I bought this same exact brushless drill / driver set myself. They are both great tools! The impact driver does have TONS of torque to drive in long screws. Speed 1 on the impact driver is my favorite feature. It auto-senses how much torque is being used, and automatically slows down when the screw head is nearly flush, then very slowly impacts for a flush screw. This way I don't drive my screws too far into softer wood by mistake.

Glad you were able to work with Loews as a sponsor. As with any big box store and the internet, it all about price, selection, availability. In my book it's not about the coupon that is about to expire it's more about my current needs and where can I get the best deal and warranty. Dewalt has it's merits but so do many other brands on the market. I have bought Chicago, WEN, and many others with perfect results and at a much lower cost then I could buy tools from the big box. Math is everything in a tool; if you will almost never use it but it will work buy the 100$ version as apposed to the 500$ version sold by big Yellow and Red. My personal addiction is Porter Cable; they came from good roots and although Black&Decker is their current oversee I have not seen a decline in their products. Leave the coupon behind and use your head when buying a tool or any other product for that matter. Peace.
