Jeremy, I know you have a family, business, & life in general...but I'm going to really need you to step up your RUclips game to like 10 or 15 videos a week. Seriously my friend. I just can't get enough. I just feel like we're kindred spirits in so many ways & your videos honestly bring me peace, if that don't sound too corny. Much love & respect from OKC, OK my friend.
An alternative worth consideration is the Positive Grid Spark Mini. It's a VERY small amp (works as a bluetooth speaker too) that has a ton of effects, amp modelling, etc. Disadvantage is it's a separate piece of gear. Advantage is you don't have to stick something with magnets in it to the inside of your acoustic. I use mine with a super compact wireless rig and I like it much better than the Tonewood. The Tonewood is a little glitchy and the magnet thingy goofs up the sound of my acoustic when I'm not using the amp part of it.
@@chemtrailtracker Works if you have a microphone and a jack. Usually pickups work mostly with steel strings, since they pick up magnetic pulses to transmit sound, but certain pickups are made for nylon strings. I think the company sell a nylon string pickup along with the tonewood amp as a bundle. You do not need to have a microphone and a jack f you have the pickup.

Hey Jeremy! I would love it if you bust that thing out on your live streams more often. I had a weird idea... Which would be to use the guitar that has the Tonewood Amp as a speaker (box). So basically set your guitar that has your Tonewood Amp on it, onto a guitar stand, and set it on the table facing the microphone. You may want to tune the strings to a open tuning for the song you're going to play so you get the sympathetic resonance. Or perhaps just cover the strings of the piece of felt or something that will actually quiet the strings on the guitar that has the tonewoodamp. I know this seems redundant and silly but the idea would be that you'd be able to add more volume without getting FEEDBACK.
I suppose I'm a purist in the sense that I think acoustic should stay acoustic, and that playing style should be adjusted accordingly. However, in the store I grabbed one because, well, it's wicked cool. I like doing pretty heavy drone-led folk (picked) and primitivism (fingers), and generally you can't really audibly hear the tone-wood over my heavy and loud steel string playing. So was it a waste? Not at all, some of the reverb settings (plate in particular) are so rich and nice that playing classical pieces on the acoustic is not just passable, but truly beautiful, giving it the depth and richness and clarity of nylon while strumming ever so gently to mitigate the twang. Great for jamming when playing solo (delay and reverbs especially) with other acoustic folks, and certainly unlocks new creative potential if that is what you're looking for. All in all to summarize my thesis, I think every player can get something out of this, whether you like you're like me and want your acoustic to stay acoustic, want a hybrid guitar, or are looking for some inspiration and more creative potential.
Probably going to have to buy one of these because otherwise I would consider selling a couple of my guitars to buy a more expensive guitar and the guitars that I'm eyeballing these days are $7,500+ I'm really curious what one would sound like on my Larrive'e L-03RE. I've never been a fan of too much reverb. It should be used sparingly to make up for a dead room, nothing more. If it sounds like too much, its beacuse it is too much. Maybe others feel differently, but I think its a crutch. No offense to your playing, but every demo seems to be the same, ie. lots of reverb. I grew up in New Market. Love Harrisonburg! :)
11:14 were you playing all that remains?
No, I was playing something I wrote a few months ago. What's the song you're talking about? I'll check it out.
@@JeremySheppard You write some awesome shit man, the song is called Alone in the Darkness by All That Remains.
I just ordered my Tonewood Amp yesterday. I’m going to use it with my acoustic bass.
That sounds fun!
Does it give more volume somehow? I have an acoustic bass, but you can't hear it up against acoustic guitars. I thought about buying one if it would allow me to be heard standing in the middle of acoustic guitars.
I don't know how that is going to sound with a bass.
What about all those trails? Can they be shut down?
In the reverb? Yes, there are several different types of reverb. I chose the biggest and most spacey.
PS, love your playing and appreciate your videos
Thanks, Greg.
Hey Jeremy great video if you want to have even more fun hook it up to an Idevice Using SampleTank and MIDI Guitar you’ll have a ball thanks for the video
Great playing
Just got one.. game changed.
Huge fan of your content. Keep it coming.
I love … love my Tonewood Amp

I've never been a fan of too much reverb. It should be used sparingly to make up for a dead room, nothing more. If it sounds like too much, its beacuse it is too much. Maybe others feel differently, but I think its a crutch. No offense to your playing, but every demo seems to be the same, ie. lots of reverb. Then again I like a little slap back delay when playing electric.
Towards the end of the video, are you playing in standard tuning?
Beautiful Playing.
DADGAD at the end.
@@JeremySheppard I thought so, thank you so much for confirming.
I've used that tuning to perform "The Rain Song", check out my YT Page.
Also, beautiful Gibson, I 100% understand about shifting priorities.
...When any guitar guy turns on a device, falls silent for 10 minutes while playing, stares into a space about 18" from his nose....yeah...I'd say he's digging it.
I swap it back and forth between my Martin DRS 2 and my 12 string. It’s near magical on a 12 string.
So it really works well with a 12 string? I was a musician in the '80's with a Martin D-28 and a D12-28 made in the early '70's. Sound was amazing. I stopped playing 25 years ago due to damage to my left hand and sold the Martins. I just bought a Taylor 12 string and looking for that extra sound to push me forward in trying to play again. Can't find any videos using a 12 string.
@@markbruno6366 it does. All the jangle goodness is enhanced.
Would like to know where you got it for 249.00, 4 months after this was posted, they are going for 369.00
I took market value when the video came out. I was given mine from Tonewood.

What kind of capo is that
It's a Paige but I replaced the rubber. It's usually black.
Thanks Jeremy ⚓️
You got it, Keith!
