The house looks like its an example of the finest design. Can you imagine being inside one of those octagonal rooms.

Perhaps the house is gone, but I'm sure the land remains under the family name to be leased out to future property owners...

Thank you for sharing this interesting video of St Oswald's which appears to have been constructed somewhere in the 1850's
    A few facts need correction
Date of birth for Anthony Anstruther Wilkinson isn't available online but on 21st April, 1860 the child was baptised in Limerick city to parents Thomas William and Helena Rosalie Brown. His mother's death is recorded as April 1860 presumably shortly after the child was born/baptised. There are no births recorded online after his father's second marriage to Anne Quirke in 1862
When Thomas William Wilkinson died in 1899 it appears that his nephew Wilfred Francis came to Ballingarry sometime prior to 1901 and based on newspaper articles available online the nephew Wilfred operated an award winning and successful farming enterprise until his death in at St Oswald's in December 1936.
The rev Anthony Anstruther was removed from ministry in 1919 and there was indeed gross misconduct

Always sad to see a house deteriorating like that.

These houses should be put up for sale

Structurally it's likely fucked at this stage. Also, how do you sell it? Who sells it? How are the owners? The state doesn't own it so can't be sold at auction.

@@MolloyPolloy Someone must own it, if not it can be claimed

@@northwaleslife4844 What normally happens in Ireland is a farmer already owns the land, doesn't care about the house, happy to let it fall down.

A very limited market as most purchasers want modern houses

How does this work? Does the land become ownerless? or does the Famer owns the Land and wont want anybody tresspassing? but they dont own the House?
As a Photographer I'd love to photograph places like this or do a model shoot in an old style house, but gussing you'd never get land owner permissions due to insurance/public liability etc

Hmmm, I grew up in the locality. I'm not sure you're information is totally correct. When was that footage taken? I must check with my siblings.
