The last person to cross angled the trekking pole towards his body like he's pushing himself downriver. The instructor anchored his trekking pole slightly angled upriver like using an ice axe. Amazing water crossing!

Shouldn’t waist straps and chest straps be undone for easy escape from the pack of need be? I’m just learning so I’m asking

I think stability is much better if you have your belt buckled. You can see us holding on to each others packs. If yo fall yo don’t want to loose your pack as well
