As a Chiefs fan for 50 years, I would love to listen to Harlan call the game on the radio. In the '80s before the Chiefs were decent, they never sold enough tickets to get the blackout lifted so all you got was the radio call if you did not go to the stadium. Harlan was able to describe the setting in such vivid detail that I still remember it 35 years later. He would comment about the uniforms of each team with detailed color descriptions and trims, the wind direction, how the sun would or would not be shining on the field, the mood of the fans, etc. He would describe the Raiders like they were all recently released from prison. It was great. He does tone it down now for TV compared to radio and does not get near as excited when he calls radio for NFL games as he did when he did those Chiefs games in the Mid '80s, but he is still great to listen to.
