This was The Church's peak artistic moment as far as I was concerned. The band produced a lot of great material from then on but they never surpassed this from an artistic POV.
Well, I know the band doesn’t feel that way. They’re just releasing their 26th record and kicking off a new US tour. I agree, they really didn’t get the respect that they earned, but they are still here, creating music, and will blow you away live. In fact, the new lineup is still playing this song I just saw it live in September and I hope they keep it on the set list for the United States. This was an incredible lineup, but people grow older and move on. Today’s lineup is amazing. Go see the band if you’re able 🤘
He is still recording and putting out albums under different guises. He was a great contributor and member of the Church but they've lost nothing with the new line-up on guitars and writing, if the last two Church albums are anything to go by. The Hypnogogue is close to the best thing they have ever done in my opinion
Best Aussie band ever. 👍👍
World❤🎉😊
Super, après les WHO, c'est le meilleur groupe.
sweet Moses, this is the jam! this song never grows old.
Ploog! My god what a drummer!
No yanks or poms came close to this pop/punk rock. Died Pretty, The Saints. Go, we love you! 🏄♀️
Fabulous! Sounds as fresh today as it did 40 years ago!
Thank you for posting this beauty!!
1982 TBC Tour... stood on the dancefloor at their gig at The Bridgewater Hotel, Adelaide... they were blistering that night
Correction to autospell - it was the Bridgeway Hotel, Bridge Road, Pooraka
Absolutely superb. Yes a few great ones these guys among the very best. Most underrated band in rock history.

Shoulda been the biggest band of the 80's along with U2.
Ah um,...they were
I agree they were too. Just not with fan popularity. The Church my favorite band.
@@stevesinewave2562 ah um, nah. The Church could hardly be described as one if the biggest bands of the 80s
Yes. The Church and U2 have always been my top 2! ( then #3 is Jesus+ MaryChain)
Also R.E.M
C super bon
I'm 90% certain I was at this gig, pretty close to the stage. Might have been more than one place.
Pearls are real...
Wilsson-Piper is still looking for that Rickenbacker. Stolen in New York in 1985.
I miss Marty
