The RTX 2060(115w) version(electro punk version) with 240hz(same screen as scar 3). Gpu nicely throttles at 86°C, I bought it, noticed the issues, tried everything undervolting and TS limits but sadly nothing worked. Had to return it and I have noticed people having the same model report the same temperatures. So I can't say if it's just a bad batch, bad piece or a bad product but guys be careful when buying it👍
If you are into gaming i5 is the better choice because it'll heat less and is only 5-9 fps behind i7s. i7 is better for productivity focused things like video editing etc, and yes then it is a downgrade
Yes its a downside.. your going to be like 2 cores behind which may not matter now but will help extend the lifespan when games become more cpu intensive because of the next gen consoles...
In india , for that price ,you get i5 10300h +8gb ram (rest same) .The model that you have costs about 1300 dollars (still with 8 gb ram with 1tb storage ).

I tried this laptop for a few days, it was amazing, the RGB was a lot of fun to play around with but in the end, I returned it because I needed a number pad and I needed a slightly higher end graphic card. Bought an Asus A15 with 1660ti as it was the same price.
It isn't great and has several cons 1- screen and sRGB coverage are mediocre 2- single channel memory 3- very small battery considering it has 144 hz display 4- I think it doesnt have a web cam ! 5- weak power adapter output of 150w For $1000 you have alot better choices in the market than this !!
I have the 2019 version but without the lights in the bottom which I bought 3 months ago. Its called Asus Rog Strix G531GT I guess. So with this version I have a problem of heating with heavy games like GTA V when I run it with for more than half an hour. I wonder if they improved the heating issue in this version?
its has the lights on the bottom i have the g531gt too. Its the strix g15 2019 basically but with 9th gen cpu's. Your laptop should have it too, go into armory crate light settings you should have the option to enable the light bar. My unit dosent reach more than 80 degrees even after 3+hours of gaming. You should clean the fans/switch to turbo
I bought a previous ROG Strix laptop (I think last year) the RGB is nice. Biggest downfall is the trackpad and keyboard. Are they improved from last year?
I have this one (Only difference is 8 GB RAM). In india it costed around 90k but they included one huge mouse pad and a ROG Strix Impact II gaming mouse.
I bought the Zephyrus M15 GU502LV from Best Buy not too long ago. They had a 4K display and it was matte. Perfect for video editing, gaming, streaming videos, and productivity.
@@barknbryce6993 What are you talking about? Of course they matter. Unless you are playing a text adventure, or mostly retro games and that CGA/Hercules modes mostly. They are not going to ruin a game in most cases, but of course they matter.

I have this model it’s pretty good I play Forza horizon on max settings fans do crank up but cpu is around 80c gpu goes to 90 ish Photoshop Performance is solid temp stays around 60c And I use it continuously for days without even giving it a rest

Benedict Stanley it’s also pretty good gaming laptop, Intel 10th gen, 16gb of ram, 512GB SSD, tho the gpu is ok with the GTX 1650, clock speed can go up to 5GHz, and most people say it doesn’t get to hit, so for what you get, it’s pretty cheap
Hey ......I know this might be a dumb question but if I ever want to use this laptop with and external monitor I'll be only stuck with 60hz cuz that's what hdmi supports ......so buying a 144hz monitor is useless?
When Acer is able to cram two ssd slots plus a 2.5 inch drive bay and still have a bigger battery than the ROG Strix (58 watts compared to 47 on the ROG) in their 2019 and 2020 Helios 300. And the 2020 Helios 300 also has a WAY more color accurate display, a Webcam (Asus, webcams are very important nowadays in this pandemic era); it has the same six core 10th Gen i7, same 16GB RAM (though the 2020 Helios 300 is using dual channel out of the box if I recall correctly), same 512 GB SSD but an RTX 2060...and aluminum lid and keyboard deck, all for only $200 more at $1,200. Really the only thing the ROG Strix does better is the RGB, cause the Helios doesn’t have that RGB strip around the bottom. But then the Helios 300 has 4 zone RGB keyboard compared to a single zone...But it’s kinda stupid to compare RGB cause it doesn’t affect anything performance wise but alot of you are into RGB so yeah.
The i7 10th gen , gtx 1650 Nd 144hz model of this laptop is retailing for 410Kwd in Kuwait ...that around 1350 usd converted....it's too expensive here in the middle East .... But why tho?..... also would like to see the review of the HP omen 15 2020 Ryzen variant .

Does it say anywhere on the box or the unit itself how many watt hours (e.g. 56wh, 90wh) the battery is? Because a lot of the marketing online is ambiguous - it will often say 90wh on the product description, but 56wh on the item specs...

Display is decent for gaming. Not for content creation.
Good enough for gaming? Yes. Would you notice the difference between 64% RGB and 100%? Definitely yes
The response time of that panel is above 20ms, the pixels can't keep up with the refresh rate. It's a shame.
I think it's the same display as the Tuf A15, 65 percent sRGB, 144 Hz, 20 ms GTG

Unless you need RGB just buy a Zephyrus g14 it's got better build better battery way more powerful CPU (but slightly weaker gpu) for the Same price

i like the new asus keyboards. really good design. but that..slit below the screen is incredibly bad. constantly looking against your will at what is happening behind is not comfortable for the eyes. especially if this "window" is asymmetric. and it looks dumb.
again, hard to imagine what was in that asus guys mind.

If I had the option of saving some money, I'd opt out of the RGB option.
