Yes that air box would be perfect from the mk1 Toledo 16V ABF, just not a lot of those sold anywhere, here in Portugal 97% are diesel, but I will still have a look to see if I find something here, thank you👍🏼
Thank you, you can make an ABF (well kind of) use a ABA block and crank, ABF rods and pistons, use your 1.8 16v oil pump and gears and your 16V head and bingo a home made ABF.
Great video, love your attention to detail. Not much recent mk2 content on RUclips so appreciate your time. Just wondering how you learnt so much and retained all this earlier golf knowledge? Also, how did you end up in Portugal, looks awesome on your 'driving' videos!
I left school and worked at a London dealer in 88' "yep I'm that old" so worked on mk2's when they were new, I have forgotten a hell of a lot over the years. Someone post on the E38 forum back in the day, that I've properly forgotten more than most people know. Which is kind but not really true, so much info out there on the web these days, which is great for everyone and most importantly great for the scene and the cars. Portugal is due to my roots and family 🇵🇹👍🏼 and the weather isn't half bad, plus great food.
Awesome stuff. Thanks for another great video.
Thank you and thanks for watching👍🏼

Nice work. I wish we had those abf motors in Canada. I’m on a standard 1.8 16v on standalone. But I sure would like that extra 50hp. 😃👊
