    Hey bro! For the first step after disabling CSM and then going to enable Secure Boot, i didnt get the same error as you did, shall i just save and exit then? Or is something wrong if it didnt show an error

    • @rambotech_
      @rambotech_  7 месяцев назад +3

      If you didn't encounter an error after enabling Secure Boot and you've already disabled CSM, you can proceed to save and exit. It's a good sign that there were no errors, indicating that your system is compatible with Secure Boot.

      1. **Re-enable CSM**: Enter BIOS, enable `CSM Support`, save, and exit.
      2. **Convert Drive to GPT** in Windows:
      - Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
      - Run `mbr2gpt /convert /allowFullOS`.
      3. **Disable CSM and Enable Secure Boot**: Enter BIOS, disable `CSM Support`, enable `Secure Boot`, save, and exit.

    • @rambotech_
      @rambotech_  2 месяца назад

      Yes, converting your drive from MBR to GPT is likely the solution. Here’s a short guide:
      1. **Boot into Windows**.
      2. **Open Command Prompt as Administrator**.
      3. **Run Conversion Command**:
      ```shell
      mbr2gpt /convert /allowFullOS
      ```
      4. **Disable CSM and Enable Secure Boot**:
      - Enter BIOS by pressing `Delete`.
      - Disable `CSM Support`.
      - Enable `Secure Boot`.
      - Save and exit BIOS.

    • @rambotech_
      @rambotech_  2 месяца назад

      To resolve the issue, you need to convert your drive from MBR to GPT and then enable Secure Boot. Here's a concise guide:
      1. **Re-enable CSM**: Enter BIOS, enable `CSM Support`, save, and exit.
      2. **Convert Drive to GPT**:
      - Boot into Windows.
      - Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
      - Run the command: `mbr2gpt /convert /allowFullOS`.
      3. **Disable CSM and Enable Secure Boot**:
      - Restart and enter BIOS.
      - Disable `CSM Support`.
      - Enable `Secure Boot`.
      - Save and exit BIOS.

    • @rambotech_
      @rambotech_  Месяц назад

      It sounds like Secure Boot is enabled in the BIOS, but it's not reflecting in the System Information app after restarting. Try the following:
      1. Ensure Secure Boot is enabled in BIOS and save changes.
      2. Restart and enter BIOS again to confirm Secure Boot is still enabled.
      3. Check if the "OS Type" or "Boot Mode" is set to UEFI (not Legacy).
      4. Save changes and restart.
      5. In Windows, open Command Prompt as Administrator and run: `bcdedit /set {current} bootmenupolicy Standard`
      6. Restart again and check System Information.
      If issues persist, consider resetting BIOS to default or contacting Gigabyte support for further assistance.

      Great tip! To enable Secure Boot on Gigabyte motherboards:
      1. Follow the tutorial steps.
      2. If Secure Boot doesn't activate, try resetting to default configuration on the same screen.
      3. Save changes and reboot.
      This should activate Secure Boot. Thanks for sharing your solution!

      1. Check your motherboard's firmware (BIOS/UEFI) settings to ensure Secure Boot is enabled.
      2. Make sure you're using a compatible operating system with Secure Boot, like Windows 8/8.1 or Windows 10.
      3. Verify that your system and bootloader are set up with UEFI mode, not Legacy/CSM.
      4. Ensure that your bootable media (USB drive or HDD/SSD) is created with UEFI in mind.
      If you've tried these steps and are still facing issues, providing more details about the problem can help in diagnosing and providing further assistance.

      It sounds like there might be a deeper issue with your system's secure boot settings. Double-check that you followed all the steps correctly and ensure that secure boot is indeed enabled in your BIOS settings. If the problem persists, you might want to reach out to Gigabyte or Valorant's support for further assistance, as it could be a specific compatibility issue.

      If you're unable to enable Secure Boot on your Gigabyte motherboard, there could be a few reasons why it's not working:
      1. **BIOS/UEFI Version:** Ensure that your motherboard's BIOS/UEFI firmware is up to date. Sometimes, older versions may not support Secure Boot or may have bugs preventing its proper functioning.
      2. **Compatibility:** Verify that your operating system supports Secure Boot. Some older operating systems or Linux distributions may not work properly with Secure Boot enabled.
      3. **Hardware Compatibility:** Check if all hardware components installed in your system are compatible with Secure Boot. Incompatibility with certain hardware components can prevent Secure Boot from functioning correctly.
      4. **BIOS Settings:** Review all BIOS/UEFI settings carefully to ensure that there are no conflicting settings preventing Secure Boot from being enabled. Look for any options related to Secure Boot, and make sure they are enabled.
      5. **Clear CMOS:** Sometimes resetting the BIOS settings to default by clearing the CMOS can resolve issues with Secure Boot not working. Refer to your motherboard's manual for instructions on how to clear the CMOS.
      If you've tried these steps and still cannot enable Secure Boot, it's possible that your motherboard model or BIOS version may not fully support this feature. In such cases, contacting Gigabyte's support or consulting their community forums may provide further assistance.

      It seems like you're encountering an issue enabling Secure Boot due to the platform not being in user mode or the need to enroll the Platform Key (PK). To resolve this, you might need to access your system's BIOS/UEFI settings and switch the platform mode to user mode. Then, look for an option to enroll or add the Platform Key (PK) to enable Secure Boot. This process usually involves accessing BIOS/UEFI settings during system startup.

    • @rambotech_
      @rambotech_  4 месяца назад

      It sounds like there might be a setting in your BIOS that automatically switches between CSM (Compatibility Support Module) and Secure Boot based on the operating system boot mode. Some BIOS settings have options to prioritize one boot mode over another. I recommend checking your BIOS settings again to see if there's an option related to boot mode priority or automatic switching between CSM and Secure Boot. If you're unsure, consulting the user manual for your Gigabyte motherboard or reaching out to Gigabyte support could provide more clarity.

      It seems like you're encountering issues with enabling Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 on your Gigabyte H410M S2 V2 motherboard despite trying various methods, including updating the BIOS. Here are a few additional steps you can try:
      1. **Clear CMOS:** Reset the motherboard's CMOS settings to default. This can sometimes resolve configuration issues. Refer to your motherboard's manual for instructions on how to clear the CMOS.
      2. **BIOS Settings:** Ensure that you're following the correct steps to enable Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 in the BIOS settings. Sometimes, there may be specific settings that need to be configured in a particular order for them to work properly.
      3. **Compatibility:** Verify that all hardware components, including storage devices and peripherals, are fully compatible with Secure Boot and TPM 2.0. Incompatibilities can sometimes cause issues with these features.
      4. **UEFI vs. Legacy:** Make sure that your system is set to boot in UEFI mode rather than Legacy mode. Secure Boot is typically only available when booting in UEFI mode.
      5. **Contact Gigabyte Support:** If the issue persists, consider reaching out to Gigabyte's technical support for further assistance. They may be able to provide specific guidance or troubleshooting steps based on your motherboard model and configuration.
      By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue with enabling Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 on your Gigabyte motherboard.

      It sounds like you're stuck in a BIOS loop! Try this:
      1. Press F10 to save and exit, but instead of selecting "Save and Exit", choose "Discard Changes and Exit".
      2. If that doesn't work, try resetting BIOS settings to default (usually by pressing F9 or F12).
      3. If the issue persists, try clearing the CMOS (look for a small battery on the motherboard, remove it for 30 seconds, then reinsert).
      4. If none of these steps work, consider seeking help from Gigabyte support or a professional.
      Remember to be cautious when working with BIOS settings, as incorrect changes can cause system instability!

    When i tried to enable secure boot mode it said "secure boot can be enabled when platform is in user mode. Repeat operation after enrolling platform key (pk)" pressing f10 did not work, what do i do

    • @rambotech_
      @rambotech_  7 месяцев назад +1

      To enable Secure Boot, you need to enroll a Platform Key (PK) first. Access your system's BIOS or UEFI settings, navigate to the Secure Boot options, and look for an option to enroll a PK. Follow the prompts to generate or import a key. Once enrolled, you should be able to enable Secure Boot. If pressing F10 doesn't work, check your system's documentation for the specific key or combination to save changes and exit the BIOS/UEFI.

      If you're having trouble accessing the BIOS on your Gigabyte motherboard, try these steps:
      1. **Press the Correct Key**: Usually `Del` or `F2` during startup.
      2. **Timing**: Press the key repeatedly right after powering on the PC.
      3. **USB Keyboard**: Ensure it's directly connected to the motherboard, not through a hub.
      4. **Disable Fast Boot**: If Windows is installed, use `Settings` > `Update & Security` > `Recovery` > `Restart now` > `Troubleshoot` > `Advanced options` > `UEFI Firmware Settings` > `Restart`.
      5. **Clear CMOS**: Reset the BIOS to defaults by clearing the CMOS via the motherboard jumper or removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes.
      If issues persist, check your motherboard manual or provide specific model details for further help.

      CSM keeps re-enabling itself?
      1. Save & exit BIOS correctly
      2. Update BIOS to latest version
      3. Reset BIOS to default
      4. Disable "CSM Auto-Enable" (if available)
      If issue persists, contact motherboard support.

    whenever I'm in user mode and boot up my pc my mouse isn't on screen, the mouse is on but there is no curser and only the keyboard works. • @rambotech_

      The mouse cursor issue in user mode might be due to outdated drivers, conflicting software, or BIOS settings. Try updating drivers, disabling fast boot, and checking for software conflicts. If the problem persists, seek technical support or professional assistance.

      To fix Secure Boot showing as "Off" in System Information on your Gigabyte motherboard:
      1. **Enter BIOS**: Restart and press `DEL` to enter BIOS.
      2. **Enable Secure Boot**: Go to the `Boot` menu and ensure Secure Boot is enabled.
      3. **Install Default Keys**: Check the `Key Management` section and install default keys.
      4. **Disable CSM**: Ensure `CSM` is disabled in the `Boot` menu.
      5. **Save and Exit**: Save changes and exit BIOS.
      6. **Check Status**: Re-check System Information (`msinfo32`) for Secure Boot status.
      7. **Update BIOS**: Ensure your BIOS is up to date.

      It sounds like you're having trouble with the Secure Boot feature. Sometimes, enabling Secure Boot can create compatibility issues with certain hardware or software. Have you tried accessing your BIOS/UEFI settings and disabling Secure Boot? This might help if you're encountering a block preventing normal PC usage.

      It seems like there might be a display issue in the BIOS settings. Try updating your BIOS firmware to the latest version, as it could include fixes for such issues. Additionally, ensure that any changes you make in the BIOS are being saved properly before exiting. If the problem persists, contacting Gigabyte support for specific guidance on your motherboard model could be helpful.
