    Don’t know if you r answering comments. If have a garage that the door is 2 feet out from the front of the house. At the house portion a support beam comes from front of house through the garage keeping me from being able to take the chain pull unit all the way above the garage door any ideas?

    John, I have a unique situation, I know everyone’s is unique. But really this one is. The front of my garage sticks out 2 feet from the house. On top of that inside the garage there is a support from the house that goes through the garage that will not allow the door lifting chain rail puller to go all the way to the front above the door. Any ideas. Would like to try and do this myself. I believe would need a bar about 2 feet long from the door to the motor drive chain rail. Any ideas?

    Does it include rail assembly, opener arm, and emergency release? Because it doesn't show those things in the picture on Amazon.

    • @TopHomeowner
      @TopHomeowner  27 дней назад

      Yes, it does. It includes a box rail that you assemble as well as the trolly and release. Depending on how tall your door is you may need to get a rail extension though so be sure to measure it.

      Just the basics, try a different bulb and make sure there's no debris or gunk in the socket. Otherwise it sounds like maybe the unit is defective.

    • @TopHomeowner
      @TopHomeowner  Год назад +2

      @@TopHomeowner thanks! I didn't realize the threaded bolt for the pulley spring was flat on one side and tore the threads up forcing it through. Ended up having to get a new one from chamberlain because it made my belt sag

  • @ozbeats706
    @ozbeats706 Год назад +2

    You could of used the previous rail because the old opener is a belt drive obviously but the Liftmaster one piece t-rail is way better than the square rail and it is unlikely to brake than the section square rail

    • @TopHomeowner
      @TopHomeowner  Год назад +3

      Originally that was our goal, just switch belts but we discovered the belt we purchased for replacement sagged and we needed to get it fixed that day. It was a good excuse to make a video since the Chamberlain used the replacement belt we purchased. We will be reusing the LiftMaster on our other garage door with the appropriate belt. We agree though we would have preferred the one piece rail.
