I love that you talked about how to measure for the drawers. Many videos I've watched on drawer building provides no help in that area so it ends up being guess work to figure out how to measure correctly
That's pretty much the most challenging part, so thought it was important to share!
Agree .. I searched for so many videos until I ran into this .. thank you !!
I love this station, it is coming together so nicely! I appreciate you putting this video together! The look at 3:55 cracked me up!! How many times I will be in the shop by myself and the same look comes across my face!
Haha I know we've all been there!
Great job Marie! I started wood working to build something custom for my kids I couldn’t find in stores. Amazing how quick it turns into a hobby of building more stuff for your shop. Lol! Just moved to Florida, so once I get setup I can finally work all year in the garage! Keep them coming!
That's awesome, enjoy the Florida weather! You'll need AC in there ;)
And yeah, this hobby can become a journey lol...
Outstanding video and the work done with the drawers and rails. Cleared the way for fixing my drawers. Thank you
This video came at the perfect time..I’m building a cabinet and I just got to the drawer part of the build. Thanks!
Great! Hope this helped.
Great video, short, simple, well explained; taught me some great techniques like the washer spacing and making the fronts after the boxes were in - thanks
This is exactly what I was looking for!! Thank you so much! You're a good teacher, easy to understand
Wow! Very nice and simple instructions. I love the simplicity of just using 2x4 to install the drawers. 👍🏻 again keeping it simple! Now I’ll make my own. Thank you and cheer’s!
I just spent the better part of 3 days looking on RUclips for how to build and install my first drawers using drawer slides. A frustrating endeavor to say the least because no one wanted to just explain and show the easiest method. They all want to over complicate it for a beginner by installing fancy contraptions with tricky and expensive slides. Then I came across this video, and after watching it a few times, learned how to size and build the drawer, learned how to choose the slide length I needed, and then to top it off, learned how add drawer fronts to everything. Just came back from Lowe's Hardware with the Euro style slides for the drawers, picked up the plywood, and getting ready to build them for my cabinet under my saw.
The same thing happened when I built the Flip Top tool cart you built in another video. I built it exactly like you said, and it came out perfectly.
Thank You!
Thinks for putting this up. Love the grain direction.
Appreciate this tutorial, really put things in perspective for me. Making one of these for my workbench at work will be a breeze now. Thanks!
I love the look of these drawers. I have also used Euro slides in my shop. Their cost is significantly less than the ball bearing variety. I did overload one drawer and caused a bend, but I was able to repair the slide and then remove some of the weight and the problem was solved. I had tried to store large containers of Craig screws and large containers of concealed hinges. Thanks for the video.
Nice work. Your video production is great too - it will no doubt help many others who wish to build a set of drawers similar. When people can see things in detail as you've shown here they are more likely to give things a go themselves. Well done! 👍
Great stuff! Thank you. Am just getting into this fun art. Going to copy your drawers. Simple and clean. Nice.
Awesome, thanks! Have fun!
Love how easy it is to build drawers, and I love your set up!
Thank you diy Montreal for your vlog on making a cabinet I've learned so much of it. Thank you
I like this. I also like the way you have the grain on the drawer fronts all matching. 👍👍
learn something new everyday! Now I know how to use my Kreg cabinet hardware jig for center knob! Thanks!
Awesome work! Clear and simple explanation is all many of us want. Great execution. Looks fantastic.
Just found your channel and really enjoy watching you work. Very clear instructions without any annoying music blaring in the background. The template for the forestner bit will help me so much. Thanks
I modeled my miter station after yours due to it's simplicity and functionality, now on to the drawers. I positioned my drill press on the opposite end and will have space for the shop vacuum underneath the miter saw, and a pancake air compressor, ( which allows me space to make a drawer for Kreg stuff), and soon to be a mobile base for a router table. Thank you for your help, Phil
Very nice .love the heavy duty draws with the thick bottom. Unbreakable...and the sliders excellent
How have I missed your channel? Been learning woodworking and diy stuff for a few years and your channel has the practical stuff I'm after.
- GOOD Job. Clear, concise, helpful info.
Sehr coole Sache und die prüfende Katze absolute Klasse 👍👍👍👍👍🙌
Well done Marie!!!
Молодец. Просто, дёшево и качественно. Лайк за видео.
I really was looking for a video like this, i learn a lot, thank you for sharing
Amazing work. Really fantastic and precise job!
Great video. I've got to tackle building some drawers and I've never done anything like that before. Your video will be a massive help. Thank you :-)
New to woodworking... And let me tell you..... Thank you so much for introducing me to euro slides 😁
My pleasure!
Simple and effective... Well done.
Great video. All the details needed and no nonsense. I'll definitely reference this when I start my project.
Thanks!
Once again Marie Belle Job!
Appreciate all the great tips!
Merci!
Merci beaucoup!!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Thank you for posting this video & especially for explaining your steps so throughly!!!!
I like how you matched grain on your drawer faces
Your channel and projects has really grown on me. Love your practical easy approach. Great build again.
Thanks! Happy to hear that :-)
Great video! Happy to see that there is a cheaper option for shop drawers
Absolutely! There's always a cheaper option (wooden slides would be even cheaper) - just depends how much you're willing to sacrifice for it.
I was flicking through some DIY and I came across yours, so well presented nice job well done.
5/6/2019 USA Grandpa Bill: I am 71 years old, and now experiencing admiration and respect. Your efforts here are a genuine model to all. Your high quality belongs in schools. In my eyes, you are a national treasure. There is not one aspect of your concept, execution, video editing, enunciation, the overall presentation that interferes with the transfer of knowledge. Your prowess at woodworking speaks for itself. Your clarity and appropriate precision is ... well, as a member of the male machine I can say you present the finest threat to the citadel of manly woodworkers I have ever seen.
Thank you so much for your kind words, I'm truly honoured! And a little speechless :-) Thanks for the encouragements, it means a lot!
Hello Grandpa Bill Did you post on May 6 2019 or on June 5 June 2019? The international metric date format is 20190506 for May 6 and 20190605 for June 5. You certainly are eloquent.
@@peggyt1243 In my language 5/6/2019 and in your language 20190506. Interesting. and how are you today?
@@Meticularius What does my age have to do with it?
@@peggyt1243 I don't recall referring to your age.
I like this style for shop drawers. Good cadence to easily follow along.
Perfect, just what I needed to see! Thank you.
Using two pieces of the stock is a great idea. I just added shims to some drawers as the baltic birch I used was from different places and were different thicknesses. Two drawers fit perfectly but the other two were too narrow.
Me gusto mucho tu video muy buena idea para ahorrar espacio creeo que la voy implementar excelente trabajo
Your shop has really come a long way from it's start. Looking very nice.
Thanks!
thanks much I have a project helping my daughter with drawers in an unfinished space..... your video will be a GREAT help
Nice job!
Made it look s-o easy.
nice one. Just got my shop built...I'll be using something like this for my miter station storage. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome, enjoy the build!
Very nice work, would love to work in your tight spaces and save you the trouble. Keep up the great videos.
Well done. Easy to follow & totally logical workflow.
I like the red knobs too. I think a nice satin finish on the plywood (without stain) would go well.
:-)
Very nice. I like the RED drawer knobs routine! Semper Fi
Thank for sharing. Very helpful for the DIYers.
You make this look so easy! Thanks for the video, now to muster the courage to try it. =)
Very nice great the way the drawer front veneer grain lines up. Thanks
Thanks! I cut it from one continuous sheet of plywood for a more finished look.
Nicely Done
I See You Have
A Few Up Great
On Your Shop
CONGRATULATIONS 🎉🎈
Im building a mobile graphix trailer...... this diy vid helped a ton....thanks!!
So cool and informative. Just found your channel, live the miter saw table as well!
Outstanding,well done!
Thank you!
OMG the cat, so fluffy! Amazing video!
And I have 2 of them that are equally as fluffy... So much fur around the house!
I am a real fan of what you create. Congratulations!
Thank you, appreciate it!
great job!! and fantastic explanations too!!
Thanks, appreciate it!
Excellent video! Very helpful.
Love this. I don't have a drill press yet, but I'm building a radial arm saw station. I'm going to do a separate area for a (future) drill press and put drawers in like you did.
Great video! Very informative and easy to follow. The only thing missing with my workbench drawer build is the kitty. 😺
Thanks :-) kitty doesn't get to come in the shop much so this was a real treat ;)
Great! Thanks.
Good job, I learned quite a bit.
@DIYMontreal thanks for the lesson. I suggest you line the bottom of your drawers with a rubber mat to alleviate your belongs sliding around. Don't tack it down though. If you cut it to fit...when it comes time to clean them you can simply lift and dump...
Nice Job Great instruction!!
New Subscriber...I like how simply you explain stuff & the quality of your work. Enjoyed the video. Thank you.
Thank you, appreciate it!
Excellent
Thank you
Mad skills. Very nice work!
Thanks!
Fabulous video thank you
great job,
I will build these for my shop
Awesome, enjoy!
best explanation till now 👍
Very impressive!
Good job . I’m of an age that I don’t like small places anymore so I built a Cabinet to fit the drawers into . Helped with stability . Kudos for changing to metric , which I’m used to now . I find mistakes are minor with mm .. I subscribed before I saw the cat , I’m a dog guy lol
Lol that's why I kept the cat til the end! ;) I was always a dog person too... Go figure!
I wish I could always work with metric but it's not feasible given that all our lumber dimensions and building standards are imperial.
Thanks for sharing your talent keep it up. Nice video and learned alot. And love from India thankyou.
- Nice job ! ! ! Re-reading the metric measurements enough times to "get it."
wow beautiful job deserves a subscribe can't wait to see more
Great video!
Thanks!
Gonna try it
Very good video. Thanks for sharing.
Great!
great job!
Great job 👍
Very very good job thank you.
Thanks!
Great build Marie, and a thumbs up from me as well.
I see your shop helper was caught sleeping on the job, a Cat Nap ha ha ha.
Barry (ENG)
Thanks! Thumbs up right back at you :-)
Haha my helper is always doing anything but helping me out it seems!
I installed drawers on a bench that was previously installed....but I didn’t check to see if the opening was square so I had some problems. Lessons learned. Enjoyed your video!
Very nice. Keep sharing
really nice job
Impressive videos! You do a great job! Bravo!
Thank you very much!
Du très joli travail comme d’habitude, moi qui avait envie de faire un support de perceuse à colonne ça me donne du courage pour entreprendre ce travail. Bravo à vous.
Excellent! Merci beaucoup et bonne chance!
Way to go giiirrrrl
Good job
Nicely done!
Thanks!
Great job! I'd use the drawers the same way you did, for storing pets! 😁
Haha 🤣 Awesome
You could store your bench dogs in them :-)
@@gregf5730 hahah! That's a good idea, but I think my real dog would be jealous of the nice home my bench dogs would have!
Nice grain continuity on the drawer fronts!
Thanks! I cut it from one continuous sheet of plywood for a more finished look.
Well done on the build and the video.
Thanks!
Toujours du joli travail bravo salut Jeannot 🛠😉
Merci!
Awesome
Thank's for video
