I too , as a former supporter of IHOPKC, have felt it of utmost responsibility to expose what’s going on to those I have been ministering to…. What is not being talked about at all is where is Mike Bickle since all this broke out and what’s being done to hold him accountable? Especially because so many people need closure.

The point is that he is not being supported in victimizing anyone in The name of Christ and the under the guise of ministry and that he gets to find freedom from sin in Christ. I think that's what accountability is for right? It's not for us to control one another but to ensure safety and that the gospel of Jesus Christ is kept simple and pure. I've wondered if he's a sex addict. AA helps alcoholics find freedom by surrendering their life and will to God and, as they say, 'to clean up the wreckage of their past'. Maybe he needs recovery. I think by love we serve one another and help the Body of Christ be whole and remember Jesus is the answer for people trapped and oppressed in sin.
I was present in the prayer room July 29 at the 4pm set when Samuel Hood took to the mic and prayed for unity and healing with all that has happened. Praise God, the Father does not abandon His children.

The discussion is should or could Greg Locke be an apostle? Didn’t he and his Christian wife divorce and he marry his assistant (who was his wife’s best friend) And she divorced her husband also to marry Greg . why is this being ignored? Thank you for bringing this up. I didn't want to bash the guy. But this divorce should not be overlooked. In this case it seems clear cut adultery. Too many leaders in the church are divorcing and many just move on a year later. It really out of control at this point. We need better teaching on marriage and divorce in the church. It should be till death do us part for two Christians.

Don't know him or have any direct knowledge of particulars, but if it is what it would appear to be (kick your spouse to the curb, and seduce your brother's wife away from him), the behavior is consistent with apostasy. The really hard thing is that in the world of TV and internet personalities, their isn't (YET!) any mechanism for church discipline that spans across regions or nations. We really need to know those who labor among us.

I never went to IHOPKC, I visited once. My father was a pastor and he didn't have a good feeling about this place and I took his side on the matter. This was around 2004. My brother insisted that he go and that my parents support him, which they did. He spent about a decade at IHOPKC. He ended up having a crush on Misty and gave her a flower and asked her out. Soon after he did that the church alienated him. He had a few other room mates on the campus and the church relocated his room mates to different housing leaving him in the shared apartment by himself with the church obligating him to pay the full cost which he couldn't afford. All because he had a crush on Misty. Now that I see the polygamy that her and other leaders of that church had, I can see the full picture. I'm not trying to bash, but they need to be held accountable, Bickle needs to face man's justice for being a pedophile among other disgusting things. Misty needs to be held accountable for playing along and ruining people's lives. This is what's become of their legacy. They shouldn't be allowed to just go and hide from this with the hopes that it will go away. It won't and it shouldn't go away til they step up and hold themselves accountable.

Feeling wonderful feelings that gratify the flesh and cause weeping and euphoria is not proof that people love God and it is not proof that God approves of their sinful life and impure hearts. It is not a sign that they are saved. Many folks state that they would give their life for Jesus and they may actually have convinced themselves that this is true; But the truth is many will not put to death the sinful choices they make and the fleshly desires they indulge in. They won't get the sin out of their hearts. This has to be present tense. They choose their will above God's and will not live for Him, let alone die for Him. If the above is the case then those folk are not truly saved. Far too many Christians simply wish to avoid hell. They don't know their Bible and don't know Jesus. The reason they want heaven is because they wish to escape hell. They do not love Jesus and they could care less if they see Jesus in heaven and could care less if he is there. They care if their dog is in heaven but do not care if Jesus is. Some love their dog and their sin above Jesus. Now that is not loving God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Yeah but so many attending the mega religious buildings are not the church. The true believers who have repented and purified their hearts and bear the fruit of the Spirit And obey Jesus and love Jesus Words/the Truth. Yes they will be hated and despised by the world. They will be afflicted and persecuted and some will be put to death. They love the Lord Jesus and those who persecute them will be punished. However the lukewarm are not the true believers. They need to repent before It's too late. They have compromised and participated in evil. They have not purified their hearts. Preaching that they need to repent is loving them.

Hi. Just got info yesterday that people from IHOPKC are starting a church. I don’t know if it will be under the umbrella of IHOPKC. It is supposed to start sometime around Labor Day weekend. That was all the information given out. I am still grieving and crying over the damage that has been done to others and myself. I don’t understand why they won’t let it go. I don’t get it.

I attended a church two weeks ago that used a room at ihopkc til they got a permanent location. I went to prayer room like an hr bc I walked over from the Airbnb next door.
What's with immediately starting another church? It's like, oh well that one didn't work, let's try again so we can keep our ministry income going! Really? Isn't it time for sober reflection and mourning and lamentation for the sins of Bickle and company? But no, let's just keep going and start over... What could possibly go wrong?

If Bickle's sins go back that far to the beginning and before IHOP, I question that God was ever in it at all. Complete works of the flesh and religious spirit. I think this adds more layers than just the Morris scandal. You have a while system built upon a narrative primarily starting with Jones (they even tried to create a narrative by using their asuza now conference from the 100 years of first wave pentecostalism years ago) to give legitimacy to themselves as part of that tradition. Dutch Sheets and many prominent missions organizations started giving their endorsement. You watch MB sitting done talking with the president of Cru (a college ministry) you can see the grandiose smile he has. The man is seemingly clearly delusional and this ministries tentacles are getting involved in the wider 'evangelical world' just to bolster themselves as being in the mainstream. The whole thing I'm sure was artificially manufactured just fir the same of launching a movement to restore what they think is missing in the local church (modern day apostles and prophets)

Malachi also played a large part in Greg Locke being named an apostle. That was suspect with how all that happened as well. That is not something to be given as a birthday present which is what happened at the suggestion of Tai. I used to attend that church and God did so much in my life while there, but the tide did change about a year ago and no question it was time to leave. Just very concerned for friends who are still there. I pray for them and the Lockes frequently. A lot of people have left and continue to leave.

The Biblical standards of an apostle: 1.) They fit the character qualifications of Elders/overseers 1 Tim. 3:1-8; Titus 1:1-9 etc. 2.) They have DIRECTLY seen Jesus and directly commissioned by Jesus to be an apostle. 3.) Ministry is accompanied by widespread signs and wonders. 4. Experience apostolic suffering/persecution (2 Corinthians 1:3-6; 11-12)- and OVERCOME IT. (True widespread signs and wonders will threaten institutions with money/political power-causing threats/persecution in Acts 3-5.) 5. Multiply disciples and lead leaders. If there are apostles today, they fall under jurisdiction of Jesus' warning to his first apostles in Matthew 24:48-51; Luke 12:35-47. If Jesus grants true apostolic authority and the leaders persistently abuse authority, Jesus will administer ETERNAL judgment upon them. We need a national conversation on this warning of Jesus in our leadership circles.

This is all so sad and painful but God will purify His church. I really appreciate how you speak with respect and do not just pour anger and bitterness. This is not anything new to the church. Its been going on for 2000 years. Paul speaks about those who are not in ministry for pure reasons. It is just a cycle that we are in right now. He is in control and knows what He is doing. I will be glad when this season is over and the church can move on into newness and purity of Christ again. I remember when the Charismatic was new and fresh and my heart aches for those times again. Jesus was so sweet. The Toronto blessing was like that in the beginning also.
I was SA'd in a Church back in the 1970s. That church was experiencing Revival. I was saved in that Revival. But ALSO was molested by a Worship Leader at the same time.
That's so very sad and disturbing.. I heard a sex offender say churches are places they go to groom victims because the people there are so trusting. We should ALWAYS be reminded and taught that our trust is to be in Jesus, not in people, including Christians. I can honestly say I've never read anywhere in scripture where we're told to trust man. I'm really angry and sad that that happened to you. You deserved to be protected as a new, vulnerable believer. We need to all get our eyes on Jesus and follow Him and encourage each other to do the same and let go of the rest.

To see the young ones pick up the baton and run with the songs that captivated us with the Song of Songs love for Him-- this will be what carries the movement forward throughout the world until He returns for His Bride. I understand that you want to be kind. However no where in the Bible does it say to give someone "the benefit of doubt". It gives clear definitions of what a church leader should be. Also it says to test the spirits to see if they are of God. This whole fiasco including all of these "pastors" is an example of giving people the benefit of doubt. These "pastors" making the news when you truly look into their lives were never qualified.
My words here are of course rhetorical. To point out the absurdity of it all. But they are not allowed to give a negative report; not if they want a healing. They are only allowed to give positive confessions or else they don't have faith and won't get healed. Not to mention all the pressure and coercion. You surely don't want to be the wet blanket and offend people. You don't want to let everybody down when they are expecting and hoping and depending on you to decree and declare your healing so that you can go home and eagerly wait and wait and wait and wait to receive. Do not say you are not healed yet and offend the man of God. Do not speak negative. Only speak positive confessions of faith so that the crowd claps. If you don't pretend then it's all your fault. Well it's your fault anyway.
I never used the word and implied giving Mike the benefit of doubt. He is guilt and this should be taken very serious. But Mike is out of ministry and has said anything public in a long time. We need to start moving past what Mike did at some point. This might take many years for the victims.
I think they lost a head in the war. They reacted over the months in an extremely erratic way, not at all unlike a chicken with its head cut off. It seems that others were simply titular leaders, as they just did not know how to respond to the situation in a Biblical manner.
The leadership in this situation was extremely lacking all across the board. The body of christ is in a war time season. And that calls for a certain type of leader. Many will not have what it takes to lead in the end times church
Part of the problem that so many people want to worship pastors and worship leaders because it tickles their ears and helps them be part of the world. How can these leaders not be corrupted by this kind of worship that should only be given to Jesus. Read your Bibles so you are not deceived by these Wolves. Its the end times and lovers of self are everywhere.
Where is the assembly today where Eph. 4:12 and 1 Cor. 14:26 manifest? Where is the assembly where the congregation comes together and they ALL participate, not simply spectate? So much of what we FEEL when we 'worship' is of the soul and not the Spirit.Very little of what happens in our meetings is of the Holy Spirit ...... if it were we wouldn't have what we have today. The nonsense in the pulpits and the pew would not be tolerated if the meeting were truly being led by the Holy Spirit. The Word of the LORD recently to the pastors ................ get a job.
When I was there in 2012 at IHOP, I couldn't worship there because everyone sitting in the prayer room had all these laptops open and working on things when there should have been worship to the Lord. I was very disappointed when I finally left there. It answered a lot of questions for me.

One thing you need to understand is as students we spent hrs and hrs and hrs in the prayer room worship prayer study so seeing people on their laptops is not a big deal. The prayer room was our life for yrs.

"It's how we finish the race that is most important." So true, and it all starts with RIGHT NOW. Our choices right now give form to our tomorrows. Your word is a needed call to repentance. As you noted, God's longsuffering is so often misunderstood to mean that He is not serious about judging sin. When actually, He is coming suddenly to His temple, but who can endure the day of His coming, or stand when He appears? (Mal. 3:1,2). Ironically, it was MB who said that God would change the very expression of Christianity in one generation (40 years have now come since he gave that word.) Fearfully, this is, I believe, a true word. The housecleaning in Moses' day left only two (2) standing from the old generation. May God have mercy, because the change that is coming will not involve the sweet bliss that some have supposed.
Greg locke should not even be a pastor let a lone an apostle. He had an affair on his wife and got rid of her (that is the right term) to marry the lady he was having an affair with. The man is disgusting.

There are actually 24 Apostles mentioned in the New Testament. But the word apostle has multiple meanings in Greek. Yes Paul was an Apostles. The question is are they around today. It's possible. However a large majority of people who called themselves Apostles are just silly.

@@zhuangcorp because I was involved in ministry with them in 2005 to 2008 and Kirk Bennett was essentially a dictator and in so many words essentially made it out and said himself that they are trying to be in place to take over many people know this who have been involved closely with them most people don’t like them either because of their attitude and disregard of other people, including myself.
I think the better question is, "Did ANYONE?" I've known Mike since '74, and I was active at KCF for six years during the 80's. Several months before I left there, I had a dream that was revealing of him . . . but only in retrospect (about 45 years later!) have I been able to recognize the implications of it. "Some men's sins are clearly evident, preceding them to judgment, but those of some men follow later (1 Tim. 5:24). As even Elisha found out (See 2 Kings 4:27), if the LORD does not choose to reveal something, we cannot see it.
I did start to notice the ministry has become "stale". And unfortunately i did not press into the lord about this more. Mike was the last person in the world i thought would be involved with anything like this. He lived a simple life and had decent theology other then the early ihopkc stuff. This was a huge lesson for me to be more discerning with any ministry moving forward

The point is that he is not being supported in victimizing anyone in The name of Christ and the under the guise of ministry and that he gets to find freedom from sin in Christ. I think that's what accountability is for right? It's not for us to control one another but to ensure safety and that the gospel of Jesus Christ is kept simple and pure. I've wondered if he's a sex addict. AA helps alcoholics find freedom by surrendering their life and will to God and, as they say, 'to clean up the wreckage of their past'. Maybe he needs recovery. I think by love we serve one another and help the Body of Christ be whole and remember Jesus is the answer for people trapped and oppressed in sin.

Thank you for bringing this up. I didn't want to bash the guy. But this divorce should not be overlooked. In this case it seems clear cut adultery. Too many leaders in the church are divorcing and many just move on a year later. It really out of control at this point. We need better teaching on marriage and divorce in the church. It should be till death do us part for two Christians.

Don't know him or have any direct knowledge of particulars, but if it is what it would appear to be (kick your spouse to the curb, and seduce your brother's wife away from him), the behavior is consistent with apostasy. The really hard thing is that in the world of TV and internet personalities, their isn't (YET!) any mechanism for church discipline that spans across regions or nations. We really need to know those who labor among us.

I never went to IHOPKC, I visited once. My father was a pastor and he didn't have a good feeling about this place and I took his side on the matter. This was around 2004. My brother insisted that he go and that my parents support him, which they did. He spent about a decade at IHOPKC. He ended up having a crush on Misty and gave her a flower and asked her out. Soon after he did that the church alienated him. He had a few other room mates on the campus and the church relocated his room mates to different housing leaving him in the shared apartment by himself with the church obligating him to pay the full cost which he couldn't afford. All because he had a crush on Misty. Now that I see the polygamy that her and other leaders of that church had, I can see the full picture. I'm not trying to bash, but they need to be held accountable, Bickle needs to face man's justice for being a pedophile among other disgusting things. Misty needs to be held accountable for playing along and ruining people's lives. This is what's become of their legacy. They shouldn't be allowed to just go and hide from this with the hopes that it will go away. It won't and it shouldn't go away til they step up and hold themselves accountable.

Feeling wonderful feelings that gratify the flesh and cause weeping and euphoria is not proof that people love God and it is not proof that God approves of their sinful life and impure hearts. It is not a sign that they are saved.
Many folks state that they would give their life for Jesus and they may actually have convinced themselves that this is true;
But the truth is many will not put to death the sinful choices they make and the fleshly desires they indulge in. They won't get the sin out of their hearts.
This has to be present tense.
They choose their will above God's and will not live for Him, let alone die for Him. If the above is the case then those folk are not truly saved.
Far too many Christians simply wish to avoid hell. They don't know their Bible and don't know Jesus. The reason they want heaven is because they wish to escape hell. They do not love Jesus and they could care less if they see Jesus in heaven and could care less if he is there. They care if their dog is in heaven but do not care if Jesus is.
Some love their dog and their sin above Jesus.
Now that is not loving God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength.

That was all the information given out. I am still grieving and crying over the damage that has been done to others and myself. I don’t understand why they won’t let it go. I don’t get it.

I attended a church two weeks ago that used a room at ihopkc til they got a permanent location. I went to prayer room like an hr bc I walked over from the Airbnb next door.
What's with immediately starting another church? It's like, oh well that one didn't work, let's try again so we can keep our ministry income going! Really? Isn't it time for sober reflection and mourning and lamentation for the sins of Bickle and company? But no, let's just keep going and start over... What could possibly go wrong?

Yes, that sounds right. I've seen this failure as a sign they were never in the Lord's will to begin with. If Bickle's sins go back that far to the beginning and before IHOP, I question that God was ever in it at all. Complete works of the flesh and religious spirit. What you're reminding me of is that they still believe their deception and this Bickle affair was just an unfortunate misstep and glitch in the plan. What a cult!

I think this adds more layers than just the Morris scandal. You have a while system built upon a narrative primarily starting with Jones (they even tried to create a narrative by using their asuza now conference from the 100 years of first wave pentecostalism years ago) to give legitimacy to themselves as part of that tradition. Dutch Sheets and many prominent missions organizations started giving their endorsement. You watch MB sitting done talking with the president of Cru (a college ministry) you can see the grandiose smile he has. The man is seemingly clearly delusional and this ministries tentacles are getting involved in the wider 'evangelical world' just to bolster themselves as being in the mainstream. The whole thing I'm sure was artificially manufactured just fir the same of launching a movement to restore what they think is missing in the local church (modern day apostles and prophets)

Malachi also played a large part in Greg Locke being named an apostle. That was suspect with how all that happened as well. That is not something to be given as a birthday present which is what happened at the suggestion of Tai. I used to attend that church and God did so much in my life while there, but the tide did change about a year ago and no question it was time to leave. Just very concerned for friends who are still there. I pray for them and the Lockes frequently. A lot of people have left and continue to leave.

The Biblical standards of an apostle: 1.) They fit the character qualifications of Elders/overseers 1 Tim. 3:1-8; Titus 1:1-9 etc. 2.) They have DIRECTLY seen Jesus and directly commissioned by Jesus to be an apostle. 3.) Ministry is accompanied by widespread signs and wonders. 4. Experience apostolic suffering/persecution (2 Corinthians 1:3-6; 11-12)- and OVERCOME IT. (True widespread signs and wonders will threaten institutions with money/political power-causing threats/persecution in Acts 3-5.) 5. Multiply disciples and lead leaders.
If there are apostles today, they fall under jurisdiction of Jesus' warning to his first apostles in Matthew 24:48-51; Luke 12:35-47. If Jesus grants true apostolic authority and the leaders persistently abuse authority, Jesus will administer ETERNAL judgment upon them. We need a national conversation on this warning of Jesus in our leadership circles.

This is all so sad and painful but God will purify His church. I really appreciate how you speak with respect and do not just pour anger and bitterness. This is not anything new to the church. Its been going on for 2000 years. Paul speaks about those who are not in ministry for pure reasons. It is just a cycle that we are in right now. He is in control and knows what He is doing. I will be glad when this season is over and the church can move on into newness and purity of Christ again. I remember when the Charismatic was new and fresh and my heart aches for those times again. Jesus was so sweet. The Toronto blessing was like that in the beginning also.
I was SA'd in a Church back in the 1970s. That church was experiencing Revival. I was saved in that Revival. But ALSO was molested by a Worship Leader at the same time.

I understand that you want to be kind. However no where in the Bible does it say to give someone "the benefit of doubt". It gives clear definitions of what a church leader should be. Also it says to test the spirits to see if they are of God. This whole fiasco including all of these "pastors" is an example of giving people the benefit of doubt. These "pastors" making the news when you truly look into their lives were never qualified.
My words here are of course rhetorical.
To point out the absurdity of it all.
But they are not allowed to give a negative report; not if they want a healing. They are only allowed to give positive confessions or else they don't have faith and won't get healed. Not to mention all the pressure and coercion. You surely don't want to be the wet blanket and offend people. You don't want to let everybody down when they are expecting and hoping and depending on you to decree and declare your healing so that you can go home and eagerly wait and wait and wait and wait to receive. Do not say you are not healed yet and offend the man of God. Do not speak negative. Only speak positive confessions of faith so that the crowd claps. If you don't pretend then it's all your fault. Well it's your fault anyway.
I never used the word and implied giving Mike the benefit of doubt. He is guilt and this should be taken very serious. But Mike is out of ministry and has said anything public in a long time. We need to start moving past what Mike did at some point. This might take many years for the victims.

I think they lost a head in the war. They reacted over the months in an extremely erratic way, not at all unlike a chicken with its head cut off. It seems that others were simply titular leaders, as they just did not know how to respond to the situation in a Biblical manner.
The leadership in this situation was extremely lacking all across the board. The body of christ is in a war time season. And that calls for a certain type of leader. Many will not have what it takes to lead in the end times church
Part of the problem that so many people want to worship pastors and worship leaders because it tickles their ears and helps them be part of the world. How can these leaders not be corrupted by this kind of worship that should only be given to Jesus. Read your Bibles so you are not deceived by these Wolves. Its the end times and lovers of self are everywhere.

So much of what we FEEL when we 'worship' is of the soul and not the Spirit.Very little of what happens in our meetings is of the Holy Spirit ...... if it were we wouldn't have what we have today. The nonsense in the pulpits and the pew would not be tolerated if the meeting were truly being led by the Holy Spirit. The Word of the LORD recently to the pastors ................ get a job.

When I was there in 2012 at IHOP, I couldn't worship there because everyone sitting in the prayer room had all these laptops open and working on things when there should have been worship to the Lord. I was very disappointed when I finally left there. It answered a lot of questions for me.
Well to be fair. Some of them were students who were studying for their bible school classes

One thing you need to understand is as students we spent hrs and hrs and hrs in the prayer room worship prayer study so seeing people on their laptops is not a big deal. The prayer room was our life for yrs.

As you noted, God's longsuffering is so often misunderstood to mean that He is not serious about judging sin. When actually, He is coming suddenly to His temple, but who can endure the day of His coming, or stand when He appears? (Mal. 3:1,2).
Ironically, it was MB who said that God would change the very expression of Christianity in one generation (40 years have now come since he gave that word.) Fearfully, this is, I believe, a true word. The housecleaning in Moses' day left only two (2) standing from the old generation. May God have mercy, because the change that is coming will not involve the sweet bliss that some have supposed.
Greg locke should not even be a pastor let a lone an apostle. He had an affair on his wife and got rid of her (that is the right term) to marry the lady he was having an affair with. The man is disgusting.

Is the word missionary in the Bible? In other words what is the Greek word for missionary? AND is that the same word in the scriptures?
Apostle and missionary can be used interchangeably in the Greek to a certain degree. Its means messenger and sent one.

The 5 fold ministers are called...like a theophany. Ljke god calls them. We have too many appointed by men...or self appointed. This is not bible...hello. can we just go by the bible?

There are actually 24 Apostles mentioned in the New Testament. But the word apostle has multiple meanings in Greek. Yes Paul was an Apostles. The question is are they around today. It's possible. However a large majority of people who called themselves Apostles are just silly.

As far as apostles and phrophets running churches should be up for discussion. However, the bible never says anything about board members .

@@zhuangcorp because I was involved in ministry with them in 2005 to 2008 and Kirk Bennett was essentially a dictator and in so many words essentially made it out and said himself that they are trying to be in place to take over many people know this who have been involved closely with them most people don’t like them either because of their attitude and disregard of other people, including myself.
Based on the information shared on social media they had a falling out. They had two different visions.

I think the better question is, "Did ANYONE?" I've known Mike since '74, and I was active at KCF for six years during the 80's. Several months before I left there, I had a dream that was revealing of him . . . but only in retrospect (about 45 years later!) have I been able to recognize the implications of it.
"Some men's sins are clearly evident, preceding them to judgment, but those of some men follow later (1 Tim. 5:24).
As even Elisha found out (See 2 Kings 4:27), if the LORD does not choose to reveal something, we cannot see it.
I did start to notice the ministry has become "stale". And unfortunately i did not press into the lord about this more. Mike was the last person in the world i thought would be involved with anything like this. He lived a simple life and had decent theology other then the early ihopkc stuff. This was a huge lesson for me to be more discerning with any ministry moving forward
I do take some responsibility for following him and not picking anything up
