Such a great adventure over-landing is for a young family. For us older folks, the Winnebago is more than enough excitement. But for young active families, this is the adventure of a lifetime. So nice when you meet up with others to enjoy the fun together!
THANK YOU!!!! You are the fourth overlanding gear video I have tried to watch tonight. I could not finish the others--Too slow, too many words, bad pace and just not interesting. I got 10 minutes into YOUR video and had to stop the video to write THANK YOU!! This video is perfect--Perfect pace and covering a lot of products. Very good job!
Super excited for the 3 to be working with Clay. His team is brilliant. But I also think the 3 will bring so much value to Clay's team. They have a very different perspective having grown up in with the nomadic experience full time.
So very well organized. A place for everything and everything in its place. Each thing is well thought out. Five people living in two jeeps must require the next level of organization for a smooth running operation, minus stress. Love the shower! Depending on the weather, you can need a shower a day.
I’m not being rude- but I’ve always been curious about two things. 1. What is your primary source of income? I’m assuming military pension (but you know what they say about assumptions). 2. Do you guys still own a home.? I’ve heard you say in a few videos you’ve been on the road for years and I believe you got rid of your RV. Great videos as always.
Super excited for you guys. Honest, humble people, those are virtues in short supply in our world. I generally skip right over most "gear walk throughs", but yours carries some weight. Thanks for all you do, best wishes to all.
The Wickaninnish has nothing on you. Awesome chowder!!! Tofino is so amazing, visited on our motorcycles before covid .... We are Californians who love Canada.
My poor wife is terrified of being alone with me - we are also newly empty nesters! Just got back from some winter camping with our Illiinois Overlanders group and caught this newest video - lots of great ideas! Thanks!
Food Tip: When making a quick chowder like that and you don't have the time/space/stuff to make a proper fish stock a bottle of clam juice (also known as clam nectar) really adds a punch. good luck to the kids, have fun with your new found freedom. (on both sides of the equation)
Thank you! Going to add some to our Jeep pantry for the next time I make some chowder. We have a feeling it’s going to be a win, win 😊 Excited for this new chapter.
@@EFRT A carton of chicken broth, a couple of cans of V8 juice, some sort of meat, chopped cabbage, onion and your choice of seasonings gives a hearty road soup too. We often add drained and rinsed canned beans as well. Call it cabbage roll soup. The beauty of vehicle camping is you can carry cans...
I love that among all the expedition gear, you’re rocking the Cook Partner for your stove. That stuff is bulletproof. My uncle-and namesake of the Cook Partner-Harvey Partner, gifted my wife and I a Cook Partner when we got married. That was 25 years ago and hundreds of adventures since. You have EXCELLENT gear taste! 😁
Just purchased a superdutyf250 6.7 can't wait to get this truck going and overland , I've learned and still from watching your ideas and videos thank-you 😊. MERCED California
I am so glad we got to Torino before the madness closed the border. We want to come back when we can! Looking forward to seeing more of the area. Thanks!
For sure check out the Milwaukee 16" chainsaw while your considering chainsaw. Had issues with chain loosing initially but I'm sure chain stretch and lack of bar nut torque contributed to that. Works great now.
RV hot news is a alternator that is safe to charge battery bank & 1 hr fast idle quiet can recharge battery bank 20%. It puts out 58 volts not standard 12-14. Seems the next big thing every 1 wants is that light clean quiet cheap to operate power backed up by solar. Normal batteries can't handle that quick/fast charge though.
So happy for u guys that the kids get to have that opportunity! That’s a great idea that they film along with the parents, it’ll be like a tv sitcom following everyone in different places! I love it! Good luck with all your endeavors! I just started watching the channel months ago when I discovered the video from the fight through the snow your family made to get to the cabin! Been hooked since!
I just want to say this pandemic has got me watching all kinds of overlanding videos. I’ve been watching your series for some time now it’s so relaxing to watch while sipping some hot tea after coming home from work in the evening. I love the video editing and the soothing acoustic guitar music in the background. I’ve learned a lot about camping makes me want to go and get a Jeep. And I do love Jeeps. Haha! Truly great lifetime experiences. Keep it up 👍
Awesome video and so pumped to get my trips going more ad more in my new Wrangler 19!!! Gonna get all of it on camera and recorded for my channel!! Your video was so helpful!! SNOWBOARD SEASON HERE WE COME!
Great gear and I love the name of the latrine. It made me laugh out loud. I guess I’m just a kid at heart! The fire reflector was my favorite piece of gear and from experience makes a huge difference on a cold morning.
What a beautiful episode and an exciting chapter for your kids congratulations on being empty nesters for a little bit thank you and lots of love from our family to yours
Absolutely love your family. You two have given your children the world and more. You inspire me to show my children the world as you have every time I see your videos.
Great for their intership and yes I can image how big it's going to change your daily life to be sudenly two of you. Enjoy your time and keep sharing your adventures!

Thank you guys for sharing your gear that you put on your jeeps I love your rigs and you gave me such inspiration for my jeep and for my family and our journeys for the future with camping I’ve got a lot of gear but I didn’t have a good configuration and I like how your set up is thank you again for posting your journey and your travels it’s awesome to watch your channel I’m so glad I found it keep on making cool content and safe travels to you take care thanks much! 💯🇺🇸💯
Super helpful for those just starting the overland life. Love your videos, thank you and your family for the inspiration and motivation to get out and explore the Reno Tahoe area
Glad to see you guys are all doing well during this pandemic!!! Beverly and I are always watching all the videos and wish you all the best. And as always Safe Travels and stay Safe and Healthy.. Erick and Beverly.

Good luck to the kids and the new adventure. Empty nesters wow, sometimes we're looking forward to that, sometimes not, just the thought makes me miss my kids already. Love the channel and just the great content as a family of adventurers!
Wow, internship at Expedition Overland! That's amazing news! I've been living vicariously through their adventures for years. I wish I had that opportunity when I was younger. Best of luck to your kids!
We were pretty excited to Learn about the reflector until I checked. The fire reflector is ridiculously expensive. Almost as much as we spent on our tent.

Oh man! I’m excited for the kids! Working with Clay and Rachelle at XO will be an absolute treat and great stepping stone in their life adventure ahead! Stoked 🤙🏼
Great video! We're still building out our kit and looking into some of the items you shared here. Thanks for sharing, and congrats on the internship 🤙 -Josh
Great video. Just learned about you guys from the fieldcraft survival podcast. I gotta say tho, if that company, claymore, you get that lighting from isn't using the slogan "front towards darkness", they need to.
Thanks for the gear overviews. My wife and I are just getting started and are no where near capable of doing anything for more than a week. But we get out and do some 2-4 day stuff as much as we can. Thanks for the inspiration!
Excellent video! All of your videos are very inspiring and have gotten us into overlanding. It’s also very nice to see how much your videos have evolved in terms of storytelling and breath taking visuals, really well done!
Excellent episode. I have watched them all, but this is one that I was hoping for in order to understand better the tools and equipment that you use. Excited for the kids and their upcoming adventure. You are a wonderful family and it has been very enjoyable to follow your story. I have introduced many many people to your channel. The content and delivery are extremely well done. Have a happy and healthy 2021.
