EFRT Season 2•Episode 12/// In this week’s episode of The Epic Family Road Trip, we begin Season 2 of our recap series!
In this episode, we head to Oklahoma to bring our stock Jeep JKU to
Exploration Outfitters to get it kitted out for full-time overland travel. The next big adventure we were preparing for was an expedition to New Zealand, exploring both islands for nearly half a year with only our Jeep.

Great to see your 'Chapter 1'. Been watching your adventures for some time now, but to see the early stages, what you sacrificed, the Jeep experience and the new way of life, is so inspirational. My black 2 door JK manual, has (for many years) and still is, a great 'way of life' to my family here in the UK.

How are you liking the Gladiator in comparison with your JL?
Off-Road Recon my JL was a 2.2 diesel, now I have the 3.6 pentastar motor. I will put a sort of CNG installation in it. Here in Europe you can buy it everywhere and its 1/3 the price of petrol. The petrol is like $ 2 dollar a liter!!! The Gladiator is more capable to having more weight in the truck. In The Netherlands the JL as a truck is only a 2 seater, the Gladiator is as a truck as a 5-seater, so that is much better. The JL costs in The Netherlands $ 130.000 dollar (5 person), As a truck $ 70.000 dollar (2 person), the Gladiator will be as a truck around $ 80.000 dollar. Best regards. 🇳🇱❤️🇺🇸😀

Where did you get the spare tire fuel storage container.
Are you guys gonna do different tires? Rocky trails will be very rough on those rims and tires.

byron brasher - We always order health insurance through our travel agent but it’s always expensive. Wouldn’t leave home without it. Wish I had a good solution for you.
