BRO THANY GOD EARNED SAVED A SUB. I just got like 2 days holiday and it went black I removed the plug waited a half an hour pressed the button for like a good minute
I'm done with Sony TVs. Mine is 3 years old and has stopped working. My Samsung is 6 years old. Never had a problem with it.
Same here except my sharp tv was 11 years old, never had a problem
For my tv the power cable wasnt pushed in all the way !! Hop it helps

Bought ours from john Lewis who quoted £800 to fix a £550 sony tv !!!
My sony tv has suddenly gone black even though it was still playing sound and responding to the controller. I turned standby off and on again... same thing.
Then I turned the power off. When it came back on there was no picture or sound, just a red blinking light. When I press between tv & netlfix I can see the faintest change in light on the screen, even though it is still black.
I dont know what to do.
My issue keeps being between power cycling, then if the TV gets cold it shoots the 5 blinks (T-COM) issue and the board was just replaced. Kinda odd, TV was on for a day then did this then TV was on for another day about 2 or 3 days. Back to red light flashing and might have to HARD reset again......... I have a sony Bravia XR-77A80K
My tv works if the HDMI is removed but as soon as I connect it, it turns off and on for a few cycles and then the red light starts blinking 6 times. What should I do?
The simplest solution would be to head over to your local library. Tons of great books and it’s free.

The hdmi trick worked🎉
The first power cycle worked for me. Unplug. Wait 2 min. Hold down power button for 15 sec. Plug back in! That worked. I think my tv got hung up on an update. I would see the animation for it at first, then my tv would just go black and flash the red light 6x. I have a Sony Bravia 55'. it's almost 10 years old. Thank you for this video! I'm so relieved!
I had the exact same Szenario with my android Bravia 55' at 10 years old.

@@MrTurbofire007 Unfortunatly not a permanent solution for me. It only worked for a bit but the TV in the end had to be replaced.

My 2 Yr old sony bravia suddenly died, red blinking light. John Lewis said it would cost double the cost of the TV to fix it 🤷🏼♀️ so they have now kept my tv and refunded me £100 LESS than I paid for it!! Fuming.

@@Khaled.Sulliman I was on the Sony site and it will instruct you based on one or 3 small buttons on the back. I haven’t done it yet but you basically hold down the buttons and un plug and replug at the same time.
