- Hello lovely darlings! Today, I will teach you how to bake a super soft buns without failing. Bake along and enjoy baking with me. Let me know your baking experience, please comment down below. Thank you! :)
This recipe yields 16 pcs buns. Pan size is 8.5×8.5 square pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 18-20 minutes or until lightly brown. Baking time may vary depending on your oven specifications. I have a conventional oven that heat rises from the bottom.
Here's what you'll need:
1 tbsp sugar 10g
2 tsp active dry yeast 6g
1 cup milk 237ml (please use warm milk, evap, or fresh or UHT milk)
½ cup unsalted butter (110g)
1 large egg
3½ cup all purpose flour (437g)
¼ cup sugar (50g)
1 tsp salt (5g)
2 tbsp oil for bowl
Eggwash
1 egg and 1 tbsp milk

I have baked this 4 times. The first time my 16-year old son tasted it, it put a smile on his face. He's a fuzzy eater. I have made it into dinner rolls or a loaf of bread. They came out just as nice. My oven works best with 150 degrees Celsius, baked for 22 minutes. I would suggest you to try out your oven and adjust accordingly. Thanks for posting this recipe. This recipe came handy as the Hong Kong Government banned the unvaccinated from going to Super Markets, Restaurants, Malls etc. So I baked my own bread. Who needs the super market anyway :-).

So if I'm using instant yeast do I need to make that first wet mixture or just move on. No milk and all that small stuff?
Just add it to the dry ingredients and keep going. Mix the wet ingredients as shown.

Thank you so much for your clarification on instant yeast and active dry yeast. I thought they are the same, I never realize they require different cooking technique to get the dough to rise perfectly. Love your recipe.

I've been using this recipe twice & the results were magnificent! I added sugar & shredded cheese as their toppings and my siblings love it very much. Also i made some cinnamon butter filling & this is the best cinnamon bun i ever made! The bread was fluffy and soft, the best recipe ever. Thank you for sharing this ❤️

So awesome! Made these more savory and less sweet by *not* adding the extra 1/4c. of sugar with the flour. Rolled into a big rectangle, sprinkle grated cheddar, rolled it up and cut like a cinnamon roll. Brushed with egg, sprinkled a bit more grated cheddar on top and let the buns rise for 30 mins. Great dough recipe, thank you!

I tried this recipe, they are sooo good!! I used evaporated milk mix with condensed milk instead of fresh milk. And I cut down the sugar to half as the condensed milk is already sweet. And it turned out really good. Im soo glad I found your video! Thank youu for the recipe!!

What kind of flour was used? I tried using with with King Arthur baking company flour I bleached all purpose and the Doug still comes out very sticky even after letting it sit before kneading

Tip- While rising and baking add a bowl of hot water the steam makes it extra soft and spongy so yummy ..

Thank you very much 🙏🏼 I am not savvy in baking at all as even following recipes, the result usually never turns out the way it should. so what a surprise to see how making such a dough involving bread’s yeast (which is such an anxiety usually to work with) turn out into such a cloudy fluffy sweet bread, a korean brioche even better in texture than french brioche or even milk bread. Of course, I twisted the recipe a bit to adding more sugar to turn it into a sweet cloudy brioche. Mamma mia! A wonder for the entire family. Perfectly done and explained. Error proof!
Followed this recipe exactly and I made my first perfect batch of dinner rolls. I literally had a ratatouille moment back to my childhood when I ate them. I added a garlic butter on top after they finished cooling.I froze a few balls for later as well…thanks so much!

I did this with instant yeast. It came out perfect. My brother thought it was a store bought.😅 Finished all in one night. I had failed several times before with other recipes. But with this video, i finally managed to make buns like a professional...hahaha...so happy! Thank you.

These were delicious! My children just kept eating them and asking for more. I made them as rolls on a night that we ran out of bread for Barbecue Chicken Sliders. My daughter and I loved them as slider bread but the Men folks just want Strawberry preserves or peanut butter. They taste great just did not rise as high. I believe my yeast was not that great. Make sure to double the recipe; you will be mad at yourself if you don't! Thanks for sharing! My little man enjoyed helping me kneed the dough! Family Fun!

I made them from another you tuber and they didn't come out at all. I was so angry. I gave a try with your recipe and OMG, my family couldn't stop eating them.
