and spend those extra few minutes on whatever the tangential topic is. Really riff with each other. Other than that - a really great show. Love oral histories like this with the actual players.

It seems that he does. Several years ago, he had a solo podcast entitled By the Way.
They say the Asian accent thing wouldn't fly today, but the character of Mr. Takahashi is the exact same thing. He's a Chinese-American playing a guy with an over-the-top Japanese accent.
