The 2in1 automatic and manual gearbox is the absolute pinnacle out of all the crazy innovations Koenigsegg had alreaday come up with! Simply genius! I think i fell in love with Christian von Koenigsegg after i saw this masterpiece. 😅
I'm Swedish, crazy about cars. I've never really dreamed about owning a Koenigsegg until now. This is by far the best looking Koenigsegg, timeless kinetic art at the highest level.
Great review, This was the pinnacle of my career and I gave it my blood sweat and tears for 1.5 years. Sasha Selepanov deserves the credit for this master piece, it was his brain child that he brought to me and Christian.
To receive praise from someone so engrained in the design process of the CC850 is a true honour. Thank you so much! I have sent you a LinkedIn connection request. It would be great to chat at some stage gain further insight about the work that goes into creating such a complex piece of automotive artwork!
@@Auto.Anorak Im looking forward to when all the new Jeskos are coming out, seems like we've been waiting forever for them to roll on the road.. will be interesting to see what speccs people have chosen
It happens all the time, super exclusive brands such as Koenigsegg, Bugatti, etc gets sold even before the reveal because those who buy it already know about it and they also know it'll go up in value over time...
Some will call me crazy, But this car can touch 300MPH given that it has considerably less drag and a bit more power than Agera RS which touched 284MPH.
We don't know what the cv is on this thing yet, I doubt it is anywhere near as low as the "absolut" but potentially lower than the Agera RS. This is however pure speculation and it might well have more air resistance than the RS did on it's record run (the RS in nevada actually used a part of the One:1 engine hood .. check videos [edit: check this video at 2 minutes 10 seconds in where you can see the record car and then a standard engine hood on another RS immediately after: ruclips.net/video/zVRVh45aW60/видео.html]). I am also not sure it will be as stable at high speeds as the RS because of this so I don't think it is advisable to try to break the RS record with it. It might possibly be faster on acceleration than an RS though. Cheers 🍺
@@stefanconradsson I mean it doesn't have winglets and splitters in the front like Agera RS and also doesn't have that huge wing. So my guess is this car should have way less Cd than Agera RS at high speed if they program CC850s wing to be in minimal drag postion. This would give this car a big advantage in drag and just shy of 50HP. Agera RS did 284, so this should touch 300.
@@ChiragSanil We will never know is my guess, but I am not as optimistic about it reaching 300 as you are, even if that is just a theoretical number. Cool car though. Take care man. Cheers 🍺
@Alex Alexander Anderson I am guessing it was to reduce drag or make the car more stable at high speeds. I am also 100% sure it was there as you can see in the link I gave in a previous post above at 2 minutes and 10 seconds in. Most people are unaware that the engine hood is slightly different between the RS and the One:1 with the latter being more streamlined and not having the opening/hole on it. Here is the video: ruclips.net/video/zVRVh45aW60/видео.html If you check that video from the beginning and especially at 2 min and 10 seconds in you will see the One:1 hood on the back of the red Agera RS car. (Edit: also at 4 minutes and 18 seconds as well as a closer look at 8 minutes and 07 seconds .. very clear view) I also distinctly remember the Koenigsegg team mentioning this change briefly in discussions about the run .. I think perhaps it was Niklas Lilja himself that talked about it in the long interview he gave about a year or two ago (forgot to whom, perhaps it was Misha Charoudin of APEX taxi fame). Maybe I read it somewhere .. I can't remember. But the videos from the record run shows it clearly visible. Edit: also I am not talking about the entire engine hood from a One:1 but the part between the fins holding the wing, in the middle of the clam-shell (hood), with three long stripes. Can you see what I mean? The hood was restored to its original design after the run. At 9 minutes and 05 seconds the camera man talks about the standard hood on an Agera RS for comparison and shows several cars in sequence with the record car for comparison. There you have it, the non standard Agera RS record run engine hood. Cheers 🍺
So it turns out that Koenigsegg decided to up the production number to 70 instead of 50 because of demand of the vehicle and they choose 70 because CVK's 50th birthday + Koenigsegg's 20th birthday.
THE ONLY REASON IT COST $3.7MILLION IS BECAUSE PEOPLE WILL PAY FOR IT, THAT'S THE ONLY REASON, THEY COULD SELL THAT CAR AT $1MILLION AND STILL MAKE A PROFIT
Supercharged Yes oh my God finally people are realizing that superchargers are better than turbos. Derr Jesko has a Turbo some dvmb car nerd is gonna Say that Turbo has its own Motor to providing spin speed so yeah its basically a Supercharger Turbo Hybrid so yeah nerd who is about to reply to this comment your wrong and Turbos are still crappy cuz of lag and Jesko Turbo is not a Regular Turbo its a Supercharged Turbo.
The steering wheel is not Gemera, it is from the Regera, only with a rounded bottom. www.alainclass.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/2019-Koenigsegg-Regera-YELLOW-7165-31.jpg The interior vents, screen, along with basically everything else that integrates with the monocoque, is from the Jesko. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d0/Koenigsegg_Jesko_Genf_2019_1Y7A5542.jpg
Ahhh ok, thanks for letting me know. I was more saying that they’re similar but it’s good to clear up this stuff so I’m happy there’s comments like this!
@@Auto.Anorak No thank you, your video made me look it up! The logic behind the steering wheel is probably that the Regera is the latest steering wheel they have that doesn't feature haptic buttons, because they wanted this car to have real physical buttons (to fit their vision of this being a more analog experience). And with the monocoque and base interior coming from the Jesko makes sense because it means they can build the CC850 and the Jesko on the same production line.

If you use bio-ethanol/E85 fuel, you will get 1385 horsepower, and that's 1:1 to it's 1385 kg weight.
Very nice 😎

This thing is awesome!! Great video!
This is my favourite koenigsegg. So simple plain smooth. And still have a lovely top speed.
Well done. Great video.
Ill take one!
I remember when the old stig crashed the ccx on top gear!
This is a really nice car they really kept the old styling but in a modern way. Great engineering like always 👍

None of the Koenigseggs are 1:1 ratio. You cant compare metric and imperial and call it 1:1. If it weighed 1366 pounds sure then its there.
