Your reports are so informative and helpful. I send all your content to my cousins on Marathon. Love your channel and your talented beautiful wife by your side. ❤
Dock talk is a GREAT IDEA! Would actually like to see it weekly (on Friday's for example). This would give you an opportunity to give fishing reports and to PROMOTE good Charters. If I were a Charter Captain I would cherish the opportunity.
Thanks for the update. Wife and I were in town all last week. We ate there and enjoyed it. Unfortunately the wind was bad so didn’t get to do much fishing. We will be back for grouper opening.
Love these as much as the other content! One realizes how much effort and intelligence it takes to be a successful captain. FWIW was up Jupiter in March and the vermillions were biting. Also got my first almaco jack.
Hello. Having been going to the Keys since the 70’s I have had many great places to fish without a boat. That being said, I would suggest looking for some shallow places along the mangroves that you can wade. As I said, I have been doing that for years and the fishing is amazing. One great place to go is at the end of the 7 mile bridge at the boat ramp called “Little Duck Key”. You can wade to your left as you look at the water which is shallow and the juvenile tarpon and mangrove snapper fish is great. So now do me a favor. Don’t tell anyone as this is a secret spot. There are soooo many other places to fish other than the bridges. Enjoy.
These videos are awesome! I have been wanting to come back down to the Keys to fish this time.. This information is extremely helpful in picking the right time to come back down... thank you
I love this kind of thing, and it’s a cool move to pump up your buddies’ charter businesses. Might be cool to do a meet up at the docks when they’re coming back in to see the catch and hear the tales.
The last thing a captain wants is to be filmed, bugged while still working. Which i totally get. Like to finish the day out with their clients, filleting fish and such.
I'm sure it's hard to get the local experts together for a "Strat Chat" and I must commend you. These discussions are flat out amazing. #LocalKnowledge
2nd episode Fishing report love it! Finally a real fishing channel and the applies both rod and free diving nice to hear about both!! Great conversations . But it be a real bonus if you can get your guest to speak about what gear they all use and for which types of fish ??? Maybe on your next episode. 👍👍👍
Hello. May I ask? After having throat cancer removal surgery, and going through all the recovery, etc a little over 2 years ago, my Beloved and I came down to Marathon and stayed at the Skipjack Resort in early April 2023. The plan for the vacation was a complete fishing trip for 5 days. We were able to fish from most of the bridges, and I caught my biggest fish ever with a fishing rod too. (It was only a 3 lb-ish Mangrove Snapper. But for me, that's my biggest fish ever. All other fishes caught are at the fairgrounds, and they're only goldfish in a bag lol). The MAIN issue I have is I suffer from Grand Mal Epilepsy, so we need to base our fishing spots as close to where we can park our car. But during our vacation the roadsides were mainly taped off because they were being repaired due to the storm damages that came through. Are the road side potential parking spots for fishing locations reopened now, or are the still a no-go for road side fishing. Thank you for your video uploads, because everyone makes me want to packthe car and had to the Keys again. Thank you for any feed back you may provide to my inquiry. Best regards to you and your 👍
The best fishing is from the bridges for the most part but there should be places near them where you can cast from shore open. To be honest those kinds of barricades and tapes blocking things can stay up for a long time in the Keys.... not the greatest amount of work and cleanup goes on down there. 😅 Good luck.
@@RikkiTikkiTavi290 Not being a local of the Keys, where the signs say No Stopping, we didn't stop. But we also didn't see many other cars stopped either, unless they were work trucks of course. And even though I didn't catch that much, my catch made the vacation a MUST revisit for us. Next time we'll be more prepared lol. Thank you for your reply too 👍
@@drjimb0311Why RSO for the rest of my life? Or do you only recommend that if you eat what you catch? Just wanting to learn more. Thank you for your reply 👍
Cool. I depend on the local captains here in Myrtle Beach to help with diving here. We dont have the beautiful, all year round diving and fishing so they are a huge help.
Can’t wait May 1st is my birthday!!! I took May 2nd and 3rd off and booked a charter off Islamorada! I can only hope to get on em! I also have a trip on the Yankee Captain later in the month also as a b-day present to myself! Maybe I will catch ya when I’m down there! Keep the videos coming love your content!
It’s a big no no to bug captains while they are still with clients, fileting fish, cleaning the boat etc. It was one of my biggest pet peeves, would rather not do it to others.
I fished king of the beach last year with my boy Capt Zach George of wet lines in Clearwater and fished an inshore slam tournament the day before lol. Whole lot different from the bass derbs lol 😂😂😂
Aaron, I understand that our tastes differ, but, in your personal opinion, what are your five most favorite/delicious fish? Is there one species that you enjoy eating the most?
Coming down May 12th -19th to Marathon with 2 19ft key west boats one Sportsman 1 bay reiff. what are some good fish to hope to see around that time. Thanks,
When Zack says "My month picked up out of nowhere" in regards to his charters, I wonder how much the last Fishing Report episode had to do with that. lol When 10's of thousands of people see ya its amazing how busy things can get! :D
Great video brother. Hey just a thought, do you have any mics you can use? Zack is very soft spoken (haha) but with the background noise it may help for the viewer's sake. Keep up the great work!
Random question, do you know David Yoder or Matt Johnson by chance? Used to guide with them in AK and they were Caps down there in the winter. I believe Matt only spent a little time in the keys then moved to Islamorada. Had to ask. Good content as usual.
Hey man, im coming down in September and going to do some bridge fishing since im land locked but any idea what goes on around the bridges that time of year??
does anybody ever just put a dead bait back for sharks, hook em, let them swim away hooked on medium drag and get them outta picture?? or is always more than one causing problem so that not help much?
Respect to all the captains that joined in . Awesome video. Loved it man .
I like these videos. Love that you bring local talent to your channel and talk real fishing. Thank you
Fierce Pierce… the old stomping grounds. Cool to hear that town to come up in a conversation.

I'd be curious to see a discussion with charter captains about their experience with this spinning fish disease since they're out on the water a lot
Injoy the interviews have you thought of going to the boat location for some of the interviews that seem to be to busy to come to your location.

Saw on another spear fishing channel that he was using a white item put on the spear that seems to stuns the fish. no fight, just fall over dead?
