    I'm sorry but after reading through the various comments I couldn't help but notice that I couldn't find one question that had been answered/replied to. hmmm what's up with that?

    Being able to block out the background noise is not just helpful for hearing impaired people but also practical for people with good ears. At least I reckon.

    I have the Roger on IN. It works great in presenter mode but if you use it in a restaurant I find it pretty much useless, even with the prioritization feature. If there is a louder person behind the one you want to hear, thats the person you will hear.The hearing aids on their own do a better job, for me anyway. I am a long term hearing aid user with high frequency loss. I think hearing aids have not progressed much in the last few years in enabling one to hear better. My old OPN1 still provides as good or even better hearing experience than the Lumity. The big advance is in phone calls and streaming. The Lumity excels in this regard. Much better than using the OPN1 with connect clip and an android phone.

      I tried the Paradise range and found them no better than my five year old Bolero virto aids used in conjunction with the Compilot neck unit. I’m picking up a pair of Virto tomorrow with a 90 day return offer on the Roger iN. I won’t hold my breath particularly after reading your comment.

    I purchased Phonak Lumity Life hearing aids in Dec 2023. I play pickle ball 3x a week in South Florida. They have failed multiple times with sweating and the heat. Phonak claims Life is sweat proof or water proof up to 10 cm. Not true. My Phonak Life has failed three times in 6 months. The sweat proof feature has not held up to its claim from Phonak. Disappointed and frustrated 😢

      10cm isn't a great deal of water resistance pressure.

    my mom complains that she can hear sentences being spoken, but not comprehend whats being said. she has a phonak audeo L90-R hearing aids purchased 2024. do you think its a programming issue that can be fixed? please advise her next steps

    • @treblehealth
      @treblehealth  Месяц назад

      At this point she can follow these steps: first, get a new hearing test to make sure her hearing has not changed. If her hearing changed, they'll need to reprogram her hearing aids to her current hearing loss. Hope this helps!

    interesting no one every states the spec for the time delay of units. For eg. widex states they are very low with specs but others like phonak may be more like 5 to 6 ms delay cant find the spec anymore for the phonak audeo l90

    • @treblehealth
      @treblehealth  2 месяца назад

      You can usually find the specifications, including time delay, on the manufacturer's website. Look for the product’s specs sheet for detailed information. If you have trouble finding it, contacting the manufacturer directly might also be helpful.

      Take your hearing aids to your audiologist. They can assess the issue and provide the necessary repairs or adjustments.

    Hi Dr. Ben, which Phonak model do you currently use for TRT for your Tinnitus patients? As always, thanks for another informative video.

    The cost is prohibitive for most people I think . If the hear aid’s could be available to more people then the price would come down? Oh well we will see what happens with the new “over the counter” approach. $8000.00 for a pair of hearing aids is hard to comprehend. Research & development, materials & manufacturing,
    professional audiologist’s input and marketing what is the cost breakdown?
    Thanks the video and here’s hoping I win the lottery because a pair of 1st. class hearing aids would be my first purchase.

    Big question from me. I have used the Phonak Paradise 90 for a few month on a trial.
    Now I need to buy. The choice is between the P90 or the L90.
    Important for me is the ability to hear voices clear. Not all the other features for streaming calls music etc.
    I only use 1 for my right ear.
    Is the L90 that much better than P90 for noice environments and with voices?
    I am looking at a price difference of either P90 at $w2,700 or L90 at $4,100.
    Appreciate your help.

    I like your videos and this one especially since I'm about to get a Lumity. One technical suggestion from someone who had made a lot of training videos: In this video you're close enough to the camera's wide-angle lens that your face is getting distorted by the fish-eye-lens effect. If you want close framing of your face, try a longer focal-length lens. (Actress Jamie Curtis has a story about her famous father Tony Curtis telling her early in her career always to look at the focal length of the lens that was being used for a close-up and to demand a longer focal length lens if necessary.)

    So ive spent $4,000 on these very devices. I been using them for a while but only off and on as my tinnitus is bad about every other day for some reason. On the higher days I just find it more annoying to add the white noise that doesn't do well to mask my sounds. It is nice that they're Bluetooth other than I'm in another program that warns highly of EMF so I don't like to use it. It is nice on the quiet days to put them on and hear sounds better as they say I have slight hearing loss but I argue with this as when I did the hearing test at the ENT doctor I have interference of the tinnitus sound. I have hyperacusis as well which I don't like loud noises to start with so it's a struggle to want to leave these devices on but some days I do find it pleasant.

    As far as the “waterproofing” goes, is this dependent on the receiver along with the life model?

    As far as tap control. Are you able select what feature is active with that? For example using it for streaming but not for phone calls. Also can the user turn it off an on with the app? An Can the sensitivity of be adjusted?

    Dr Ben, I have had a lifetime of listening to when you have lost hearing, hearing aids will not give you that back. Well, I have hearing thresholds that are a straight line down from bass to treble, normal to moderately severe "hearing loss". When I use hearing aids, I do not get marginal help, I get wonderful major help. I am ding fairly well every day without aids, but with this sparky technology, I just do even better. Do not DIS my ABILITY, please do not.
