Dear paccar: please find real truck drivers and ask what we want. Then build a truck.
exactly, WE WANT THE PETE 89 again
Is that a truck. Hmmmm. 1999 379. 2.5 million miles. 550 cat. 18 speed. And it's still all there. No plastic falling off. No one drilling holes every were. To mount every electrical gaget there is. Yes you may beat me in fuel mileage. But I'll come out on top after yearly maintenance and still look better. I cant even tell a Volvo from a kw or shaker. Or Pete anymore. It's all plastic fantastic space shuttles.
Looks just like a freightliner Coronado
The older Petes are nice and more dependable this new trucks are full of problems electronic emissions and turbos ! Well a turbo use to last over a million miles an now one year is the life of most turbos ! It’s cheaper building your own truck these days the industry has nothing to offer except crap!
Exactly, just like today's music!
@@MrBonzopersonal You spoke tha whole Truth!💯
You'd have a hell of a truck for $175 on a restomod rebuild.. and it would be exactly what you want... and ELD exempt.
THE POWER ☝️☝️☝️👍👍👍👏👏👏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Dutch power!!
🤣 all cry babys over plastic and other things. I work truck over 21 years and never seen or hear problem with plastic in truck and we got truck who over 1m km. Like wood and metal is every thing how lighter you truck more cargo you can move and more money you.
I live in holland we move more cargo per truck then in usa and have no problems so plastic is not problem its you guys.
This new truck looks super even am more cabover truck
You guys love live in stone age
Peterbilt , Bring back the 359 updated retro model and you will sell them before you build them
But they would make that 359 in plastic like this shit.
Hell yea,its old style but bran new👍👍
So disappointed in the new look. It looks nothing like a Peterbuilt. Looks more like an international to Me.
15 yrs ago you could buy a loaded truck for a $100k with very few cheap plastic interior parts and they were built to last, now they are $175k and a full of cheap plastic and poor build quality😒
Is that the excuse why they didn't hire you as lead designer?
Thay are all like that now. It's a shame
Yep,junk
15 years ago a new 30k car was top of the line now 30k cars are nothing special
@@aquafishsoup , well whoever the lead designer is needs to go get a job at Volvo or Freightliner... Peterbilts slogan used to be "class pays".... You can forget that shit from what I'm seeing with this truck! That's built for the castrated u.s. express fleet. Ain't no "class" in fiberglass and plastic! Those guys in Denton Texas need to hire someone new with old school thoughts! I'll just stick with my 98 379 until then!
I’ll stick with my 01. 2020 is chrome covered plastic Tonka toy. Good job at ruining a legend.
Steven Mc you don’t have to order all that chrome genius
If it has a paccar motor with def you can keep it
paulie walnuts the def tank is there
@Tony Ashford nope I'm a cat guy but that's just my preference it's a nice truck in all but I'll stick with my 98 379
@@El_LeChErO91 yeah I saw it after I said that
What that MX engine is a bigger piece of krapp than the Cummins?
i've got a 389 with a million miles on it , drives like brand spankin new...
ISX?
@@adventuresofwillandshelby6013 probably not...isx is a piece of turd
Ara A talk to em!
Mp
@@marceloevera2009 why
Damn that's ugly !!!!!!!!!!!! Where's the hood? Just another fleet truck.
Seems like a Brand new nice truck.... but NO ONE IS IN LOVE WITH IT!!
I am
If they built them like in the 80s with the cat engines then they'd have something
Have a 2013 386 with 1.5million kilometers.
2016 579 with 1.4million.
Paccar MX-13 485HP.
Both have same spec customized built.
Running strong. 100x better than a shitty Volvo or Freightliner any day.
Oh ugly, Love my big hood 379 with big bunk. Looks like we will run it and keep repairs up to date. After seeing what's out there for new trucks I'll keep my older one. Just can't beat the look of 379 extended hood.
Definitely agree show me the same truck in 25 years like. Mine with 3 million miles and then we talked right
My 389 ext hd is a cat re-power! Couldn’t be any happier!
@@adventuresofwillandshelby6013 the 389 is one of the most sold
until today
Beautiful super expensive truck that you can’t make any money with. I feel bad for anybody in today’s market with a new truck. You know who you are!
Can someone please tell me where exactly there is 175,000 dollars worth?
That Pete looks nice but I rather have older style with 3406 13 speed 355 rears now you got the truck
My Lord ! Looks like a cross between a Pete and a Freightliner Coronado..... I'm sorry but I can't believe anyone would WANT to spend their money on this truck....
It’s shiny but I’ll take my old 359 😆 it’s amazing how so many things are similar 40 years later
Beautifull but repair out of control. Turbos almost 15.000$ part and labor...
Its a damn slightly upgraded 579 that's been glorified with a new number. Just like the new and old Cascadia, same damn truck, just updated the hood and interior. Still a bunch of cheap made garbage.
The new things on trucks are factory made cheap things and some don't last long to replace parts
Looks like a Freightliner knock-off , don't like the front fenders with a seam, and why put in half a bed for what your paying that kind of coin. Legacy class spoiled me, can't improve on perfection, go back to the drawing board.
I have 95 Pete model 379 the best of all with over 3 million miles same engine looking good
How many times did you have the engine overhauled and transmission? I used to own an 04, wish i didn't let it go.
How many engine rebuilds?
Nice what she got in her driver?
Those are terrible
Yes sir stick with the old stuff i own a 97 with a 5ek with over 2 million on her rebuilt twice plus new rears and trans and more its like new run it everyday wouldn't trade her for 10 of these new junks !!!
That heritage color is just AMAZING in the sunlight (Legendary Red)
What a beautiful truck, what they won’t tell you is that there’s no longer any money 💰 to be made in trucking, unless you’re doing something illegal. Companies have been reaping off truckers for the past 25 year’s
We have a couple 2018 and 2019 Pete’s in the yard. All plastic you are better off with an old Pete
Truck One I agree we have 500 trucks out back old is gold
Truck One Pete hasn’t made a quality truck since the 70s, fact.
Brother has 2001 379 I have 98 379 couldn't agree more
I have a 1999 pete and an 85 w900 you can rebuild an old truck to be new again! Just look at mine and the truck show sercket!
Why don’t they off old models from the past I’m sure there sales would go up if they could build you a new 359 or a 352 or 62 cab identical to the original!
Nice but remove the DEF tank with all that junk!!! I’d rather have an 379 2002
Вещь главное чтоб моторчик не сильно навороченный
I have a 1998 379 pete 6NZ the best of the best
I'm in a 03 379 c15 and I agree best of it's kind
I love Peterbilt
Johan Fehr new shit just don’t even look like the Pete’s I grow up to love
If I wanted to drive something that looked like a Freightliner, I'd buy a Freightliner. I'll stick with my 379's.
Very good PETER BILT beautifiul truck 👏👏👏🚌
None will compare to the 379 in class. The 575 hp made it even sweeter. Wouldn't own one of these new models.
Ugly 👎👎 does not look like a Pete!!!! ....... that's a PeterWorth
Welcome to paccar
Boa noite eu fã dos caminhões Peterbilt pensa numas Nave.SHOW parabéns pelo projeto.ass costela carreteiro BRASIL
How about put a roll cage in them ,make them safe as a Nascar!! Get with it!
super bro...😊😊😊🙏🙏🙏🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
You know dam well the fuel tanks was supposed to be polished Aluminum!!!...and the straps around them was supposed to be painted!!
Ride 1 mile behind a dump truck with that grill... You’ll have NO air conditioning for sure 😂
I’ll stick w/ my 68 359 w/ 1693 cat motor! Enough said!😱😁❤️
3406 is better but if you can keep a 1693 running that is pretty amazing
Got some extra motors for parts if you're interested
Lol
And one more thing.... Did they get that steering wheel out of a Mazda 3 or something???? 🤢🤢 🤮🤮... But I guess they finally did got rid of the Ford Taurus looking one that everybody replaced immediately when they bought their truck. But now on this one, you're stuck with the steering wheel that came factory because of all the hardwired buttons and controls on it. 😣😣😣😭😭😭
🤔hijole estan horribles estos trailers como estara el diseñador de horrible💪🤔
Yup that one in the video has the 13 liter Paccar. Junk!! But I’m more of a w900 and western star guy
Deveria liberar a importação ou fabricação desses caminhões no Brasil ,mas com preços acessíveis !
I have a 99 Volvo with a 12.7 and 13speed !! Also have a 07 Coronado with a deleted 14 liter and 13 speed ...550 horse custom tune , done proper....will quit trucking if I ever had to buy a regen truck!!
m g Spoken like a true trucker . I drove for 30 years, and some of the “ trucks “ I drove made me hang my head and weep .
2000 379 600 Signature Cummins 18 spd. 305” wheel base. Heritage !
Please... Stick with Metal Everything # No plastic
Metal recyclable.. plastic winds up in landfills you break parts it goes in the garbage can... 😃🍺😎
Pacar looks to have better quality than freight liner
I'd take the 389 over this....js
I was thinking a 379 with a mechanical 3406 cat anyday
Agree!!!!!!!!!!
"That's a bad truck"... Awesome
Just another “fantastic plastic” truck, Peterbilt has gone against its “heritage” and joined the ranks of the fleet pandering truck makers pumping out these atrocities. NO THANKS, I’ll stick with my ‘85 359 and all of its sheet metal glory!
Apu, equipment box ,bambi crushing thumper bumper and extra deck lights and you would be all set I would install slider rails and custom fender covers .
200k price and it has a 90's stereo deck
dogfacesoldier1234 also dont get it why they dont put navigation on semis.
@@manny1782 Or just use some android controller so using any maps including google maps is possible...It's 2020, this is vehicle, commercial vehicle, so voice controlled map services and wireless phone chargers should be obvious priority for safety reasons, especially when every phone has it, because it's almost decade out
@@manny1782 exactly, they are selling 90k pickup trucks with more options then semis something here isnt right ...... I expected better from peterbilt , for 200k I should have a shower and a restroom and alot bigger fuel tanks and have the 3rd axle for heavy hauling .
Very nice peterbuilt.
Just like KW 990 Navistar plastic peace of junk.
Keep it for 2 year and throw it away.
Lol, wait until Peterbilt comes out with their truck with the long hood like the W990. Quite sure that it'll be something similar to this truck, just with a different hood.
I drive one and your right it's a plastic piece of junk everything in it rattles I'd rather have kept my old 09 386
Don't look good without external air filters
There’s no truck better than the Pete 379 American Class
AMEN TO THAT. NO OTHER
Gone are the Classic Peterbilt Lines. Anything built after 1999. Is Not worth owning.
I don't know man. I would say anything after they retired the 379. Even the 389 gliders with cat power are pretty sweet. The paccar power train is garbage though.
Agreed. Looks like a wussy company truck to me. They just don't get it probably because most of the engineers ARE brain washed wussies.
I had a 2001 379, great truck. C15 cat engine, super 10 transmission. Only real issue I ever had with it was the A/C only worked about 3/4 of the time, other than that, it was a pullin' s.o.b.!!!
Очень красивый грузовик!
No fridge???? To hell with it then.
Супер автомобиль!!!
o migao xou de bola 😎🇧🇷 ese novo pertelbild é lindo parabéns pra todos vocês Deus abençoe a América 🇺🇸🇧🇷
You'll look Cool sitting in that 5-mile construction backup with your E-Logs counting down. No Thank You.
Yes sir. Agree
yeah you can make more money but your breaking the law by fixing your logs. is why we have so much regulation today. one if the reasons anyways.
I'm hourly bring on construction season. Been running the same stretch of I90 between Washington and billings Montana for 3 years now and idaho and Montana having been working on a couple stretches for years now hopefully after this summer all the bridge replacing will be done. But then they will start another project oh well. Hopefully they will change the hours of service rules to benefit us drivers but probably not
Still bitching about elogs? I haven't touched one since the mandate. You have to look harder to find them but there are companies who still run paper. You're probably not going to be driving a 2020 Pete c to c but they're out there.
Lmao
It looks like "peterbilt Columbia " to me
I think they all look like a Columbia
No class anymore!
Did I just see NEUTRAL on that stick ? 🤮🤮🤮
That is no 72" bunk and plastic is not "Heritage"...it's crap.
kanukster what a crappie little mattress.
Can't fit a fat lizard
Классно смотрятся баки и вообще класс.
Muy lindo su estilo es clásico sin duda es la mejor linea eso si le faltaron los filtros del aire por ambos costados para hacerlo más elegante.
Pete’s the ONLY truck I’ll drive. Period. TY.
I can Buy a House “That doesn’t deprecate for the $ you’re asking.. Step up. PETERBILT!!! Realize your clientele 🤔
Peterbilt caters to the corporate trucking firms, not the Owner/Operators anymore!
The good old days when a Pete was king. But not anymore.
It’s time will come when a Swift driver destroys it
Sure Wish I had a Fast Truck.
@@ksr9t Sure Wished I'd Finished Training!
Steering wheel is for turning
.este.engeneiro.acertou.unico.carro.do.plnaneta
To much plastic are they in bed with freighliner no air cleaners.... starting to look cheap can’t me on Pete keep it classy we’re not hauling containers and this model seems to be built for that no way no log truckers will be getting one
For that price I can't see why they could have a nice carbon fibre dash and door trimmings .
Peterbuilt isn't even all Peterbuilt made anymore. They will hire a driver that worked at the car wash waxing cars to wax it. There going to go out of business and you'll be stuck with a flower pot.
Очень круто 💪
Всем хорошего дня
Sadece kafanın ağırlığı 13.200 kilo 7000kg da dorse 21 ton basar ile çalışırsın artık.para kazanamassın ama acayip havan olur😂😂😂
Glad to see doubles and NOT Supersingles.
Шикарный грузовичек
389 all the way f this junk
Looks like 2019 plastic junk.
I already have enough plastic junk in my personal pickup truck.
I don’t need it in a “professional” tool.
Fiberglass is standard in the states these days
The Peterbilt 389 is a really cool Truck both in and outside 😃
Paccar engine .. is not recommended for the common owner operator only dealer can fix ..
Paccar.......yip. although I serviced a few...
@Raymond Hoover yes that's right that engine has put owner operators out of business
Nice Truck Good luck on finding good paying loads to pay for it .
You could say that about any new truck you buy, couldnt you? This is future if you want to dwell on the past prepare to be run over.the world is moving forward faster than anyone can keep up with.
Regardless of the climate change skeptics. You wont have a choice in what you drive in 10 20yrs time. Investment is already underway.and thats from your mates in the oil game.and they wont stop until they capture the market.Money talks bullshit walks.
David Soltai yup!
There are good payloads. problem is u would have to drive yourself and appreciate and passionate of driving a Truck
with 4 dollar fuel
I have plenty of loads to pay for it
Peterbilt needs to bring back the 359 and get ride of all these corporate built trucks !!!!!!
170,000 dollar truck to work a 30,000 dollar a year job.
she's beautiful ! :)
It’s funny what 42 years of change to a business will do just thing in my time the jumpseat was bolted to the floor and nobody said over there and less we were sitting still
are there any trucks exactly like this but automatic
Automatic is for pussies😂😂
Wow!!! That's a good looking Volvo. Damn
Very nice truck! Doesn't look like a 72" sleeper though
Small bed
Looks more like a 48
They didn't show sleeper that's not a mistake
The only thing I think will make it a DEFINITE head turner.......Car hauler front suspension, and Hogebuilt 34" fenders. Other than that, NICE
The best truck in the world. And being better manual
Preciosa Maquina...
The music on here takes me to another place
Así debe ser mecanico
That's a damn nice truck
I will be driving this one when time come
