Thank you for the great review. Music and movies are important to me. About 6 years ago, I believed the hype I was reading about how good music sounded through certain modern hearing aids and I bought some quite expensive ones that were said to sound good. I was so disappointed that I very rarely used them. My hearing loss is not great so I could survive without them. Your review plus some others and what I’ve read, have tempted me to try again. Your enthusiasm and the description are really useful.

Thanks Nick for a very useful review. I wonder if you could comment on a couple of potential issues? Firstly, how annoying are the occlusion effects with the custom moulded titanium tips? (I’m talking about sound effects when you’re eating etc). Secondly, I’m aware of the effects you mention regarding auto play videos etc. My particular issue is audio notifications from the Ring app on an iPhone. When these are set to silent, my Phonak Audeo Paradise devices still detect an incoming Bluetooth signal - the effect is that the amplification from the microphone input is temporarily muted, so the devices can mute for a couple of seconds. Annoying, but I can cope with it. If, instead, I got a loud click when the vents opened and closed this would be a whole lot more annoying. I don’t know whether this would be any different with an Android phone.

How much of the improvement is just the titanium molds vs the ActiveVent receivers? I'm probably going to ask my HIS about getting the better receivers, but was interested in knowing if I should look at molds first.

Hey Nick, love you reviews. Keep them coming. Question regarding HA’s and the streaming devices we connect them to, aka our smartphones.
I am an iPhone user and have predominantly worn MFI HA’s, most recently the Oticon More 1. I am currently in my trial period with Phonax Lumity 90. While for the most part they are great. But there are nuances to how they interact with my iPhone. My question is do you know if devices like Phonax play nicer with an Android phone?

my ears dont build up wax often (1-2 months), do you find the titanium mold makes your ears leak (allergic reaction) and whenever it's time to clean them, hor do you do it?

So I am in the test using Active Vent with my Lumity 90. A problem I have diagnosed with the test Acitive vents. Especially one ear. The vent will sometimes close in the right ear, when it should open it stays closed. Been using about 2 weeks. I'll notice it close for say video and when open the right ear feels blocked compared to the left ear. My voice sounds different like when vent is closed, feel the pressure. In morning when I take out of charger it's great until it closes. So you have experienced this yes?

I have had this same experience and had new molds made but it never solved the issue. The company finally threw up their hands and said the issues must be with my phone. So disappointing.
