  • From simple handmade ingenuity to high-tech innovation, LAIKA achieves seemingly impossible feats on each stop-motion animated film. For Kubo and the Two Strings, they built an entire ocean, crafted a boat from handmade leaves, and achieved many more technical feats that made a small-scale movie feel like a large-scale epic.

It’s so beautiful. I wouldn’t have the patience to be honest 😓 I wish I could give them millions of dollars to continue their craft but I’m broke xD

I watched this film yesterday and i am so impressed!!! I love the details and the warm textures. So smooth transitions, even at the way the characters are walking and their garments sway along with them. Im awed!!

I don't think the video actually told the story of how they did it, just how difficult it were. How did they deal with the splashing water or even the ocean itself; it is alluded to but never told..

馒头Lluvia ... If you have creativity, and a passion to play with puppets, and complete knowledge about animation timing and spacing... Then you can surely work with team Laika...!😉

This movie is amazing! But charlize therone's voice work sounded so phoned in. I really wish they had a better voice actor for her part.
