      If you’d like a more efficient delivery of this menopause education, you should do one of the following:
      • Read my book
      • Watch the webinars in order
      • Watch the DVD entitled Your Menopause Your Way
      They all give you the complete education without the fluff of the videos. You can get any of these from my website, MenopauseTaylor.ME.
      And if you want the fastest track, schedule a consultation with me, and you'll get the education along with tailoring of it specifically to YOU. You can schedule a consultation at MenopauseTaylor.ME.
      These videos cover only one piece of information in each video. That’s intentional. If you only use these videos to get your education, it will be very complete, but it will take a looooooong time. Many of my viewers speak English as a second, third, or fourth language. You may not care about them, but I do.
      I am the only person providing a complete and unbiased education on menopause. So, I’m trying to serve the needs of all women. I’m sorry I haven’t served yours well. But I think one of the other options listed above will.

      Did the study study YOU?
      Never isolate any study.
      This is precisely the kind of thing for which I do one-on-one consultations. You definitely need one. I cannot tailor things specifically to you in a comment box. It requires much more information than you can give me here, and you deserve much more information than I can give you here. No two women are alike, and addressing your situation requires tailoring all the facts specifically to YOU. I do them all via online video conferencing. You can schedule at MenopauseTaylor.ME. I look forward to meeting you and helping you.

    Thank you for this information, which you've explained nicely. I'm glad I brought back plenty of tinned sardines in EVOO from Lisbon last week, but now I'm getting a little anxious of the potential microplastics, mercury and PFAS it might contain ☠🐟🤔. As for a WFPB diet, I'm wondering why this is better than an omnivore or so-called "flexitarian" diet if vitamin B12 and CoQ10 is only found in animal products. Isn't it good to have animal products sometimes? As for omega 3 fatty acids, do flax and chia seeds and walnuts contain sufficient EPA and DHA (I take omega 3 fish oil supplements)? Is there a limited daily consumption of walnuts we should be mindful of, considering the high oxalate content (I need to watch my kidneys)? Also, with flax and chia seeds being phytoestrogens, does this mean they can increase oestrogen? Lots of questions! 🌷

    How specifically do Omega 3s and CoQ10 help prevent breast cancer? What are their roles/functions in the body that may help with prevention?

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  8 месяцев назад +1

      There is NOTHING specific about any vitamin, mineral, or supplement, The entire industry is entirely unregulated. You cannot rely on it for anything specific. I have emphasized this several times in my videos.
      I want you to succeed with all your goals. And, in order to do so, you have to know what each option can and cannot do.

      @@MenopauseTaylor I noticed that you did not answer my question. I thought I was clear. Asked another way - What do Omega 3s and CoQ10 do in the body that was found to contribute to prevention of breast cancer?
      Some of us have an inquisitive mind and to us a mere “sound bite”, such as “Omega 3s and CoQ10 may help prevent breast cancer”, without giving reason(s) why, is unsatisfactory.

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  8 месяцев назад

      @@cm1906 The very reason I cannot answer your question is because the vitamin, mineral, and supplement industry does not do research to support any of its claims.
      That's part of it's designation as "unregulated." And it's why there is a disclaimer on every product in the industry.
      So I do not know how Omega 3s or Co Q 10 contribute. There are no studies to consult.
      My theory is that they help indirectly by improving other factors that decrease your risk of breast cancer.
      I'm sorry if I have failed you. I'm doing all I can to help you.

    Good day Dr. Barbie, a little late, but i am here!
    I was hoping you would get to the huge disclaimer about the vitamin, mineral, and supplements industry is unregulated, potentially unsafe, and a travelling salesmans healing tonic for everything that ails you. I used to use a number of supplements for several years that would help neuropathy. Ya, you guessed that they never really did what was promised. Even taking Berberine supplements with my diabetes medication DIDN'T reduce my A1C for the six months i used it. I only take ginger, magnesium glicynate, and calcium. All three are helping...

    With all due respect Dr. Taylor, for an "unbiased source of information", you are the most biased I have come across when it comes to nutrition. In your unit on osteoporosis, I believe you failed to mention that vegans have a much lower BMD than people who eat meat. In your videos about heart disease, you failed to mention that dairy actually has cardioprotective benefits (don't take it from me, take it from Tim Spector, one of the world´s most quoted scientists) and you said that is dairy is a factor for breast cancer, when in fact it is just the opposite, it is protective. Oh, and guess what... flaxseed also contains Omega 6... and by the way, you failed to mention that hardly any ALA, which the plant based Omega 3, get converted to DHA & APA, which is what the body needs. And although you may like to eat ever 3 hours or so, that is not what current research says...and by the way, Vitamin D is also anticarcinogenic.... anyway, I respect what you do, but let's call things the way they are... definitely not unbiased information... Maybe "Υour menopause the vegan way" is a more appropriate name for the channel.

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  7 месяцев назад

      Well, if you already know everything, I guess you don't need this education.
      The great thing about this education is that you can use it (or refuse it) as you please. There is nothing that is right for all women. We are not robots.
      You never have to justify your choices to anybody. The goal is to empower you to manage YOUR menopause YOUR way ... and allow all other women to do the same.

    • @eugeniakyriakopoulou5212
      @eugeniakyriakopoulou5212 7 месяцев назад

      @@MenopauseTaylor I don't know everything Dr. Taylor and I still watch your videos, in fact, I watched 3 today, and I still learn from them. But I do know how to fact check, and I have caught you out on inaccuracies, or false facts countless times, so I have to fact check every single thing you say, and that is tiring... And it's not that I am some meat-lover who is out to get vegans, I am actually mostly plant-based myself. But I can recognise bias when I see it. I totally agree with you, we are not all robots, so ask yourself, how can you claim to empower women when you provide only the information that suits your own lifestyle. Ask yourself, what are you doing for an osteoporotic woman when you are pushing her to go vegan. Sure, one can get enough calcium from vegetables, but epidemiologically speaking, this is not the case for the vast majority of vegans. All I am saying is, if you want to label your information as "unbiased", you'd better make sure you live up to that standard. I get most of my menopause and nutritional information from more unbiased sources these days, but I still think your channel has value and I respect you for what you are doing. Just remember, you have a big audience, and along with that comes big resposibity.

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  7 месяцев назад

      @@eugeniakyriakopoulou5212 An "unbiased education" is one in which I present all your options in all categories, tell you the whole story and the whole truth about all of them, and have no product to push.
      A "biased marketing ploy" is one in which a marketer has a product to sell and only tells you part of the story in order to get you to buy his or her product.
      I (as an unbiased educator) gain nothing from your choices of menopause options.
      But the fact that I present an unbiased education has nothing to do with my opinions. Of course I ave my opinions. But, this is not YOUR menopause management MY way. It's YOUR way.

    • @eugeniakyriakopoulou5212
      @eugeniakyriakopoulou5212 7 месяцев назад

      @@MenopauseTaylor Oh, but you do have products to push. You are selling a book and consultations, pretty much like all the other menopause specialists on RUclips.
      You have just claimed to present us with the "whole truth" and this is where I have a problem, because there is a very clear difference between "the whole truth" and YOUR biased "whole truth". Your "whole truth": "Dairy causes breast cancer". The whole truth based on current scientific research: "There is no good, consistent evidence that milk and dairy products can cause breast cancer. Some studies have found that dairy might increase the risk of breast cancer. Whilst others have found it may decrease breast cancer risk. We need more high-quality studies to understand whether there is a link. The best thing you can do is to eat a healthy, balanced diet." Unless of course you claim to know better than Cancer Research UK.
      Here's another one: "Some researchers have suggested the high fat content of many dairy products or traces of growth hormones in milk may be linked to an increased breast cancer risk [1-2].
      Other researchers have studied whether the calcium and vitamin D in dairy products may be linked to a lower breast cancer risk [3]. A pooled analysis of data from more than 20 studies found no link between dairy product intake (including milk, cheese and yogurt) and breast cancer risk [4].
      However, data from the Nurses’ Health Study II found women who ate 2 or more servings of high-fat dairy products (such as whole milk or butter) per day had a higher risk of breast cancer before menopause than women who ate fewer servings [5]. It’s unlikely eating or drinking dairy products is linked to breast cancer after menopause. However, more research is needed to draw solid conclusions about a possible link to breast cancer before menopause."
      And wait until we get to kefir specifically: "One Swedish study of the relationship between various fats in the diet and risk of breast cancer for women aged at least 50 found that fat from fermented milk products was negatively associated with breast cancer risk. Another Swedish study published in 2020 reported that relatively high long-term consumption of fermented dairy products was associated with reduced risk of ER-/PR- breast cancer."
      On the whole, research on the link between breast cancer and dairy is at best inconclusive, so you standing there in front of thousands of women preaching that dairy causes breast cancer is a clear example of bias, and unfortunately not the only one I have come across in your videos.
      Unlike you, I am happy to share my sources: www.cancerresearchuk.org/about-cancer/causes-of-cancer/cancer-myths/can-milk-and-dairy-products-cause-cancer

    Many of the people that I trust and follow to get information say that it absolutely used to be the case that you could get everything from your food but that with the degradation of our soils from poor farming practices during our lifetimes make that not as likely now and that supplementation is now advisable

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  8 месяцев назад

      It's more than just one problem:
      We have soil that gets degraded by industrialization.
      We have a food industry that strips out the nutrients that are in the food & replaces them with preservatives.
      And we have a vitamin, mineral, & supplement industry that is unregulated, such that the products they make do not contain what they claim.
      We were better off before the agricultural, industrial, and economic forces took over.
