    Thank you so much for the cleaning of the Keurig, I have that on the list today to be done, and I didn’t know how to do it. Keep doing what you do, because I learn so much.

    I can't believe you have the same model as I do. I can't remember when I purchased mine. Tried to make coffee this morning and nothing. Groaned/moaned and zero water. Found you and gave it a try and it worked. I'm sitting here with my coffee and so happy you made this video. Cheers and best wishes

    Well done, Thank you for showing how to descale our loved Coffee makers. Our Keurig just quit on us, but we have a new one being shipped to our home. Once it comes in after two weeks, I will do this process. I want to keep it clean so the light does not come on. I heard sometimes the light does not go out. Even after performing the clean. So thank you again for this video. Much appreciated.

    Enjoyed your video. Recently cleaned mine but now will empty water more often. Never seen a Keurig with that filter. Learned from Keurig that only the Keurig should be plugged into outlet. If I knew would not have throw my first in trash. They need full power from the outlet. Thanks again for a very nice informative video.

    I'll be doing this today in prep for Christmas guests who will inevitably want to enjoy coffee after dinner with dessert. I loved the idea of using a furniture mover for moving the Keurig back and forth on the counter. Great tip!

      You are welcome. I learned about the furniture mover a long time ago from another RUclipsr. I can't remember who is was but it made so much sense because that puppy is heavy! And it's such a quick and easy way to make coffee. I love mine. My sister has a newer and fancier one but mine is doing just fine.

    Good Morning Denise ~ I love your videos. We own the same Keurig as you. I have had ours for about 4 years and had no idea that the filter popped out that easy. LOL I also use vinegar/water. I love the idea of a furniture mover underneath the Keurig. Yes, that thing is heavy! I am going to purchase a mover just for my Keurig. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful day.

      Diane Hayes Hi Diana, does yours groan and sound like a sick cow like mine? Hahaha! I’ve had it five or six years but it’s hanging in there. You can even by a replacement filter so you can swap them out. I got the furniture mover idea from another RUclipsr a long time ago. Don’t remember who. Thanks for watching.

      It does take a minute to clean it but I do like the ease of the single serve. However, I've been thinking about all those people letting the water sit in the reservoir and not changing it out daily. I know my daughter does that and one of my sisters. So, hopefully, this video was helpful to some folks.

    Hey Denise! I descale my Keurig quarterly - I have it scheduled in my calendar. The last time I descaled it, I didn't run it through enough times so my first cup of coffee tasted like vinegar 😝 I had run water through at least 4 whole reservoirs but that wasn't enough!

    • @homemakingwithdenise
      @homemakingwithdenise  5 лет назад +1

      Wow! Four times! That's a lot. I haven't had that problem but I know that it can happen. It might be good to run the whole reservoir through to prevent that vinegary residue. Thanks for your response. Next time I do this, I'll mention that it might be necessary to run it through more than twice!

    Why you put filter back in before descaling?

    • @WrestlingErnestHemingway
      @WrestlingErnestHemingway 3 года назад

      Yeah, most these cleaning the Keurig videos never address the filter issue. That was my exact thought. I think it wouldn't be cleanly to use the old filter or leave the old filter in for scaling or flushing. Because when I clean mine I always have a new filter to put in the machine, and I wouldn't run vinegar especially through a new filter because that wouldn't serve any purpose to cleaning the machine.

      Roxana Peterson Hi Roxana, I’m glad it was helpful. How often do you clean your coffee maker?

  • @WrestlingErnestHemingway
    @WrestlingErnestHemingway 4 года назад

    Good video and helpful but I don't know about running Vinegar through the filter otherwise that Vinegar taste will probably linger for a lot longer. ? I would think it is much better to just put in a new filter, AFTER cleaning the vinegar through the machine. And it doesn't seem cleansy running vinegar and doing the scaling through or with an old filter. I say leave the filter out and after scaling with vinegar, then add the new filter after soaking it for 5mins and rinsing it for 1min. like the instructions say to do. Anyways, I pointed this out only because no other video posts on all of RUclips regarding cleaning an old Keurig machine that has filters, none of the videos mention what to do with the filters. You ran the vinegar through your current filter in this video. I wouldn't suggest doing that as a used filter isn't cleansy and the vinegar taste will last longer I would think requiring a lot more flushing. ?? And I would suggest if anyone is going to clean the machine, anybody should also be replacing the filter with a new one anyways after they are done cleaning the machine.
