I was so blown away by the Tonewood that I decided right away to back the Tonewood 2 with the super early bird special. Tonewood is a game changer. I will be forever grateful to Mike for his amazing skill, and kindness in teaching us about all of the possibilities of the Tonewood. Thanks again guys and keep up the awesomeness.
I just get the tonewood amp yesterday. I'll tell you guys it is truly magical. I can't play without it anymore. It's like a non dangerous drug for me. I wake up today and the first thing i remember was where is my tonewood i need to play it today. Simply magic.
I Saw Mike using this on Rick Beato's Channel and got mine a few days ago! Loving it so far. I have been working on some Tommy Emmanuel songs. I have saved a few presets that really help bring out the melody on the top strings for songs like Lewis & Clark. When I started focusing on acoustic fingerstyle guitar last year I told myself no technology to make myself sound better, somehow this doesn't seem like cheating..lol An easy way to recall a preset while playing would be a fun option.
Greetings good folks at TWA for a great product and thanks to Mike Dawes for the informative demo! Yamaha TAG3 just change the game with a *built in looper* and a intuitive user-interface. So, could you good people at TWA add a looper to your awesome ToneWoodAmp, please? You should grab some of that market share with your higher value offering at a lower pricepoint, because ToneWoodAmp fits on (any) existing acoustics with a piezo and/or electronics.
Wow I am so excited to hear mine on my guitar my babes installed it needed strings anyway so he taped it up but he did put the X piece first! Then he taped the unit in the right spot. I am terrible at putting strings on so waiting on him to come over to put the strings on! I think you are the best for the style of your music. How do I get vinyl of all of your albums? Please contact me if you would
Mike Dawes is Legendary Himself. After seeing what he can do, and watching him demonstrate the many capabilities this is genius! Ive seen videos from other recording artists that exclusively play acoustic, use pedal boards with pre-amp, bass pedal, and many more as they struggled to get the sounds they wanted for the Acoustic. Your talking thousands of dollars they spent... And this gadget is able to do virtually everything that those pedal boards have on one incredible unit that saves you hundreds or thousands of dollars and without the need for a pedal board to set up and lug around. Thank you for show casing this incredible Tonewood Amp!!! 👊 PS Funny thing, I did just see a Unicorn 🦄 walk by...😂

Great video Mr. Dawes😎👍 Your editing...very fun😎👍❤ Can't do without my ToneWood Amp. Your visit with Andertons is a favorite for everyone's reactions...Hilarious 😎👍 😎👍❤🖖 Love folks
LOVE IT! I have one on a Seagull and I have to say this INSPIRES me to play.. I have been using the Plate but I will try the Hall like Mike says! I wanna try the Chorus.. Will have to download!
Great info, I've finally pulled the trigger on one of these. One thing I'm particularly looking for not addressed in the video is a bit of a volume bump, esp for fingerpicking. IIRC the literature says you can expect a 3-9db bump from it. Anybody want to comment on the accuracy of that, say for clean playing so leaving out overdrive and feedback? TIA
They need to do a vocal version, with some gadget that you wear or insert within the person, so that you can dont need a mic and can sing like David Coverdale, I think that would sell.
Hi Team, with Tenavolts batteries, can it overcharged and damage the batteries if we leave it overnight for charging ? Or it has a automatic power cut once the charge is complete so it save to leave it overnight? And do you have the link to download the chorus effect and how to upload it ? Thanks
I tried to test the sound of tonewood amp sticking at back of my guitar(taylor gs mini koa plus) with tape but without setting up X brace inside guitar. The amp was turned on, displaying multiple effects and parameters options, also connected pickup to guitar as well. But it didn’t give any sound. Am i doing something wrong or fault on amp?
So sorry we missed this! Hope you got it figured out. The battery in the GS Mini and making sure the cable is plugged into the input jack is the first place to start!
Gave this thing a go. Not impressed enough to keep it. One thing to know is this is a battery KILLER. I have not experience anything prior to this that drains batteries so quickly. Use rechargeable right? Wrong. Most rechargeables are slightly bigger than store bought AA’s. They get stuck in the compartment and I had to pry it out. Tomewood suggests taping them together.
I bought one, returned it 2 days later. Been playing for over 7 years acoustically, just didn't really strike my interest. You can get better results out of a regular old amp. I guess it's somewhat about convenience and the ability to take some reverb on the go??..but nonetheless it doesn't really sound as great as these videos make it to be...IN my humble opinion.

I got one when it first came out. I have X-braces on 4 of my guitars. It sounds especially wonderful on my Martins.
Great video Mr. Dawes😎👍

@James Sonatore was it a good thing? There are a bunch of effects you can do and where the amp is placed does make a difference.

@mikedawesmusic Got any tips for this common Finger Picking settings question?
Excellent review!
Awesome ❤
Amazing

loved to see you play C major :)
Thanks for this, Mike. Needed and helpful. And you're right, it is awesome!

this would be interesting on a violin or cello.
Tricky putting your hand inside= would need a different way of adding magnets.

What is this song at 3:32?

Hey does the delay have a dotted eight option?
How come it doesn’t have stereo chorus? That’s all it’s missing.
But it does require that your guitar is equipped with a piezo pickup that you plug into it.

I want to buy a Guitar what is the best kind? Do you sell any guitars?
Somehow got the Owen Wilson wow here but not in Loki smh
no ... yes is cool but it needs a rechargeble battery , something you can change in a given moment and also can be charged with a cable ; overnight !
You covered everything except how it sticks to the back of an acoustic guitar. Magnetically just doesn't cut it Mike, guitars are wood??
You stick a magnet on the inside of your guitar
@@riverrage Thanks.
"Unplug".
Step 1 of the instructions: plug it into your guitar's pickup
7
It takes 30 minutes to install for an incompetent person (me)
I didn't like it. I sent mine back.
Nice try. Big scam.
