    Around 15 years ago a friend of mine (White) was working on a crew repairing gas lines for So Cal Gas in Compton. I asked him is it crazy down there and he said no. He told me twice that week an older black woman had made sun tea and home made cookies and invited his crew to sit on her porch in the shade. Just wanted to put something positive out here.

      i am from poland, over summertime worked with 2 friend in the us in jersey city.
      Once in 7-11 one black man wanted to gut before us in the queue. Started offending me and friends so beat him up.
      On the next day, we wanted to get some meal in 7--11 again. There were a few black men already waiting for us with baseball bats. So we had to run.
      After few yard we checked behind us, there was only 1 chasing us yet. So we got back, beat him up.
      This way I got in the possesion of basebal bat which is my souvenir from the US.
      Thx jersey city.

      Sorry, but how do you suppose? That Cashmere guy clearly hitched up with his former mother-in-law, something very disrespectful to his ex-wife; at 24:50, that Samoan-lady-kisses-him DESPITE being married. I'm starting to think Pacific Islanders just come here so that their women can get with the brothers, same with the Latinas. Like Cashmere is no longer with her daughter (his friend even said so), but she-still-KISSED him at 24:50 when she doesn't-even-kiss-her-own-husband

      @JarJar I realize I didn't get my point out there very good. I'm saying if you took my small farm town and a rough urban area like this and asked which one had a tighter knit community that looks out for each other in my opinion I'd assume it's the small town but it's really not. I've never experienced anything like what they have where everyone not only knows everyone but looks out for each other and hangs out. Most of the people in my town will call the cops on you over anything. As a kid if I was out skateboarding and trying to get exercise instead of staying in and doing drugs like a lot of kids I'd still get "good Samaritans" that would call the cops and follow me around and watch me and accuse me of breaking people's stuff. Later in life my neighbor had my place raided cus he smelled weed even though his place smelled like piss and later he called em cus my music was too loud. In my town it's pretty much stay inside and keep it down cus if you bother anyone over 35 you're going to get a visit from law enforcement. Maybe it's safer overall but you feel very socially isolated and the only reason people care to acknowledge you're existence is if they're surveiling you like you're some kind of criminal. It's really sad.

Got helped by 2 random respectful black dudes and a Mexican in Compton , sure i had a friend with me but still i felt like i was at Home in my town in Kuwait like seriously no BS straight-up good decent people.... Just shows how Media is BS compared to Real stuff and incidents.... That's some Real respect tho i was blown away even tho i wasn't invited i was totally struck by a flat tire in Compton LA.
    At the end of it , i ended up just hooking up the great dudes who helped me out straight up for dinner all on me and my buddy... I think your problem, or perhaps a good thing, is not leaving your home: A Doordash lady driver, making a delivery to make some cash so she could support her husband and children, was shot and killed: Her fault-she pulled over her breaking car on side of the road at night in a "wrong neighborhood." Another lady Uber Driver was killed in another "wrong place" in another state. And these are just recently in the past few weeks, not counting many other app workers. These folks here are drinking alcohol, smoking weed on street in front of a camera and I am supposed to be impressed? I have seen many off the boat Africans, and met some, half even Muslims, who do not like African Americans because they feel these like dudes here are scourge and shame on Black people. *Their values are superb two universe apart.* They are trying to do something with their lives against all odds. What have our multi-generation African Brothers have done to better their lives in, supposedly, one of the greatest countries! Again, not bashing anybody,, many are awesome I have met, but prevalence of certain cultural mindset be known

    • @mzaher
      @mzaher 2 года назад +3

      @@mysteriousjz what you are describing here is typical in every society where there are disadvantaged people. With poverty comes poor behaviour usually and crime. African Americans have been disadvantaged in so many different ways for hundreds of years, and if you are born in that circle it's so hard to exit the cycle. judgement becomes clouded. The example you gave of other immigrants is different because many of them escaped a drastically worse situation, and when they come into the US they feel they are born again. Many African Americans are born in disadvantaged communities with a lot of challenges, believing everything is against them (which is true to a certain extent). Changing this mindset needs work from the inside and the outside. The outside needs to believe that those are fellow humans and that amongst them are good and bad like everyone else, and should believe that there is a duty to get closer to them and help them out of their cycle of failure. that's what Peter is trying to do. to open our eyes that it's NOT all bad. only when we get to know others we can feel comfortable helping them stand for their rights and struggle. You can't be scared looking at an African American, you should feel strength and determination to pull them out with manners and trust and good attitude. but this also requires work on the inside from them.

    • @mysteriousjz
      @mysteriousjz 2 года назад

      @@mzaher @mz You basically read my mind for the most part. I must add, in my daily business with unique customers, some of the best I have met are African Americans and Latinos. And I mean it, and I tell the tale to everybody whenever I can. Racism, by its core definition is evil. I rebuke those who come out and have bad things to say or refuse to serve those certain neighborhoods. That's wrong, painting everyone with the same brush. I STAND SHOULDER TO SHOULDER, and I stand by and with them and others against any INJUSTICE in whatever shape or form, wherever it arises. I am the "outside" and feel for it and do my part as best I can. Speaking of "inside," and injustice, an Uber Driver in my city was shot in the head last summer. His fault-serving the community for little bucks, but in the "wrong place." Tough questions need to be asked, perhaps for better tomorrow. Peter never asks those questions, perhaps for his bottomline, or perhaps even for his own safety. But, I have never received response to my question. So, I ask- why did they have to die those nights and so brutally?

Even after having good experience with the people, you still end your comment by saying they were nice because you were caring for them. Why not just acknowledge your positive experience and not throw in your negative stereotype? It only shows the kind of person you are, a bad human.
