Andrew Piorkowski I love the swordtails he breeds the Montezuma and another that the males have red and the females are neutral color pretty rare fish.
The tank has definitely evolved from the point this video was made! The potted plants make it easy to change up the scape & try plants in different places. Occasionally it works out! Thanks for watching!
Beautiful video and fish. Is jealous of you who can buy from Greg .. He has so much good fish. Loves his channel. Good luck with these Splendens they are super nice. Thanks for sharing👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Jimmy Pedersen Thanks man, Greg is an awesome guy! Even if you don't buy from him, his website is full of info and his experiences over the last 40 years in the hobby. Have you read about his observations on alpha/beta male swordtails? All his notes on swordtail breeding are solid!
Yes, I usually check his page. Check again and see if I find what you mean. Think he talked about it in any video I saw. Yes he is incredibly good at fish and aquariums love watching his videos.
Alpha Aquarium He has some incredible swords! Alvarezi, mayae, and the Rio Otapa helleri as well! His collection is amazing! Best of luck with those beauties!
Sorry for my delay but I don't know the moors would like living with Ameca. They are pretty athletic fish & are voracious feeders potentially outcompeting all but the largest fancy goldfish. While they definitely can handle similar water parameters those are my main reasons for keeping them separate.
Hi, sorry for my delay but these can be kept with other species provided the other fish can handle the size & athleticism of the Ameca. At the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, their Ameca live in a big tank with large cichlids & a bunch of swordtails. I keep both my lines in species only tanks. Actually planning an update video on them soon 😉
Thank you all so much for the kind words! Greg Sage

Can these live in a community tank also?
