I have baked this 4 times. The first time my 16-year old son tasted it, it put a smile on his face. He's a fuzzy eater. I have made it into dinner rolls or a loaf of bread. They came out just as nice. My oven works best with 150 degrees Celsius, baked for 22 minutes. I would suggest you to try out your oven and adjust accordingly. Thanks for posting this recipe. This recipe came handy as the Hong Kong Government banned the unvaccinated from going to Super Markets, Restaurants, Malls etc. So I baked my own bread. Who needs the super market anyway :-). So awesome! Made these more savory and less sweet by *not* adding the extra 1/4c. of sugar with the flour. Rolled into a big rectangle, sprinkle grated cheddar, rolled it up and cut like a cinnamon roll. Brushed with egg, sprinkled a bit more grated cheddar on top and let the buns rise for 30 mins. I tried this recipe, they are sooo good!! I used evaporated milk mix with condensed milk instead of fresh milk. And I cut down the sugar to half as the condensed milk is already sweet. And it turned out really good. Im soo glad I found your video! Thank youu for the recipe!!

These were delicious! My children just kept eating them and asking for more. I made them as rolls on a night that we ran out of bread for Barbecue Chicken Sliders. My daughter and I loved them as slider bread but the Men folks just want Strawberry preserves or peanut butter. They taste great just did not rise as high. I believe my yeast was not that great. Was looking for bread roll recipe and came across this. Just baked them and they turned out super soft and beautiful. Sprinkled some sesame seeds on mine. My family loved them. I guess next time I will reduce my oven heat to 165°C to get a lighter brown bake. But on the whole it turned out great. Will try out as a loaf next time

I am trying your recipe but I’m putting diced sweet orange & red peppers in between the buns before second rise. I’ve also put some grated cheese in the middle of each bun before I form them. Topping with very thin sliced sweet onions and mozzarella cheese. Will still egg wash the tops. I’ve mixed minced garlic with butter to top after baking. I tried this recipe yesterday and it was great. The bread is so soft and fluffy even after I left them at the room temperature for a night. I checked them the next morning and it still soft. Thank you very much 🙏🏼 I am not savvy in baking at all as even following recipes, the result usually never turns out the way it should. so what a surprise to see how making such a dough involving bread’s yeast (which is such an anxiety usually to work with) turn out into such a cloudy fluffy sweet bread, a korean brioche even better in texture than french brioche or even milk bread. Of course, I twisted the recipe a bit to adding more sugar to turn it into a sweet cloudy brioche. Mamma mia! A wonder for the entire family. Perfectly done and explained. Error proof!

So if I'm using instant yeast do I need to make that first wet mixture or just move on. No milk and all that small stuff?
Just add it to the dry ingredients and keep going. Mix the wet ingredients as shown.

I am trying your recipe but I’m putting diced sweet orange & red peppers in between the buns before second rise. I’ve also put some grated cheese in the middle of each bun before I form them. Topping with very thin sliced sweet onions and mozzarella cheese. Will still egg wash the tops. I’ve mixed minced garlic with butter to top after baking. Thank you so much for sharing your recipe and for demonstrating each step with a time line on how long to rise each time. Very grateful!

I tried this recipe yesterday and it was great. The bread is so soft and fluffy even after I left them at the room temperature for a night. I checked them the next morning and it still soft. My mother loves it so much we don't have to buy her favourite bread from our usual store anymore. Thank you 💓❤️

WOW! Thank you very much 🙏🏼 I am not savvy in baking at all as even following recipes, the result usually never turns out the way it should. so what a surprise to see how making such a dough involving bread’s yeast (which is such an anxiety usually to work with) turn out into such a cloudy fluffy sweet bread, a korean brioche even better in texture than french brioche or even milk bread. Of course, I twisted the recipe a bit to adding more sugar to turn it into a sweet cloudy brioche. Mamma mia! A wonder for the entire family. Perfectly done and explained. Error proof!

Tried this yesterday and it's sooo good.. Super fluffy! Super soft! Not sweet and milky.. The dough is good to knead its not sticky. I don't have to leave it to become less sticky as you said.. And it's yummier and softer the following day. Thanks for sharing your recipe.
BTW i used bread flour instead and baked it for 15mins.

Followed this recipe exactly and I made my first perfect batch of dinner rolls. I literally had a ratatouille moment back to my childhood when I ate them. I added a garlic butter on top after they finished cooling.I froze a few balls for later as well…thanks so much!
