Chris Kinser designed this comb cutting too for bee removal. His channel is Kuenzer Homestead @honeybeehomesteading and his email is kuenzerhoney@gmail.com - Хобби
Had my First Ever cut-out last week.
They had gotten into a large heavy-duty plastic crate where my friend kept her goat feed. They had only been there for a couple of weeks. Built 1 1/2 nice pieces of comb that were glued to the ribs of the crate.
Got stung twice in the fingertips... I'm allergic.
Moved the new hive roughly 3 feet every few days.
100% success... and I came out ok too.
Congrats on a successful relocation. I know y'all had fun.
Great video and wonderful tool. I saw the weather report said thunderstorms yesterday & hot weather today. Hope everyone there is well! 🐝 🐝 🐝
Great to see you guys doing another removal .
We enjoy your good sense of humor and professionalism.
Thanks so much. We have a good time doing what we do.
Dirt Rooster’s blowing smoke, literally 😁 Those ladies were relentless. Good job 👍👏😎✌️
I was keeping smoke in the air while Pete was working to reduce the stings he was taking.
I've been doing cut outs for a LONG time so I made a knife with a 90* "hook" om the end about 1-1/4" long. It's a serrated knife and it"s a thin blade.
Hello Randy an Pete I have watched your videos for quite a long while. I
Enjoy them just as much now as at the beginning. You two crack me up . I know by working my bees in bad weather an beforehand YES the Bees do know when a front an storms are coming. On days like that we have to laugh to keep from crying but it is all part of it it’s just another day in the bee yard . Thanks I hope all is doing great . Thanks
Hey Randy and Pete, what a sticky icky day for this job ... and I don't mean the Honey🥵!
You guys sure make a great team laughing thru the worst of it🤣🎉.
JO JO IN VT 💞
Very nice innovative tool you have there, Randy!
Thanks for sharing!
Ever consider it ironic or take it personal that when the weather turns bad the bees take it out on you. I’ve also noticed how humorous you find it when Pete gets stung in the face. It does make me feel better when I see those red welts on your arms.😆
It’s not the fact that he gets stung, it’s his reaction. He is very comical when he gets stung. We have plenty of protective gear with us on these jobs but he chooses to take his chances. No one is off limits including myself. I’ve broken bones and laughed about it. Sometimes when we do dumb stuff it’s just funny.
@@628DirtRooster For most of my life, I’ve been the one in our crowd that provided the comic relief by accidentally tripping, bumping my head, etc. Most of the time the little bit of pain from the unintentional “dumb stuff” was worth providing a few yucks for my buddies.
Love me some bees . Thanks to you guys I got into bee keeping sometime back and I've never looked back . Thank you rooster ... here in Oklahoma btw :)
Thanks for the great support TooCold.
Great to see the Bee-boys back at it! Much love from Iceland.
More to come! Thanks for dropping in from Iceland.
That is a nice comb slicing tool you came up with Randy! Will be interesting to see how your adaptations improve the tool's utility! Thank you for the enjoyable video. Bob...
Thanks Bob. Got some modifications in the works.
@@628DirtRooster Not that I want to give up any gift ideas Randy, but that one older fella down Louisiana way, I wonder what his thoughts could be about why he didnt come up with that new tool? lol
It looks hot and sweaty. Funny while I was watching your video an old spice deodorant commercial came on saying something about hot and sweaty. Perfect timing for this video. Like the cutting tool. Made it look easier. Enjoyed the video. Take care.
The tool works great. Old Spice ain’t bad either. Haha
Same came to me too 😂 hot yoga, woman taking the man’s spray deo 😂
I love watching you work, but I know the mugginess of the south. Florida is worst, because it can be 90' degrees, and raining. but I truly enjoy watching shows on beekeeping
I've worked in Florida a lot over the years and yes, Florida is worse.
wow!! great invention!! just wrote chris.....another invention i wish someone would come up with. forced abscond in trees. Instead of a regular smoker you have to keep puffing......Would be great to have something battery operated. not the cheesy aa battery operated smoker that does not last but something that would run a 20V DeWalt...i would buy several of them. --i use a Dadant smoker but would love to get a better more effcient way without developing carpal tunnel...;) thanks Randy!!
Nasty! I'm not jealous of you guys at all LOL! Keep up the great work Randy!
Yes indeed! Stay muddy my friend.
Like the content of your shows. I think Pete should be on a comedy show. Doing a stand up surround with Honey Bee's 😂. Great Show!
Pete loves to give facts. He’s funny on accident. Haha
It is a blistering 51f here at Anchorage this morning. Never seen any bees in the garden this morning but they will come out with the sun. Very good video thanks for sshowing it to everyone.
How much daylight do you get up there today?
@@Drewjober Theree is about 22 hrs a dat of daylight
I think I'd like it up there but all the family is here.
I've wondered for a few years now why there wasn't a tool like out there. Looks like it comes in pretty handy.
I've had it since January and keep forgetting to use it. Now that I've broken it in on a couple of jobs, I think it's going to become a regular in the tool arsenal.
@@628DirtRooster Looks like a right hand and a left hand are needed. Kind of like tin snips.
Yes. I ordered both today and requested 8” additional length.
Love that tool! Where can they be ordered?
Had a great friend in Sumrall, R.E. Sumrall Jr. We spent time together in the Marines. Lost ouch when I went to Nam. Found some relatives a few years back, said he had been killed. We were able to get them some photos we had of him as a young man. (If I had time I'd tell you about he and myself having to build a sandbox in Gitmo, and sit outside for hours playing in it.)
Randy, I'm using Chris's Tomahawk hive tool!
I gifted mine to my dad. I think it's his favorite.
Ya need the old blue--0 for stings instant relief lol 😂 nice tool will do one outa ally get the tig out.😂. Top video cheers 🥂.
Someone I watch in Africa had a guy that hooked up a blower like you had directly to a smoker and the smoke he was able to produce was amazing, I burst out laughing when I saw it. That guy was not messing around with little smokers!
It works but it burns through material fast.
Ouch! Pete needs to call Terry to get a removers design to a veil.
Hey buddy try using the smoker from the rear of the blower to suck the smoke then blow towards the bees id like to see this working
thank you so very for your content ive been watching your channel since i came across it
I did that first but it was smoke staining the blower and I didn’t want to get it smelling like a forest fire since I carry it inside the truck. It did do a better job that way though.
Be safe good luck with the 🐝
Thank you
I had to come and tell u I was watching someone on yt do a bee removal and they are using spray foam. I'm like ohhhhh nooo the bees will definitely be back lol. I dont think they know what they r doing lol
Haha it’s crazy how many people’s go-to is foam. Am I the only one showing what bees do to expanding foam?
@@628DirtRooster so far your the only one who explains it for us to understand that using spray foam is not how to do it. When I watch others I'm like that's not what 628DirtRooster would do 😆 🤣 😂.
Someone needs to invent a built in ac in those suits lol 😂😂 I had one fall into my hand when I was checking the mail the other day and got me between my fingers. I wasn't bleepin my words tho lol 😂😂
LOL It was a bleeping bee?
@@628DirtRooster she was a Mother EFFFFFIN bleeping bleep bee lol 😂
God bless you guys 😁🍯🍯🍯😋🙏
Thank you
Have your inventor look at KAMA's, in order to get a handle on handing. You'll need a right to go with your left, and I like the idea of push versions as well.
Thanks for sharing.
He’s making me two more, a right and a left, with an additional eight inches. Both will be pull style.
@@628DirtRooster Awesome!
Fox hound bee suit is a really good one I ain't had mine long but I can't complain and I have a couple really good once I wore out and the price ain't really bad it's 100.00 and 25.00 to ship it
I haven't tested one of their suits but I'm sure they're decent since they copied Guardian's design. Is it a triple layer?
@@628DirtRooster yes I'm a big boy like you in the air does flow good through it and I haven't got stung through it
@@628DirtRooster the UPS man was the funniest thing I don't know what made him open that box and pull the frame out and drop it I think you'd have been okay if you didn't drop it
Hey Rick I love watching you battling the bees I'm not a bee guy but I got a question for ya. What is the difference between the African killer bees and those pissed off ones in this video. 😂😂 I truly am wondering.
Great video.
Thanks James
Brutal bee on Amazon has a suit identical to a certain brand you and Mr Ed use for $76. I've owned both
Might have to do a cheap suit challenge.
Oh no Pete run lol
LOL
Oof; between their already reported levels of aggression, plus the storm? I think those bees upgraded from sky-jalapeños to sky-habaneros!
They were "one chip challenge" hot.
Wet here as well.
Blimey they were angry. Will they calm down in a different location, or will they always be that defensive as a colony?
Many times, their temperament changes when moved but they may also remain defensive.
UPS man come by today to drop off some seed he asked me could eat lunch in the yard I told him yes then knocked on her door and asked me if my bees would sting I told him yes if you mess with them so I'm sitting in my chair looking he opens the box pull out a frame and drops it so I don't need to say what happened it was really funny
Sounds like he's a little more adventurous than he needs to be.
This comment made me laugh! 🐝
Ive found cheaper suites do better for me than the high priced ones and I have some hot bees
Very good video thanks😵💫🥴😵😵
Thanks Dix
How do you guys survive that many stings every single day?
I bet none of you have arthritis or any other inflammation disease. I have heard if you get stung often enough in one sitting that it’ll cure limes.
I got stung two years ago and it got my heart going so fast that I had to The hospital. I was in the hospital for two days getting treated with antihistamines and blood thinners.😂
So what do you guys do amazes me?
I'm thankful you survived that. Sounds like it was a little scarry. No arthritis here.
Do yall put the brood cones and coolers so they can keep their shape?
No, they go in a wax melter.
Wow nice
So nice
I wonder if you sprayed some of the honey bee gone on your shirt or something if it would keep you from getting stung. Just a thought
It would keep the bees off of you but you’d also come out of your shirt because it burns your skin.
@@628DirtRooster I wondered if it would burn your skin or not. I enjoyed the video thank you for sharing it.
We have had 3 digit heat Temps in ky
Stay cool. Overheating is dangerous.
Fun = working for hours in high heat and high humidity while being stung by cranky bees
Sometimes
Doesn't the smoke drown the bees going through the vacuum?
It doesn't
4:20 break time 😂
Hay randy, twice now I have gotten an alert of a video post by you but then says private
I tried twice on my phone and the audio was terrible. I deleted them and borrowed Elizabeth’s phone to redo it.
Hey to Pete to
Hey Rooster 🐓
Hey Randle
Good luck. Gtg
Yes sir!
Ouch.
If your getting stung that many times why not put on your bee suit? Just wondering! I know its hot! Great job anyway
Heat stroke is far more dangerous than a few bee stings when your body can handle the stings.
Hot or not I’d have a suit on I can’t stand bee stinging me now I’m a big guy to but sweating don’t hurt near as bad I’ve learned
Dehydration is my problem.
Tried a camelback under there?
will you be rqueening this hive? inquiring minds want to know.........
That queen will stay
Hard not to watch the bee inside your veil.
You said you were smoking the bees how do y’all roll’em Rooster or do y’all use a pipe lollllllllllll??????? I had to say that now I’m not being mean lollllllllllllll.
Pete rolls them in his cigarette machine.
Ouch! Pete needs to call Terry to get a removers design to a veil.
I'm about to order some new jackets. Mine is getting crusty.
If your getting stung that many times why not put on your bee suit? Just wondering! I know its hot! Great job anyway
Heat is worse.
