The Church live playing an epic version of 'You Took', originally from the album 'The Blurred Crusade'. The album took it's name from a lyric in this song.
Ahhhh sweet memories … The church during these early years were such talented artist dedicated in striving to achieve and create there wonderful unique beautiful music
Hate to say this, but Tim Powles simply isn't in the same universe. If you listen to versions of YT on which he plays, he struggles with the insane machine gun fills that Ploogy pulled off with ease.
Saw The Church on "TBC" tour around Oz out at The Bridgeway Hotel, Pooraka (Adelaide). They were phenomenal that night. "You Took" was just so powerful - the riffs went straight through you. Oh what memories.
Another potentially huge band fucked up by one members' penchant for heroin. If they had stayed straight and together, the Church could have gone a lot further than they did. It is a shame. I for one loved their music and their rise . I was a fan way back in the early days at Selinas at Coogee bay hotel.
@@VoidyNumbness Strange, I haven't seen any of their songs on the music charts. I'm glad Steve is clean, and on the mend. It is a shame, because the original line up had a certain something.
While I respect your length of service as a fan, the principal reason the original line up ended was Marty wouldn't show up for work (or return a simple phone call from his band mates). That's on him.
ahhh..., SO GOOD. Television and Church live in the day, amazing. real guitars and amps.
They Were So Good !
Amazing Drumming !

The Best Aust Song bye The Best Aust Band Ever
One of my fave songs ever
This video really shows why so many people rave about Richard Ploog's drumming. I've never seen close up's of him before. He was solid.

Steve has been clean for years and they've made some of their best music since then.

@@luke-ov9hj Bands dont have to have hit singles to be artistically brilliant. That's a crass view.
