In my youth, “Christmas is the happiest day of the year!” and it’s still the same as ever before, filled with family and gifts, mid-night Mass, then Noche Buena full of goodies, and plenty of home cooked foods, that lasts until the next day! When morning comes, left overs are still warm and smells delicious, all God’s Blessings ♥️ But most all, we celebrate the Birth of Baby Jesus, our Lord and Saviour 🙏 Everything is Love, Peace, Joy and Thanksgiving ♥️ We pray for world’s peace ☮️ And to men of goodwill 👏 Amen 🙏 Thank you, Bishop Barron for a beautiful reflection 🙏

There were readers in the old days even before the invention of the printing press. Literacy may not have been common as today, but there were scrolls and scribes who wrote these scrolls. The attentive Jewish reader may have been a literate Jew who read Torah and read it out loud at temple for all to hear.

The problem with God's plans. A being so powerful that he created the universe. God creates a place and inhabits it with two humans to whom he gives an order. They did not know what it was to disobey but an evil being (also created by God) convinces the female that they can disobey the order. God considers that the guilt of the disobedience of those two humans is not their responsibility only and therefore blames all humanity (which did not yet exist) for that transgression. God is supposed to give free will to all people to be responsible for their own mistakes but it is seen that God also makes them responsible for the mistakes of others. To the point of torturing them eternally for it. Thus, God decides to show benevolence for those he blamed. For this purpose, God decides to create a human male who shows that he can perform acts outside of natural laws and with this endorsement convince humans that he is the son of God and that if humans accept such a thing and that he will pay with his life. for human disobedience, those offenses will be forgiven. But not totally forgiven. Forgiven but not forgiven. Jesus ends up dying and humans are still born with guilt for the disobedience of the first humans. And even though Jesus lost his life for three days, humans are still sinners deserving of eternal torment. The sacrifice of Jesus is a not very effective form of sui generis forgiveness. Most humans end up tortured anyway. God is the most powerful being and also possesses ALL knowledge and yet this is his best plan to relate to his most beloved creations.

The Palestinians in the form of Hamas massacred unarmed innocent civilians in the name of their cause. The State of Israel defended itself with military strikes that are ongoing. Jesus although born of Jewish mother and both Jew and divine in heritage as the the son of God he loves all his children Jew and Palestinian alike this conflict has to stop.

The Palestinians in the form of Hamas massacred unarmed innocent civilians in the name of their cause. The State of Israel defended itself with military strikes that are ongoing. There are wrongs on both sides with this whole situation. I can't presume to know the mind of the son of God but, I believe this current situation would bring great sorrow to Jesus. Jesus although born of Jewish mother and both Jew and divine in heritage as the the son of God he loves all his children Jew and Palestinian alike this conflict has to stop.
