I have 2017's version of the estate and very comfy on long journeys from Donegal (where I live ) to Dublin or Kilkenny(where relatives live)

Had one in 2010 and a great run around, very frugal on juice. It’s not Peugeot 3008 but it’s on my “ to see list “ for 2021

Owned a Clio in the past. Good car. But we have no dealer network in North Yorkshire to speak of. Mine is a 70 mile journey away. Too far when a good Seat dealer is in the next town . Little things like that make a difference in the buying process. Estate cars are so much better than all the SUVs on one big thing. That is the load lip which is much lower on an estate . So If you have heavy things to put in the back, or dogs, the estate is the far better choice.

5 year warranty. That's good. Hope they sorted electric issues and sensor issues of Laguna days. Looks lovely. I like the wheels. Need extra rubber on Irish roads. Renault suspension in Laguna days suffered from low profile wheels. Miss tourer I traded for hatch back for space. Will go back to tourer in future. What do you think of automatic in this car.. smooth? Great review Mark. Thanks

Seat Leon FR, Renault Megane or Kia Cee'd PHEV ESTATES
Pick 1 basis on price, boot space, tech, battery size and range and efficiency, safety equipment (Blindspot monitoring etc)

I have an earlier model with the 1,2l turbo petrol engine, nice with the 1,6l version for the hybrid. Plasticy interior takes it down a wee bit, but the RS version will be nice.

Good review as always Nobby , where’s the woolly hat ? How many Plug In Hybrids actually get plugged in ? We have a couple at work with the cables unused in the boot !

They must have fuel cards!! I had a hat on when not filming, I think I'll take the plunge next time.

Another great review. Thanks. Are you sure about the price? I can only see the regular Touring on the Renault site for just over 25k.

Hey Mark, cracking review as always. Did it by any chance have Adaptive CC? Haven't seen it on the configurator online.

Excellent review Nobby. Must admit it's a car to watch tho' the electric only range would be useless for me for my work commute as I'm about 70 miles return from my home so I'd be on petrol especially in the winter weather for most of the trip at which point the 1.3tce would be more economical but my choice would still be diesel I think. I've also read that it can be a wee bit slow to react or as I call it "Father Dougal Maguire" from what I've heard in other video reviews and it's not just Renault it's other manufacturers that make plug in hybrids that it sort has an "oh right Ted moment" when u want to put your foot down and that is what would also frustrate the life out of me having driven other automatics in my time. I still think if I was going for Mégane tourer it'd be derv, I just wish great tho' the 1.5 derv is they did it with the 1.7 dci which has 350nm of torque and 150bhp but as they're trying to phase derv out the 1.5 is your only choice.

Looks a very good competitor to Kia Cee'd PHEV plus all the safety kit that Kia doesn't offer at the same price. I'm sure power output is around 140BHP? Surprised by what it offers at similar price to the Kia🤔

Does it have rear view camera? That is very important for me

Big wheels are just a fashion and have no real world benefits.

Must be the cheapest “full size” PHEV option out there? Rest of the car is very meh but a lot of people buy with their wallets first and foremost.
