I'm on board with kukusnest65... Chris Thile has taken it to another level. Love Tony Rice but he just got smoked by Thile. Thile doesn't just rely on the blues scale for his solos!
+martinbox70 Neither does Tony. He has a comprehensive knowledge of scales and jazz harmony. But I know what you mean. It would have been interesting to hear what Rice and Thile could have done before Rice's decline over the last 15 years, with the arthritis and so on.
Banjos and Robots I dont that I'd go as far as "Stinks" but I agree that its a little self indulgent. He is over the heads of a typical listener foir sure when it comes to his compositions
