I went thru some pretty similar shit while pregnant. It was my worse pregnancy ever and I will never forget how I felt during that time. I woke up every single day crying. I'm not sure how she's even able to go on national TV after going thru a lonely pregnancy. I was diagnosed with post partum depression and I spent 5 years in hiding, away from family, away from friends. I just buried myself at home crying so much that I wondered if it will kill me. Raising my child by myself with no help from her dad after he abandoned her. I went to work going through the motions but never smiling, never laughing, never talking unless I needed to. I was just repeating the same depressing cycle everyday. I had to go through therapy and still going today. This can deeply affect a woman and it not only affects me but it more so affects my child now.
Keep being strong for that child show her love no matter what. All she needs now is God and u. U got this💖💪💪
I cried reading this because it's so similar to me and what I went through. Yes 10 years later there is still some lasting effects. But therapy is definitely the right way to go...it helped me a great deal.

I dated a man who raised by his dad and grandmom, disgusting person. My brothers were raised in a nuclear family , and I never seen them treat a woman the way their father treated my mother. You would swear they came from a broken home.
I think what makes the difference is a father or father figure intentionally raising a boy to be a good man and that boy HAS TO WANT to adhere to the teachings. Alot of fathers are just physically present in a marriage but rarely spend time with their kids , teaching them and grooming them.

Putting divorce on the table does not make you manipulative by any means. Your partner's reaction to that will determine what kind of a person they are. Safaree had two choices: 1) Stay and fight for your family. 2) Take the out you've been looking for. Clearly, Safaree has been wanting out for a very long time and just didn't want to be the one to throw the divorce card because he would end up looking stupid when he was the one who chased and tied her down. So to the very end, it was a matter of self preservation and he just didn't want to be the bad guy. He wanted to be the victim. So to me, Erica has to be the real one to make all the hard decisions because Safaree is not man enough to do it. He won't even own that it was what he wanted. He's too much of a coward. A real man/woman who has been through or seen hard pain only asks for two things: transparency and loyalty. Once you have that, you do everything in your power to fight for and keep it.
Too many people hold Erica's past actions against her and they live in the same delusion as Safaree. Whether it was Erica or someone else, right is still right, and wrong is wrong. And Safaree did Erica really wrong.

I don't know if this is Erica's "karma" or not (that's between her and God), but I really felt for her when she asked them to be gentle with her. I wouldn't wish the type of pain that she's expressing on my enemy, if I had one. I'm praying for mental and emotional healing for both of them because divorce or not, they are now stuck with each other.

Erica's problem is that she doesn't listen. She's also too abrasive with her words and lacks control of her emotions. These two are just not compatible nor suitable for each other but I highly doubt Erica will actually leave him. She's just using the divorce as manipulation.

I feel for Erica going through the divorce and then everything with him and the kids, but it was clear to me before they married that he didn’t want to get married so I’m not sure why she put herself in that position. It was clear to me also he was not emotionally and sometimes physically there for her during her first pregnancy and after so I’m also not sure why she had another kid with him. At this point, she’s gotta do what she needs to do to heal and deal with him for the next 18 years. They’re not compatible and I think Safaree has accepted that and checked out but they need to learn how to communicate for the sake of the kids.
