And the sad thing is that if she didn't.. she probably would have an Olympic Vault Gold medal right now. She was already so ahead of the competition she really didn't need to upgrade.
deescover, I thought that was him but wasn’t sure...it makes my blood boil. I cannot even begin to imagine the pain they all had and the fear they walked around with knowing if they said anything they ran the risk of being shunned.
Going back and watching, 2011 E Scores were all OVER the place and super low compared to what they were in London 2012 and World's 2013 (even though 2013 was a new Quad, I know). Her Amanar in Qualifications for 2011 Worlds was easily better than the one she did in Finals, yet her E Score was almost 0.3 higher in VT EF. And then, her (obviously) best vault at 2011 Worlds got a 9.533 E Score. Comparing that to the 2012 season when most Amanar vaults (even Aly Raisman and Maria Paseka) were consistently scoring 9.3 - 9.5 is WILD to me!
I can watch her vault all day, they are absolutely amazing.
Picture perfect miss her vaults hope to see her competing again soon!
It might sound crazy at this point, but I think her form has improved between 2011 and 2012 :)
Yes
"That is MASSIVE vaulting"
She's such a baddass...I LOVE IT
One of the best ever at performing the Amanar.
She stuck her landing in London :D (not including her vault final)
And within a year, 2 1/2 twist becomes 3 1/2 twist :)
Not xD
Umm, this is gymnastics, not a fashion show. Did either of the previous commenters notice the fantastic vaults?
She even had enough height to rotate another half turn on her Amanar
Ahh she added a half turn on her 2nd vault in London..

Ewwww Larry Nassar 2:22 "Good job McKayla"

I think that was Artur, her coach.
@@pettygryphon9285 No, it was definitely Nassar who said it.

Better than Simone Biles. Simone never sticks the landing. There is always a jump at the end. Maroney is more controlled with her landings.
Maroney is the best vaulter in the World .Her amanar is breathtaking
How weird to bring up another gymnast who wasn’t even competing at this time.
The only three that do it like her are Biles, Paseka and Hong nu Jong
Only biles and hong , paseka is a mess
@@ameliasoto795 paseka is a horrible vaulter
McKayla Maroney was unimpressed and disliked this video.
Her second vault is a half on half off
you mormon she was 15!
half on half off
what is up with her hair.
