When you think about it, as soon as you see that familiar face of Tiffany you must realize you are going to die. There is someone you can easily identify, they wont let you live. Driven for hours with tape around your head in the boot of a car, only to be dragged out in a forest. There is no mistaking that. The irony is, at that point they wouldnt have to scare me into giving up my bank details. Giving up your ATM number, your savings account details... those are the best method of getting your killer caught. They will get filmed withdrawing money, purchasing something at a store thats got security cameras, renting a car. And thats exactly what happened. Whats even sadder is, if Tiffany and the boyfriend held back and out of sight, the same thing could have been accomplished without having to kill anyone. They wouldnt be able to identify the 2 strangers, being bound and gagged and threatened with guns etc would have been more than enough to scare frail and elderly people into giving up their account details. Absolutely no need for the murder. The death penalty seems pretty appropriate in a case like this. Callous beyond comprehension.

They key is a human vs a human being. A human being wouldn't do such a thing because of the being part- a sense of ethical and moral responsibility to Life itself. A human, on the other hand, is a wretched creature that will conceive of and carry out the most evil, horrid and wretched acts, sometimes simply for the sake of it. A human will choose evil because of the benefit they perceive comes from the act. Most of the time, nearly all of them succeed with impunity. A human being has a moral and ethical sense of obligation to do what is right, good and just because it is the only thing that will ensure the preservation of the human beings and the world they live upon. It may not be a conscious thought but it's apparent in the way they live. Demons are what they are because that's what they are. Likewise for the beings called angels. Humans have free will, they choose the depths of evil even when fully aware of what it means. Demons can't choose to be anything but demons. To me, that makes the human far more evil than a demon and as it is, I don't entertain or consort with demons. Human beings I sometimes choose to be around, humans I avoid as much as possible.

@@jeaniejbutler4911 we can acknowledge that everything is a choice, but we need to also acknowledge those choices are *different* for different people.
If you have a rich person who’s hungry and a poor person who’s hungry, both could choose to rob a store to get food. But you cannot deny that choice is very different for the two of them. Breaking it down to “everything is a choice” completely neglects the fact that some people simply have harder choices to make. I can choose to buy food instead of stealing it, others cannot. Either way the choice is whether or not to steal, but that choice has vastly different pros and cons depending on who’s making it.
It is absolutely *NOT* as simple as “just making the right choices” and pretending it is only serves to further the divide between the fortunate and less fortunate, perpetuating the idea that anyone who’s poor or homeless is that way because they’re lazy and made bad choices. Me neither but look at it this way, there wasn't a dry eyed Cop either after hearing it. It is a truly shocking and tragic story. It's that buried alive thing, wow. I had trouble getting through it too, that's heartwrenching. I can't imagine what it's like for him to tell it, write it etc. either. It must have taken a few takes, for sure. But wow, what a description too, I've never truly felt/knew, just how bad being buried alive is. It's bad we know it is, but no movie, nothing, could have matched that. It wasn't just dramatic, it was also scientific as to what happens, for real and yeesh!

The death penalty is something that I have such a hard time with. I feel that a lot of innocent people have gotten it, especially before DNA testing. Especially in Texas. And with our system being so broken that guilt or innocence, death or a few years in prison is determined by the accused's ability to afford a private attorney and not rely on a public defender. Also, I consider life in prison with no parole to be a fate worse than death. But there are a few special evil people like Ted Bundy who kept escaping that really needed to be dealt with for the good of humanity. I feel like Tiffany and everyone involved needed the death penalty. Lethal injection or hanging is too good for her.

@@jessi4894 Yeah, true enough. People being found innocent (two brothers just recently in the U.S.) after many years and new DNA methods and evidence, has changed my opinion on capital punishment. However, in cut and dried cases where there is zero doubt whatsoever, I support it. Like Bundy, Dalmer etc. yeah and some of the other notorious ones, there was zero doubt about. And Tiffany and her friends, absolutely. That's just heinous and there's zero doubt there too.
Unfortunately, they dropped the death penalty on them from what someone else just told me in another thread. About the 3 who got death row. If anyone should get it, it's them and now nope.

I must just be a heartless robot then because as horrible as this story was, it didn't make me feel much. 😐
