Been really loving these videos of what to say in real life scenarios!! They are incredibly helpful since you just don’t find things like these in textbooks at all. Thank you so much, please do keep making more!! 🥰
agree! these videos mix both easy words/expressions that I already learned and difficult words that I rarely heard. This is really useful to refresh my memory.
Thank you for explaining the connotation of 'Betsuni.' I hear that all the time in anime and I probably would not have picked up on the passive aggressive connotation without someone pointing it out!
Thanks for this, I’ve been living in Japan for 4 years now and confidently responding to store staff has always been an issue because they speak so fast and you never learn natural Japanese from textbooks. 😊👍
This is so useful. When I first moved to Japan I actually bought clothes I didn't want one time because I didn't know how to say 'no' to the shop clerk politely!
I ran into that exact problem ("How was it?" ".....uhhhhh") years ago when trying stuff on! Thank you so much for the video! I'm definitely going to use this in the future.
These have been super helpful! Are there any you could do from the perspective of a customer service worker? Like common phrases to use in that line of work? That would be interesting!
Thank you so much for those new videos, Miku! I thought that it would be something to watch maybe next year and I'm so happy that you could make such videos happen sooner. You're awesome! 👏🏼💗
Stuff like this is so helpful... I remember visiting Japan with my BA in Japanese studies (i.e. being able to read academic texts and newspapers) but not even knowing simplest Japanese like how to politely tell the cashier that I don't need a bag. XD
Can you make a video on making business calls? For Ex. Calling the reception then asking if we can speak to a certain person > then making some of conversation with that person about business > etc. Thank you so much Miku San! ❤️❤️
within a week, you made 2 useful and practical videos , thanks very much. In the video, i saw using て form to connect 2 verbs, 合わせみて、みてみあす、seem a very useful way to express oneself. Hope in near future , you can make a video on this topic. Again appreciate your effort.
Hi Miku Sensei, Thank you for the video. This is my first time to watch your video, it's really helpful for me as I am visiting Tokyo towards the end of May. I hope to see more of your video thank you.
Thank you so much! Finally I found what I was looking for. I was looking for exactly this kind of situation videos (also liked the one about how to order in an Izakaya). Can you please something like that for supermarkets (like when looking for a product etc) and post offices as well? Thank you for your hard work, you got a new subscriber to your channel! ☺️
This videos are amazing, I love them! When I was in Japan I made HUGE mistakes for not knowing this kind of stuff, so I think this is very, very helpful!
This is very helpful and exactly what I was looking for. I remember shopping in Japan many years ago and didn’t know how to respond to the store clerk’s question. I would say “けっこうです” or “いらないです” which may not be the right way to respond. This time when I go back to Japan and shop, I will know how to respond without offending the clerks. :)
Love your channel! Video request, i need technical Japanese around history and museums. Could you make a video like this one but for visiting a museum ( things you would hear at a museum) 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Miku san you are an excellent teacher. Great video about shopping experience. When the Corona virus issue has been solved, I will visit Japan again and would love to invite you for coffee or a drink.
Your videos are amazing! I've lived in Japan for one year and didn't know any of these things before going there lol Well, I'm planning to go back, so your videos have helped me remember how things work and what I should do (some things I didn't know at all, even after leaving Japan)
First time walking into a store when in Japan, clerk screams ”いらっしゃいませ!” At the time I knew little Japanese and I turn to my wife asking if I did something wrong lol.
This video guide me how I should take a shopping in public. Of course, as I used not to speake in japanese in my environment, even I know many a vocabulary for beginner level, I cann't speak. I love your creation. Thank, love and wait for you, 先生.
I love your videos, we can improve to the next level from basics. It's also very nice to learn the culture, and how to express ourselves very nicely, avoiding saying "no". In this matter English language is quite similar, so it's good to absorb this kind of thinking. :)
I always freeze and pull the foreigner's card when shopping because 1. I have no idea what they said, 2. no idea how to respond. The pressure suddenly mounts up and I always kick myself when I leave because I didn't try. Hopefully this will help in the future!
Can you make a video when shopping in Large Store please? Like a Gucci, prada Because I will work in the place like that, and in the interview I will make role play as a staff in the shop. Please 🙏
Wow... Miku sensei has really perfected the high-pitched Japanese sales lady voice 😂👏
Maybe it's from experience 😅

I'd like to learn real Japanese on cellphone conversation example you gonna talk a friend. Btw Miku Thanks for all your useful videos 👍😁
これ!
I'm definitely going to use this in the future.
what did you say during that time?
Thank you for explaining the nuances of “betsu ni.” It definitely sounded rude but I wasn’t sure what else to use. ☺️💕
That's so helpful, thanks! Important to also understand what's the staff is saying, so I am grateful that you explained it. Thank you 😊
Awesome!
These have been super helpful! Are there any you could do from the perspective of a customer service worker? Like common phrases to use in that line of work? That would be interesting!

This was very useful! Thank you so much Miku! Look forward to more videos like this which you can use in real situations!
